In einer Transportvorrichtung 1 (Fig. 1) werden Falzbögen 9, die zunächst auf einem Stapel 2 übereinandergeschichtet liegen, von dem Stapel 2 durch eine Greiferkette 3 in an sich bekannter Weise einzeln entnommen. Anstelle der einzelnen Falzbögen 9 können auch Falzbogenstapel entnommen werden. Die Greiferkette 3 weist Greifeinheiten 300 mit Anschlägen 301 auf. Entsprechend dem Abstand der Greifeinheiten 300 haben auch die Falzbögen 9, die an der Greiferkette 3 hängen, voneinander gleiche Abstände, und werden in Richtung eines Pfeiles 4 zu Falzeinheiten 8 (Fig. 3) transportiert. Oberhalb der Falzeinheiten wird die Greiferkette 3 für eine kurze Zeitdauer stillgesetzt. Eine oberhalb der Greiferkette 3 angeordnete Auslöserschiene 5 mit Auskragungen 501, die hinter die Anschläge 301 greifen, wird entweder nacheinander oder gleichzeitig in Richtung von Pfeilen 6, 7 zu der Greiferkette 3 bewegt, so daß die Anschläge 301 durch die Auskragungen 501 geöffnet werden. Anstelle der Transportvorrichtung 1 gemäß Fig. 1 kann auch eine Transportvorrichtung 14 mit Speicherkassetten 140 (Fig. 2) vorgesehen werden. Hierbei liegen bereits einmal gefalzte Falzbögen 9 in aus der oben genannten DE 36 21 832 C1 an sich bekannter Weise in zick-zackförmigen Trägerstrukturen 10, 11. Mit Hilfe von an Transportketten 12, 13 befindlichen Mitnehmern 121 werden die Falzbögen 9 aus den Trägerstrukturen 10, 11 mit den Speicherkassetten 140 in Richtung eines Pfeiles 15 auf Schienen 16 herausgezogen. Die Trägerstrukturen 10, 11 weisen Abstandshalter 100 auf, durch die die Falzbögen 9 voneinander gleichbeabstandet gehalten werden. Anschließend werden die Trägerstrukturen 10, 11 mit den Falzbögen 9 jeweils auf eine Position oberhalb der Falzeinheiten 8 (Fig. 3) gebracht. Jede der Falzeinheiten 8 weist jeweils ein Paar Transportwalzen 17 auf, das sich in Richtung eines Pfeiles 18 in eine Position 17' bewegen läßt. Dabei werden die Transportwalzen 17 gleichzeitig zusammengeschoben, so daß sie den Falzbogen 9 greifen. Gleichzeitig wird der Falzbogen 9 dadurch freigegeben, daß sich die Trägerstrukturen 10, 11 in Richtung von Pfeilen 19, 20 auseinanderbewegen. Dann wird der Falzbogen 9 in Richtung eines Pfeiles 21 transportiert, bis er eine Position 9' einnimmt. Der Falzbogen 9 gleitet seitlich von Blechen 23, 24, 25, 26, bis er zwischen ihnen in der Position 9' mit seiner Unterkante auf Anschlägen 27, 28 aufgestützt, liegen bleibt. Außerdem wird der Falzbogen 9 durch Anschläge 31 und 32, die auf den Schienen 29, 30 befestigt sind und sich zueinander gegenläufig in Richtungen von Pfeilen 33, 34 bewegen, ausgerichtet. Über die Halterung 40 und einen Hebel 45, der jeweils an dem Träger 44 gelagert ist, können die Falzwalzen 39 durch einen beispielsweise pneumatisch betriebenen Zylinder 46 bewegt werden. Nachdem die Bleche 26 durch eine gemeinsame Schiene 48 in Richtung des Pfeiles 37 soweit gegen die Bleche 25 bewegt worden sind, daß die Falzbögen 9 beim Eindringen der Falzmesser 47 straff gehalten werden, werden die Falzwalzen 39 in eine Position 39' bewegt, um das Eindrücken der Falzbögen 9 durch die Falzmesser 47 zu erleichtern. Dabei wird nur jeweils eine Hälfte (d.h. gemäß Fig. 5 die untere Hälfte) in Richtung 34 wegbewegt, während die andere Hälfte (d.h. die obere Hälfte) zwischen den Blechen 23 und 24 eingeklemmt bleibt, so daß eine genaue Falzung erzielt wird. Gleichzeitig werden die Falzwalzen 39 über Stirnräder 53, 54 und Kettenräder 55 (Fig. 3, 5, 8) in Richtung eines Pfeiles 56 (Fig. 5, 7) angetrieben, während die Falzwalzen 38 durch die Reibung mit den Falzbögen 9 in Bewegung gesetzt werden. Die Kettenräder 55 werden über eine gemeinsame Kette 57 (Fig. 5, 7) angetrieben. Dadurch gelangen die gefalzten Falzbögen 9 in eine Position 9'' zwischen die Bleche 41 und Bleche 59, wie insbesondere aus Fig. 6 und Fig. 7 zu entnehmen ist. In dieser Lage werden die Falzbögen 9, nachdem die Anschläge 28 (Fig. 9) aus der Position 28' in die Ausgangsposition 28 zurückgefahren sind, von Zahnriemenpaaren 60 in einer Position 60' erfaßt. Die Zahnriemenpaare 60 werden jeweils über Antriebsrollen 601, 602 bewegt, die über eine (hier nicht dargestellte) Zahnstange analog zu den Transportwalzen 17 aus der Position 60 in die Position 60' bewegt werden. - Folding device in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the positioning means have first plates (23, 24) and second plates (25, 41), one half of the folded sheets (9) or packs of folded sheets being able to be clamped between the first plates (23, 24) and the other half being able to be locked between the second plates (25, 41), in such a way that it can be drawn out from these by the movement of the folding blade (47), in order to initiate the folding process.
- Folding device in accordance with claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the pairs of folding rollers respectively comprise a fixed-position folding roller (38) and a laterally movable folding roller (39), the letter being movable away from the fixed folding rollers (38) in order to facilitate the penetration of the folded sheets (9) or packs of folded sheets by the folding blade (47).
- Folding device in accordance with one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the transversely movable folding rollers (39) can be moved together using a pneumatic cylinder (46).
- Folding device in accordance with one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the folding blades (47) are movable together using rack (51) and pinion (50) gearing.
- Folding device in accordance with claim 6, characterised in that the folding blades (47) are fixed together to a rail (49).
