  • the insulating material of the plate is made of foam polystyrene or a foam of similar plastic material, and each insert is a molded element of impact-reinforced polystyrene or the like, which is placed in the mold intended to receive the pre-expanded particles to be heated to form the insulating plate.

  • This structure of the edges of the plate 2 therefore allows interlocking and, if desired, bonding, during assembly, according to the tenon and mortise assembly technique, thus ensuring good flatness of the insulating covering and limiting the vapor transfer between the interior and the exterior by means of the joints formed between the various panels 1.

  • the arrangement can be a staggered arrangement, such as that shown in Figure 1, or in vertical alignment of the walls, or in any other form.
  • the structure of the panel 1 makes it easy to make the cuts that prove necessary for this purpose, avoiding cutting the inserts.
  • the installation is completed by the installation of the plugs 5. It can therefore be seen that the mounting is very easy because the insulating plates 2 and their inserts 3 are in one piece. Furthermore, as indicated above, the insulation proper is perfectly carried out.
  • the central tubular element 10 comprises a thread 17 intended to cooperate with a thread 18 carried by a socket 19 introduced into said tubular element 10 by its free end.
  • the sleeve 19 is screwed at the desired height so that the part of the latter which protrudes from the panel 1 allows, during assembly, to take up the flatness of this wall. Indeed, the flatness of the facades or other walls to be insulated is rarely perfect.
  • Means are advantageously provided for forming a stop for a tool which is introduced into the socket 19 to facilitate screwing; these means may, as shown, be constituted by two bosses 20, diametrically opposite, arranged on the internal wall of the sleeve 19.
