Description

The invention relates to a device for filling and / or emptying containers for the transport or storage of, in particular, caustic, toxic or other environmentally hazardous liquids, in which a container neck part with a riser pipe is mounted on the container, the tube interior with a filling / emptying connection and the pipe outer space in the container can be connected to a conveying gas connection.

It is known to empty liquid-filled containers with a conveying gas. For this purpose, a container neck part is provided which has a generally central riser pipe. The conveying gas is directed onto the liquid surface outside the riser pipe, that is to say in the pipe outer space of the container, and, in the event of an increase in pressure, ensures that the liquid flows away through the riser pipe, to which a tap can be connected. If necessary, the container can also be filled via such a device.

The known devices of this type require careful handling so that the operators do not come into contact with any liquid adhering to the valve or inhale the corresponding liquid vapors.

The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that handling when filling and emptying the container is possible with reduced risk.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a device of the type mentioned at the outset in that a connection part can be mounted on the container neck part in at least two operating positions by a relative movement of the connection part to the container neck part, that the connection part has the conveying gas connection and the filling / emptying connection that in a first operating position, the connection between the pipe interior and the filling / emptying connection is blocked by a valve and a flushing chamber sealed from the environment is formed between the connecting part and the container connecting piece, through which conveying gas can flow from the conveying gas connection to an outlet in the connecting part, and that through the movement of the connecting part relative to the container neck part in a second operating position, the valve is opened and at least one seal divides the washing chamber in such a way that the conveying gas connection only with the pipe outer space and the filling / E Connection is only connected to the interior of the pipe.

The at least two-part construction of the device according to the invention allows two operating positions to be realized, a washing chamber being formed in the first operating position, which allows the removal area to be flushed with the conveying gas before (re) use and any liquid adhering to it removed in the process. In the second operating position, the device then carries out the known conveying process, in that the conveying gas is pressed into the tube outer space and the tube outer space is sealed off from the tube interior and the removal area communicating therewith. The first operating position is of particular importance not only when the valve is put into operation but also when it is taken out of operation, since the flushing ensures that no more liquid adheres to the area of the container neck part which accessible after removing the connector.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, when the connection part moves relative to the container neck part, there is an intermediate position as the third operating position, in which the valve is already open, but there is a gas space connection between the pipe interior and the pipe exterior. This makes it possible to flush through the open valve. Since the gas space connection between the pipe interior and the pipe exterior still exists, there is still no delivery of the liquid despite the opening of the valve. If appropriate, this embodiment can also be used to compensate for pressure between the washing compartment and the interior of the container. The connection between the tube interior and the tube exterior can already be ensured in the third operating position in that the washing compartment is not yet divided by the at least one seal, so that the connection between the tube interior and the tube exterior is made directly or indirectly through the washing compartment.

It may be expedient to connect a separate gas discharge connection in the connection part to the wash cabinet, the connection to the wash cabinet in the second operating position being interrupted by a seal. This makes it possible to remove the conveying gas used for purging from the valve separately from the filling / emptying connection.

The valve producing or interrupting the connection between the pipe interior and the filling / emptying connection is expediently arranged directly adjacent to the washing compartment. This makes it possible to flush the outer surface of the valve with the conveying gas and to remove any adhering liquid, because the liquid does not accumulate in a recess that cannot be reached by the flushing gas.

In an expedient embodiment, the valve can consist of a bearing against a valve seat under elastic prestress Valve plate can be formed, a stop pushing the valve plate away from the valve seat against the elastic prestress during the relative movement between the connecting part and the container neck part from the first into the second operating position, so that this causes the valve to open. This constructive design allows a direct conversion of an axial relative movement, as is realized when the connection part is screwed onto the container neck part or when it is put on with a bayonet lock, into the opening movement of the valve.

The valve can be arranged both in the container neck part and in the connection part. The arrangement of the valve in the container neck part has the advantage that the container is closed by the valve arranged in the container neck part even when the connection part has been removed. In a structurally preferred embodiment, the valve seat is formed on a sleeve-shaped part, the upper side of which rests with a seal lying radially outside the seal dividing the washing compartment in the first operating position with an elastic pretension against a firm seat of the container neck part. The sleeve-shaped part likewise forms a type of valve, wherein an annular space which is connected to the tube outer space can preferably be formed outside the sleeve-shaped part.

