To use large-volume, comfortable bathtubs even in difficult space conditions, according to the invention a bath tub shape is proposed, in which, setting out from two parallel bathtub edge parts (4, 5), the respective end-side bathtub edge parts (6, 7) are arranged in such a way that the outer contour of the bathtub edge parts has an approximately trapezoidal course.
