Abstract

In order to be able to install large-volume bathtubs with the least possible space requirement, it has previously only been known to use so-called corner bathtubs which have a quarter-circle contour and could only be installed in a corner of the room. To use large-volume, comfortable bathtubs even in difficult space conditions, according to the invention a bath tub shape is proposed, in which, setting out from two parallel bathtub edge parts (4, 5), the respective end-side bathtub edge parts (6, 7) are arranged in such a way that the outer contour of the bathtub edge parts has an approximately trapezoidal course. This results in various installation possibilities, specifically both in the form of a corner installation and along a wall of a building. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a bathtub with an essentially oval bathtub trough, the two longitudinal walls of which merge into mutually parallel tub rim parts, as is known, for example, from DE-U-8 702 390.

Troughs of this design with a substantially rectangular or oval trough edge contour are known in principle. In order to meet the desire for larger bathtubs with higher seating comfort, so-called corner bathtubs have been developed over the years, the edge contour of which essentially corresponds to a quarter circle, so that large tub troughs were possible in a relatively small space, as they were especially for tubs with whirlpool Equipments are desirable. Such corner bathtubs are space-saving, but they require appropriate room arrangements, i.e. the assignment of doors, windows, cupboards, wall projections, as dictated by fireplaces, etc., must be such that in every case a corner of the room for the installation of the tub Is available and at the same time the freedom of movement in the room is not impaired. In new buildings, this can often be taken into account from the outset. It is different with apartment renovations, especially when renovating older apartments that do not have too large bathrooms, so that usually Setting up a large-volume and comfortable bathtub is not possible.

The invention is based on the object of creating a bathtub of the type mentioned at the outset, which offers a wide range of arrangement options in the room, but which is at the same time dimensioned in such a way that great seating and bathing comfort are provided.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a bathtub of the type described at the outset, which is characterized in that the two parallel tub rim parts are of different lengths and at least one of the front tub rim parts runs at an angle thereto, so that the outer contour of the tub rim parts is approximately trapezoidal Has history. A bathtub with such an edge contour can be set up in a room in many different ways. If the bathtub is set up along a wall of the room, there is the possibility that both the longer and the shorter of the two parallel bathtub edge parts lie against the wall. Since at least one of the associated end-side trough edge parts runs obliquely to the parallel trough edge parts, there is thus the possibility of overlapping an existing door opening with the trough and, at the same time, of allowing an, albeit restricted, opening possibility for an already existing door. In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the trough shape is mirror-symmetrical to a transverse axis running perpendicular to the two parallel trough edge parts. In a further expedient embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the end parts of the tub edge run at an angle of 90 ° to one another.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the two end tub edge parts each have an acute angle with the longer tub edge part Form final conclusion. This has the advantage that the tub with the acute-angled end can extend into a corner of the building, so that there is no need to fill a gusset here.

In another embodiment of the invention it is provided that the front tub edge parts are each formed by a longer tub edge part starting from the short tub edge part and a short tub edge part starting from the longer tub edge part, the longer tub edge part and the shorter tub edge part enclosing an angle of 90 °. This arrangement offers the advantage that the end closure in this area in turn contains a right angle, so that when the bathtub is set up, in which it extends into the room, there is a perfect finish.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that a tub edge part, preferably the longer of the two parallel tub edge parts, has a widening projecting towards the tub trough. Depending on the design, this widening can be designed as a so-called dashboard bench, as a storage surface or as a seat.

In an embodiment of the invention it is further provided that the tub trough is bulged with a side wall against the short of the two parallel tub edge parts and that both longitudinal side walls of the tub trough run out into the corner area formed by the front tub rim part and longer of the two parallel tub edge parts and a curve formed as an inclined backrest form. In the case of a bathtub designed symmetrically to the transverse axis, there is thus the possibility of a double-seat arrangement which allows a comfortable sitting position even for two people, which was not previously possible with tubs of this size. It is useful here if the curvature designed as a backrest runs symmetrically to the bisector of the angle between the longer of the two parallel tub edge parts and the front tub edge part running at an acute angle to this.

Die beiden stirnseitigen Wannenrandteile 6 und 7 laufen bei dem dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel in einen spitzwinkligen Endabschluß 9 am längeren Wannenrandteil 4 aus.1 shows a top view of a bathtub with a tub trough 1, the two longitudinal side walls 2, 3 of which run into parallel tub edge parts 4, 5. The two parallel trough edge parts 4 and 5 are of different lengths and, together with the end-side trough edge parts 6 and 7 running at an angle differing from 90 °, form an outer contour of the trough edge parts, which has an approximately trapezoidal shape. The two end parts of the tub edge run here at an angle of 90 ° to one another, so that the trough shape is mirror-symmetrical to the transverse axis 8 running perpendicular to the parallel trough edge parts 4 and 5. The two end tub edge parts 6 and 7 in the illustrated embodiment end in an acute-angled end closure 9 on the longer tub edge part 4.

