Abstract

Coaxial speaker units (10) are usually constructed in such a manner that the speaker (12) arranged in the horn (29) of the cone speaker (11) is placed onto the pole core (17) of the cone speaker (11). Having regard to automated production, however, the contacting of the speaker (11) is disadvantageous because either the connecting cables (24) for the speaker (12) must be threaded through the pole core (17) or the connecting cables (24) must be connected to the soldering terminals in the diaphragm (15). It is also known to insert the speaker (12) into a moulded part and to connect this moulded part to the edge of the speaker frame (14) of the cone speaker (11). This latter method is very elaborate and disadvantageous with respect to the acoustic effect. The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a coaxial speaker unit (10) which is simplified with regard to automated production, without impairing the acoustic effect. This object is achieved by the fact that the pole core (17) of the speaker (11) is constructed to be tubular, but the speaker (12) is connected to a holding arbour (22), and that the shaft (23) of the holding arbour (22) is inserted into the pole core (17) of the speaker (11) and is firmly connected to the latter. If the shaft (23) is hollow, the components for the frequency filter can also be integrated in the interior of the shaft (23). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention is concerned with coaxial loudspeaker arrangements, in particular with the assignment of the loudspeakers forming the coaxial loudspeaker system to one another and their contacting.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Coaxial loudspeaker arrangements have long been known in the prior art, so that a further discussion of this arrangement can be dispensed with here.

It is characteristic of the coaxial loudspeaker arrangement that a further loudspeaker, reduced in size compared to the aforementioned loudspeaker, is arranged within the horn of a first (cone) loudspeaker. Since the cone loudspeaker is a woofer in the usual applications and the additional loudspeaker arranged in the horn is a tweeter, this type of assembly is intended of a coaxial speaker system can be maintained for the following discussion. However, this does not imply a limitation of the equipment to the type discussed above. Rather, the cone speaker can also be designed as a mid-range speaker.

The second (tweeter) loudspeaker arranged in the horn can be designed both as a cone and as a dome tweeter.

Essentially two designs are known in the prior art for arranging the tweeters in the horn of the first speaker.

According to one known design, the tweeter with its magnet system is placed directly on the pole core of the cone speaker. The connection of the two aforementioned components is usually designed as an adhesive connection. The contacting of the tweeter with the terminal block of the speaker system is usually solved so that the connection cable of this speaker to the soldering points arranged in the cone speaker and are soldered there. As is generally known, this type of contacting the tweeter is disadvantageous because the connection lines of the tweeter and the soldering point are not insignificantly mechanically stressed by the movement of the cone membrane. In addition, this type of contacting requires a number of complex work steps.

According to another type of contacting tweeters, which are connected to the pole core of the cone speaker, the connecting wires for the tweeter are threaded through a hole which is embedded in the pole core of the cone speaker. However, this type of contacting is very complex with regard to the automated production of coaxial loudspeaker arrangements. This is because the tweeter must be held by a tool during the connection to the cone speaker and another tool must be available which is able to thread the connecting cables connected to the tweeter through the hole in the pole core.

If the signal path for the tweeter is to have a crossover, the crossover is arranged either on the housing of the tweeter or on the housing of the cone loudspeaker, depending on the design of the previously specified cable routing for the tweeter. As can be easily seen, the arrangement of the crossover at the specified locations not only requires special space but also additional soldering work.

In addition to this design of coaxial loudspeaker systems, coaxial loudspeaker arrangements are also known in which the tweeter is inserted into a molded part. The molded part is connected to the edge of the cone speaker, so that the tweeter is arranged by means of the molded part above the cone membrane in the horn. For example, reference is made to DE 33 15 398 (= US 372744) at this point Tweeter is made via connecting cables, which are laid in the molded part or in the housing of the cone speaker. The crossover can be integrated into the molded part or the webs of the molded part. Although this type of cone loudspeaker arrangement is advantageous with regard to an automated production of the system, it is considered disadvantageous, however, that the molded part in which the tweeter loudspeaker is inserted covers a large part of the free radiation area of the cone membrane, thereby reducing the reproduction quality of the coaxial loudspeaker system .

