Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß ein die offene vierte Seite der Box im Transportzustand verschließendes Gitter dem den Transport bewerkstelligenden Hebe- bzw. Die mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Lager- und Transportmittel durchzuführende Verfahrensweise ist folgende:

Nach Anschlag des Gitters 13 gegen die vertikalen Stirnflächen 17 der dreiseitigen Gitterwand 3 wird die Ladegabel 7 angehoben, wodurch der Obergurt 19 des Gitters 13 in die Öffnung der Verschlußhaken 18 einrückt und das Gitter 13 in seiner Schließstellung arretiert. Danach erfolgt der Transport der Last mittels des mit der Ladegabel 7 verbundenen Hebe- bzw. Flurförderzeugs.   2. A storage and transporting means according to Claim 1, characterized in that the open fourth side (4) of the box (1) faces the loading fork (7) of the lifting device or floor conveyor, the grille (13) being detachably secured to the back (10) of the said loading fork (7).
  3. A storage and transporting means according to Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the grille (13) is wider than the open fourth side (4) of the box (1).
  4. A storage and transporting means according to Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the upper boom (16) of the two parallel areas of the grille wall (3) on the three sides projects beyond the vertical front end (17) of the said grille wall (3) and forms a closure hook (18) in this projecting area.
  5. A storage and transporting means according to Claim 4, characterized in that the face of the hook facing the vertical front end (17) rises upwards in the manner of a wedge.
  6. A storage and transporting means according to Claim 1 and at least one of the following Claims, characterized in that coupling devices, to which members for temporarily securing the open fourth side (4) of the box (1) can be connected, are provided on the vertical front ends (17).
  7. A storage and transporting means according to Claim 6, characterized in that the coupling devices are constructed in the form of hinges, lug-like receiving means or hinge joints, and the members connectable thereto are constructed in the form of trap doors or swing doors, boom sections or swivelling grilles.
  8. A storage and transporting means according to Claim 1 and at least one of the following Claims, characterized in that the lower front end (20) of the grille wall (3) on the three sides is upwardly set back with respect to the underside of the base (2) constructed in the manner of a pallet and projects laterally beyond the base (2).
