Description

The invention relates to an antenna socket holder, via which a connection between electronic components arranged in an HF chamber and further elements arranged outside the chamber, for example an antenna, is realized.

It is known that, in particular in radio technology, the signals received via an antenna are passed on to electronic components, for example resonant circuits, and these elements used for signal processing have to be protected from any further external influences by high-frequency electromagnetic waves.

For this purpose, these components are arranged in RF-tight housings, the so-called RF chambers. The connection between the antenna and the circuit in the chamber takes place via an antenna socket, which is connected on the one hand to the signal processing or providing components and on the other hand enables the connection of an antenna. Coaxial sockets are usually used here, which are fitted and screwed into through holes provided in the HF chamber and then soldered or plugged onto the HF connection.

This solution is particularly disadvantageous because, in addition to the high installation effort, the difficulties associated with screw mounting have to be accepted and an absolute HF seal is not achieved.

The invention has for its object to provide an antenna socket holder of the generic type that allows easy assembly and improved RF seal.

According to the invention the object is solved by the characterizing part of the main claim.
It has been found that if the HF chamber consists of two matching housing parts, recesses can be provided in the housing wall in the area of the parting plane, which ensure a firmly fixed fit of a coaxial socket and which additionally use an effective HF seal allow.
The further embodiment of the invention results from the subclaims.

The solution according to the invention offers the advantage of saving tool and assembly costs through the use of prefabricated injection molded parts and the omission of subsequent machining to create the through hole. Another advantage is that the connection, for example by soldering, between the coaxial socket and the printed circuit board can take place before the final assembly, since these can be inserted into the lower housing part in a simple manner.

The invention will be explained in more detail in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawing, which schematically shows the arrangement according to the invention in a side section.
The figure shows that the HF chamber 1 consists of a lower housing part 2 and an upper housing part 3. The parting plane 4 between the lower housing part 2 and the upper housing part 3 runs directly axially parallel with the longitudinal axis 5 of a coaxial socket 6.
In the passage area of the coaxial socket 6, the upper housing part 3 has a recess 7 and two pin-like projections 8, which form a recess 9. The length of the projections 8 and thus the depth of the recess 9 depends on the diameter of the coaxial socket 6 and is slightly more than half the diameter, so that there is a space 12 between the outer circumference 10 of the coaxial socket 6 and the surface 11 of the upper housing part 3 . The lower housing part 2 likewise has a cutout 13 in the passage area of the coaxial bushing 6 and furthermore a nose-shaped projection 14 which corresponds to the opening formed by the projections 8. The projection 14 is also higher than half the diameter of the coaxial bushing 6, so that here too there is an intermediate space which corresponds to the intermediate space 12. The shielding HF seal 15, for example in the form of transverse grooves, is provided in this intermediate space 12.
The recesses 7 and 13 form a receptacle for a flange 16 provided on the coaxial socket 6, which is used for the precise location and rotation of the coaxial socket 6.

The assembly is carried out in a simple manner that the preassembled printed circuit board 17 with the coaxial socket 6 already attached to it is inserted into the lower housing part 2 with an exact fit, and a locking takes place by fitting the upper housing part 3. The housing parts 2 and 3 can be connected by suitable connecting elements, e.g. Screws, tension rings, snap locks or the like can be connected.
