Abstract

In order to provide an easy-to-operate reception and storage system for model railway trains, in which complete model railway trains can be removed by hand from a model railway system (2) without it being necessary to take the trains off the rails, the reception and storage system has transition sections (4) which can be connected to rail sections (1) of the model railway system (2), these transition sections in turn having rail sections (3). A reception and storage tube (5) consisting of a transparent material can be inserted on a transition section (4) or between two contact transition sections (4) and is retained there. This tube has, in its base (6), on the one hand recesses (7) for receiving rail sections (8) and on the other hand recesses (9) for the free running of a wheel flange (10) of the model railway train. The transition sections (4) have two hook pieces (11) of L-shape design on their side facing the tube (5), these being received with positive fitting by recesses in the base (6) of the tube (5). Each transition section (4) has transmission pins for transmitting contact. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to an entry and storage system for model railway trains according to the preamble of claim 1.

Model railroad system owners tend to buy a large number of different model train sets. Since the model railroad systems usually cannot accommodate all of these trains and the trains are also viewed by the owners as showpieces or jewelery, they are removed from the rails of the system and placed in showcases. However, these are usually not dust-proof and do not offer any other protection for the mechanical components of the trains.

Wie diese Gleiskopplungsteile aussehen bzw. wie diese selbsttätig die Gleise koppeln, ist der DE 86 32 374 U1 jedoch nicht zu entnehmen.DE 86 32 374 U1 discloses a memory suitable for the simultaneous provision of a plurality of train sets for model railroad layouts, with an integrated or step-by-step integration into the rail circuit of the respective overall layout, consisting of a plurality of linear and horizontal rail tracks arranged vertically and with a mutual spacing above one another Track boxes existing register, which is either vertically movable to the rail circle of the entire system or is connected to the latter via a separate lifting platform. For this purpose, the memory has automatic track coupling parts at the connection points. However, DE 86 32 374 U1 does not show what these track coupling parts look like or how they automatically couple the tracks.

Einfahren der Züge, da diese an dieser Stelle vor allem beim Durchfahren unkontrolliert und ungewollt gebremst werden und dies auch zu Beschädigungen an den jeweiligen Modelleisenbahnzügen führen kann.DE 86 15 319 U1 discloses a presentation and storage container made of a transparent tubular hollow cylinder with covers that can be closed on both sides, wherein the tubular hollow cylinder has a single or multi-stage display for setting up presentation objects on the stages of the display. Each level of the display has a clamping rail, which preferably holds rail-bound presentation objects securely against slipping and tipping over by virtue of the fact that the track body has resilient clamping webs. This version of the clamping of model railroad trains is, however, completely unsuitable for driving through or running in of trains, because at this point they are braked in an uncontrolled and unwanted manner, especially when driving through them, and this can also lead to damage to the respective model railroad trains.

The invention has for its object to provide an easy-to-use entry and storage system for model railroad trains, which makes it possible to be able to remove complete model railroad trains from a model railroad system by hand without having to take the trains off the rails, these then being relatively dustproof can be stored, the contact between the entrance and storage tube and the track sections of the model train can be made safely, and the entire system is very simple and very inexpensive.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claims 1, 4 and 7.

Appropriate further developments can be found in the respective subclaims.

The entry and storage system for model railroad trains has transition pieces 4 that can be connected to track pieces 1 of a model railroad system 2 and contain rail pieces 3. An insertion and storage tube 5 made of a transparent material, for example acrylic glass, can be attached or held to a transition piece 4 or between two transition pieces 4, the recesses 7 on the one hand in its bottom 6 for receiving rail pieces 8 and on the other hand recesses 9 for the free running of a wheel flange 10 of the model train.

In a preferred embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, each transition piece 4 has on its side facing the tube 5 two L-shaped hook pieces 11 which engage in form-fitting recesses 12 in the bottom 6 of the tube 5. For contact transmission, the transition pieces 4 have transmission pins 13 which act on the rail pieces 3 and run parallel to these in the direction of the tube 5 and are connected to the rail pieces 3. The transmission pins 13 press laterally onto the rail pieces 8 of the tube 5, with clamping occurring at the same time .

To use the entry and storage system in a model railroad system with an additional center contact, the transition pieces 4 and the tube 5 in their bottoms 14 and 6 between the respective rail pieces 3, 8 can each be provided with a center contact strip 15, 16, the transition piece 4 for contact transmission has at least one transmission pin 13 which acts on its central contact strip 15 and also runs parallel to the latter in the direction of the tube 5. This protrudes into a recess 17 in the bottom 6 of the tube 5 and also presses laterally onto the center contact strip 16 of the tube 5 (shown in dash-dot lines in FIGS. 6 and 7). In order to create a clamp here, too, two transmission pins 13 are preferably arranged on the center contact strip 15.