The approximately oval tub trough 1 is bulged against the shorter of the two parallel tub edge parts, so that the tub edge largely fills the basic shape specified by the tub edge parts. The corner regions of the tub troughs 1 between the longer tub edge part 4 and the two adjacent front tub edge parts 6 and 7 end here in a curve 10 designed as a backrest. The curvature 10 is here inclined at an angle between 30 ° and 40 ° with respect to the vertical, while the other walls of the tub trough 1 are inclined at an angle of approximately 5 ° with respect to the vertical. The curves 10 designed as backrests here run symmetrically to the bisector between the tub edge part 4 and the respectively associated front tub edge part 6 or 7. On the parallel tub edge part 4, a widening 11 projecting against the tub trough 1 is provided, which is dimensioned in the exemplary embodiment shown in such a way that that it can be designed as a dashboard or as a shelf. This also applies to the acute-angled end terminations 9, which can also be designed as a storage surface or as a valve bank. The fitting for the tub overflow is expediently to be attached to the projection 11, so that the opening 12 for the tub drain must accordingly be arranged in the vicinity of the widening 11, the tub bottom then having to have a corresponding slope with respect to the opening 12. The tub edge parts 4, 5, 6 and 7 can, however, be designed so wide that the required bath fittings can be attached at any point.

The modified embodiment shown in FIG. 2 corresponds essentially to the embodiment according to. Fig. 1, so that reference can be made to the description of Fig. 1. The difference of the embodiment acc. Fig. 2 consists only in that the widening 11 projecting into the tub trough 1 of the tub edge part is formed by the short tub edge part 5. In this exemplary embodiment, the opening 12 for the tub drain is accordingly arranged in the vicinity of the widening 11.

Fig. 3 unterscheidet sich zur Ausführungsform gem. Fig. 1 entfallen. In Fig. 3 a modification of the embodiment is gem. Fig. 1 shown in the basic structure of the embodiment according. Fig. 1 corresponds, so that here the same reference numerals are used for the same components and can accordingly be made to the explanation of FIG. 1. The embodiment acc. Fig. 3 differs according to the embodiment. Fig. 1 in that the acute-angled end terminations 9 of the embodiment according. Fig. 1 is omitted. The tub edge is designed so that the two front tub edge parts are each subdivided by a longer tub edge part 6.1 and 7.1 starting from the short tub edge part 5 and a short tub edge part 6.2 and 7.2 starting from the long tub edge part 4, the long tub edge parts 6.1 and 7.1 each with the short tub edge parts 6.2 and 7.2 enclose an angle α of 90 °.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 3 again has a widening 11 in the region of the long tub edge part 4. In the same way, however, it is also possible for this embodiment the design shown in FIG. 2 with a widening 11 in the region of the short tub edge part 5. The corner areas between long The tub rim part 4 and the respectively associated front tub rim parts 6 and 7 are again designed as a backrest 10, the curvature of which is symmetrical to the bisector between the tub rim part 6.1 and 7.1 and the long tub edge part 4.

Fig. 4 zeigt eine Abwandlung der Ausführungsform gem. Fig. 4 shows a modification of the embodiment according to. Fig. 3, which consists in the fact that on the short tub edge part 5 is provided in the tip 13 formed by the extensions of the tub edge parts 6.1 and 7.1 end termination 14. This end closure 14, which can also be designed as a storage or seating surface, can be designed in the case of tubs made of plastic materials in such a way that it can be separated. The trapezoidal embodiment according to. 1 and 2 can be provided with a corresponding end closure 14.

5 and 6 each show the examples a) and b) the installation in a limited space, for example a wet room 15 with the most unfavorable arrangement of a door 16. Both types of installation show that the trapezoidal shape of the tub contour is possible to bring the door close to the tub and thus maximize the use of the smallest possible wet cell space. Here it is only accepted that the opening width of the door is restricted.

The forms of installation according to Fug. 5 and 6 c), d), g) and Fig. 6 i) show different options for using a corner of the room.

The forms of installation according to 5 and 6 e) and f) each show arrangements on a longitudinal wall of the building, with, for example, the installation acc. 5 f) offers the possibility of providing the short tub edge part 5 with a splash guard wall 17, so that only the tub edge parts 6 and 7 offer an access option, which can then be completed in the floor area with a corresponding tiling 18. This can also be the case with the installation example according to Fig. 5 g) are provided so that the tub is completed in a corner of the room via a splash guard 17.

In the installation examples acc. Fig. 5 b), e), g) and 6 e), i) each of the tiling 18 shown can also be placed high, so that it runs in the plane of the subsequent upper tub edge.

The installation examples acc. 5 h) and 6 h) show an arrangement in connection with a shower partition, the fixed wall parts 19 of the shower partition running along the tub edge parts 6 and 7, while the door 20 runs in each case on the short tub edge part 5.

Fig. 1 sowie für die Wannenform gem. Fig. 3 in Kombination mit Duschtassen dargestellt. Die Aufstellungsbeispiele a), b), c) zeigen die Ausführungsform gem. Fig. 1 in Kombination mit einer dreieckigen Duschtasse 21. Fig. 4 entspricht. Fig. 2 in Kombination mit einer dreieckigen Duschtasse 21.In Fig. 7 is a series of installation examples for the tub shape acc. Fig. 1 as well as for the tub shape. Fig. 3 shown in combination with shower trays. The setup examples a), b), c) show the embodiment acc. Fig. 1 in combination with a triangular shower tray 21. The installation examples d), e) and f) show the embodiment according to. Fig. 3 in combination with a shower tray 22, which in accordance with the outline of the tub embodiment. Fig. 4 corresponds. The installation example g) then shows a combination of the embodiment of a tub acc. 2 in combination with a triangular shower tray 21.
