Abstract

In order to be able to install large-volume bathtubs with the least possible space requirement, it has previously only been known to use so-called corner bathtubs which have a quarter-circle contour and could only be installed in a corner of the room. To use large-volume, comfortable bathtubs even in difficult space conditions, according to the invention a bath tub shape is proposed, in which, setting out from two parallel bathtub edge parts (4, 5), the respective end-side bathtub edge parts (6, 7) are arranged in such a way that the outer contour of the bathtub edge parts has an approximately trapezoidal course. Description

Derartige Eckbadewannen sind zwar raumsparend, setzen jedoch entsprechende Raumanordnungen voraus, d. h. die Zuordnung von Türen, Fenstern, Schränken, Wandvorsprüngen, wie sie durch Kamine vorgegeben sind,etc., müssen so geartet sein, daß in jedem Fall eine Raumecke zur Aufstellung der Wanne zur Verfügung steht und gleichzeitig die Bewegungsfreiheit im Raum nicht beeinträchtigt wird. Bei Neubauten kann dies vielfach von vorne herein berücksichtigt werden. Anders ist es jedoch bei Wohnungssanierungen, insbesondere bei der Sanierung von älteren Wohnungen, die nicht über allzu große Badezimmer verfügen, so daß in der Regel die Aufstellung einer großvolumigen und komfortablen Badewanne nicht möglich ist.Basins of this design with an essentially rectangular or oval contour of the edge of the tub are generally known. Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Erfindung durch eine Badewanne der eingangs bezeichneten Art gelöst, die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß die beiden parallelen Wannenrandteile unterschiedlich lang sind und wenigstens einer der stirnseitigen Wannenrandteile unter einem Winkel hierzu verläuft, so daß die Außenkontur der Wannenrandteile einen in etwa trapezförmigen Verlauf aufweist. Eine Badewanne mit einer derartigen Randkontur kann in vielfältiger Weise in einem Raum aufgestellt werden. Wird die Badewanne längs einer Raumwand aufgestellt, dann bietet sich die Möglichkeit, daß sowohl der längere als auch der kürzere der beiden parallelen Wannenrandteile an der Wand anliegt. Da wenigstens eine der zugehörigen stirnseitigen Wannenrandteile schräg zu den parallelen Wannenrandteilen verläuft, ergibt sich somit die Möglichkeit, eine etwa vorhandene Türöffnung mit der Wanne zu überschneiden und gleichzeitig eine, wenn auch eingeengte, Öffnungsmöglichkeit für eine bereits vorhandene Tür zu ermöglichen. In einer bevorzugten Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist hierbei vorgesehen, daß die Wannenform spiegelsymmetrisch zu einer senkrecht zu den beiden parallelen Wannenrandteilen verlaufenden Querachse ausgebildet ist. Die beiden parallelen Wannenrandteile 4 und 5 sind unterschiedlich lang und bilden zusammen mit den unter einem von 90° abweichenden Winkel hierzu verlaufenden stirnseitigen Wannenrandteilen 6 und 7 eine Außenkontur der Wannenrandteile, die einen in etwa trapezförmigen Verlauf aufweist. Die als Rückenlehnen ausgebildeten Rundungen 10 verlaufen hierbei symmetrisch zur Winkelhalbierenden zwischen dem Wannenrandteil 4 und dem jeweils zugehörigen stirnseitigen Wannenrandteil 6 bzw. 7.