In a second embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the contact transition pieces 4 are U-shaped on their side facing the tube 5, so that the tube 5 with its outer contour between the two cheeks 18 of the transition pieces 4 can be inserted in a form-fitting manner and thus is held in place.

Each transition piece 4 has a first transmission pin 19, which acts on the rail pieces 3 and runs at right angles to the outside thereof, with contact-mounted compression spring 20, for contact transmission. The cheeks 18 of the transition piece 4 each have a second transmission pin 21 running parallel to the transmission pins 19 and projecting beyond the inner edge 22 of the cheek 18. The two transmission pins 19, 21 are connected to one another via a compression spring 23 mounted in a transverse bore.

The tube 5 also has transmission pins 25 arranged at right angles to its rail sections 8 and acting on them by means of intermediate compression springs 24, which are movably supported and each held by a locking pin 27 arranged at right angles to the transmission pin 25 and engaging in a longitudinal groove 26 of the same, preventing them from slipping out. The transmission pin 25 protrudes into a longitudinal groove 28 of the tube 5 and has a run-in slope so that the transmission pin 25 moves better when the tube 5 is inserted into the transition pieces 4 and cannot become jammed.

For better longitudinal fixation of the tube 5, this has in the area of the projecting transmission pin 25 the groove 28, which abuts with its edges against the projecting transmission pins 21 and thus holds the tube 5.

In another exemplary embodiment, which is shown in FIG. 10, the transition pieces 4 for contact transmission each have a contact piece 29 which runs parallel to their rail pieces 3 and is connected to the latter, which is designed as a U-profile. The rear end of the contact piece 29 is closed, and the front end has a transmission pin 30, which is displaceably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the contact piece 29 and has an intermediate compression spring 31. The transfer pin 30 is also through one in one Longitudinal groove 32 of the same engaging locking pin 33 is held against slipping out and protrudes beyond the outer edge of the transition piece 4.

The rail pieces 8 of the tube 5 are bent at right angles at their respective ends to produce a contact surface 34 and, when the tube 5 is inserted, establish a connection with the transmission pins 30 of the transition pieces 4, the transmission pins 30 likewise having a run-in bevel for better movement.

The tube 5 is provided for model railroad trains with contact transition from above with an overhead line 35, as shown in Fig. 11, which has contact transition surfaces at its respective ends.

To prevent the model train from rolling out when the tube is being transported, the same has clamping elements 45 arranged in its base 6, which hold the wheels or wheel flanges 10 of the model train when the tube 5 is removed from the contact transition pieces 4 (as shown in FIGS. 17 and 18) ). The clamping elements 45 are guided with guide pins 46 in the bottom 6 of the tube 5 in a V-shaped manner to the rail pieces 8 arranged guide grooves 47. In the clamping position, the guide pins 46 snap into a notch 48 at the tip of the V-shaped guide grooves 47. The clamping elements 45 preferably have rubber-elastic coverings 49 on their sides facing the wheel flanges 10 of the model train, so that the wheel flange 10 is securely held on the one hand and the same on the other hand is protected from damage.

The entry and storage tube 5 can be adapted to certain model train lengths. In order to be able to use shorter tubes 5, a rail piece 36 is provided between tube 5 and transition piece 4 Compensation piece 37 used. This compensating piece 32 can, as shown in Fig. 14, be designed so that it is U-shaped at its end facing the tube 5 and at the other end with its outer contour between the two cheeks 18 of the transition pieces 4 or at his the tube 5 side facing two L-shaped hook pieces and at the other end with the hook pieces 11 of the transition piece 4 has congruent recesses (not shown). Here, too, the contact transfer takes place as described above, but adapted to the respective version.

Ferner ist eine Reihenanordnung verschiedener kürzerer Ausgleichsstücke 37 möglich (nicht dargestellt).Furthermore, a series arrangement of different shorter compensation pieces 37 is possible (not shown).

The tube 5 is closed after removal from the model railroad system 2 against dirt and dust at both ends by means of a lid 39, preferably made of acrylic glass (see FIGS. 15 and 16).

However, the individual contact points and the clamping elements 45 remain freely accessible.

The shapes of the tube 5 can, as the Fign. 11 to 13 show to be very different, with the size and design of the tube 5 always ensuring that even after the tube 5 tips over, the model train moves itself again into the rails 8 after it has been set up again.