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a coaxial loudspeaker arrangement which can be manufactured automatically in a simple manner and which have an increased sound reproduction behavior.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

This object is achieved according to claim 1 in that the pole core of the first loudspeaker is tubular, that the second loudspeaker is connected to a holding mandrel and that the shaft of the holding mandrel is inserted into the bottom of the pole core of the first loudspeaker and is firmly connected to it .

Because the second (tweeter) speaker is connected to the arbor, it is possible to manufacture the tweeter unit completely separately and to connect it to the cone speaker in a simple manner. The latter is therefore particularly simple and therefore easy to automate because the tweeter arranged on the mandrel for connecting the two speakers need only be inserted with the shaft of the mandrel into the pole core of the cone speaker.

Are according to claim 2, the connecting lines for the second (tweeter) speaker from the contacts of this speaker through the interior of the mandrel and led out at the bottom of the shaft from the mandrel, this had the advantage that after connecting the speakers of the tweeter in very is easily connectable to the terminal block of the coaxial system.

Since the shaft of the holding mandrel is hollow, the components for a crossover can be arranged in it - as stated in claim 3. This has the advantage that no special space is required for these components.

A penetration of particles into the air gap of the cone loudspeaker is excluded if, according to claim 4, the cone loudspeaker has its largest diameter spanned with a plastic fabric.

This plastic fabric does not impair the reproduction quality of the coaxial system if, according to claim 5, the sum of all thread areas that span the bell is a maximum of 25% of the covered area of the bell.

Ways of Carrying Out the Invention

The invention will now be illustrated with reference to the two figures.

This arrangement 10 is formed by a cone loudspeaker 11 and a dome tweeter loudspeaker 12. The essential components of the cone loudspeaker 11 are the magnet system 13, the loudspeaker basket 14 and the membrane 15. The magnet system 13 is formed by ferrite ring 16 and the pole core 17. The voice coil former 18 protrudes with its one end, on which the voice coil 19 is arranged, into the air gap 20 of the cone loudspeaker 11 and is connected at its other end to the membrane 15. The terminal block 21 for the coaxial speaker system 10 is arranged on the side of the speaker basket 14. As FIG. 1 clearly shows, the pole core 17 is essentially tubular. The dome tweeter 12 is connected to the upper plastic mandrel 22. The shaft 23 of the holding mandrel 22 is inserted to the bottom of the pole core 17 and connected to it.

The design of the holding mandrel 22 is shown in more detail in FIG. 2. It can be clearly seen that the connecting lines 24, which are connected to the connecting terminals 25 of the dome tweeter 12, are led through the interior of the hollow shaft 23 to the bottom 26 and emerge from the bottom 26 there. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the capacitor 27 forming the crossover is integrated in the interior of the shaft 23 and switched on in the signal path of the connecting lines 24. If it is necessary, the capacitor 27 can also be omitted in another embodiment, not shown here. In this case, the connecting lines 24 are led directly to the bottom 26 of the mandrel 22.

If the holding mandrel 22 of the type shown in FIG. 2 is inserted with the shaft 23 into the tubular opening of the pole core 17 in the thus completed state, the thickening 28 has the task of locking the shaft 23 in a groove of the pole core 17. This latching is shown in FIG. 1 and shows how the shaft 23 in its end position in the pole core 17 engages with the thickening 28 in a hollow-throat shape on the inside of the pole core 17. In another embodiment, not shown here, the connection between the shaft 23 and the pole core 17 can also be designed as a pure adhesive connection. In the representations according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the connecting lines 24, which emerge from the bottom 26 of the holding mandrel 22, are designed as flexible lines. As emphasized in FIG. 1, this allows the connection lines 24 to be connected directly to the terminal block 21 of the system 10.

If necessary, the contact part led out of the bottom 26 can also be designed as a rigid contact tongue (not shown). Such contact tongues allow the coaxial speaker 12 to be contacted by means of corresponding plugs (not shown).

As FIG. 1 shows, the horn 29 of the cone loudspeaker 11 is covered at its largest diameter by means of a plastic mesh 30. A plastic mesh 30, which has a thread thickness of 0.23 mm and a chain of 9 threads per cm and a weft of 14 threads per cm, has proven to be particularly advantageous as a cover. The braid 30 is capable of effectively preventing particles from entering the air gap 20 without adversely affecting the acoustic effect of the system 10, since the sum of all the thread surfaces of this type of fabric covers the surface of the horn 29 only by less than 25%.