In order to avoid a randomly occurring delivery pressure in the container, it can be expedient that a lockable connection is provided between the tube interior and the tube exterior on the container side of the valve. This connection is formed in a structurally expedient embodiment below the sleeve-shaped part. A sealing surface can then be arranged on the underside of the sleeve-shaped part, which in the second operating position closes the connection between the outer tube space and the inner tube space with a corresponding, fixed sealing surface of the container neck part, so that the short circuit between the outer tube space and the inner tube space is canceled and the Funding condition is met.

Befüllungs-Betriebsstellung (2. Betriebsstellung) sind dann beide Ventile geöffnet. For certain applications, it may be appropriate to arrange a further valve in the connection part in addition to the valve in the container neck part. This makes it possible to carry out any pressure equalization between the rinsing space and the interior of the container independently of the filling / emptying connection with the conveying gas connection and the separate gas discharge connection. For this purpose, the valve in the container connection part is already open in an intermediate position as the third operating position, while the valve in the connection part is still closed. Both valves are then open in the emptying or filling operating position (2nd operating position).

In a structurally preferred embodiment, the fixed valve in the container neck part is provided with a valve disk pressed against a valve seat. The additional valve in the connecting part is also formed by a valve plate resting on the valve seat with elastic preload, the stop being arranged between the two valve plates and the elastic preloading of the valve in the container neck part being less than that of the valve in the connecting part, the stop thus is designed that in the second operating position both valves, in the third operating position only the valve in the container neck part is open.

The valve can also be arranged exclusively in the connecting part. In this case, the gas space of the container is also detected by the rinsing space. Since the valve is closed in the idle state and blocks the connection to the filling / emptying connection, in the first operating position there is a flushing path from the conveying gas connection through the flushing chamber to the separate gas discharge connection. In the third operating position, that is to say in the intermediate position, a connection to the filling / emptying connection is created through the open valve while maintaining the flushing path. In this position, the area up to the fill / drain connection and any connected to it Line flushed with.

Weitere Dichtungen 15, 16, 17, die an dem Behälterstutzenteil 2 und an dem Anschlußteil 3 angeordnet sind, dichten den Spülraum 13 zur Umgebung und zum Gasableitungsabschluß 8 ab.FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the device according to the invention, which is mounted on a container 1 for the transport or storage of liquids. A connector part 3 is plugged onto a container neck part 2 and screwed to the container neck part 2 with a union nut 4, which is secured by a locking ring 5. In the embodiment shown, the connection part 3 has a conveying gas connection 6, a filling / emptying connection 7 and a gas discharge connection 8. In the connection part 3, a removal area is formed, in the lower end of which a pierced insertion part 10 is arranged. On this plug-in part 10 there is a seal 11 and a stop 12, the seal 11 in the illustrated operating position (2nd operating position) sealing a washing space 13 formed between the connection part 3 and the container neck part 2 from the removal area 9 and the stop 12 on in the container neck part 2 arranged valve 14 presses. Further seals 15, 16, 17, which are arranged on the container neck part 2 and on the connection part 3, seal the washing chamber 13 from the environment and from the gas discharge end 8.

The valve 14 consists of a valve plate 14 'with a beveled, forming a sealing surface edge, an elongated cylindrical shaft 14' ', which serves to guide the valve 14 and an axial bore 14 a in the lower end of the shaft 14' 'and one has radial bore 14 b approximately in the middle of the shaft 14 ''.

In the container neck part 2, the valve 14 is in a sleeve-shaped part 18 forming a valve seat 18 ', which also is designed as a kind of valve. In the operating position shown, both the valve 14 and the sleeve-shaped part 18 are depressed against an elastic pretension caused by spiral springs 19, 20 by the plug-in part 10 or the stop 12 and are thus opened. The sleeve-shaped part 18 is surrounded by an annular space 21 which, in this operating position, connects the washing space 13 to an outer tube space 22. A riser pipe 23 with an inner annular space 21 ′ which is connected to the emptying area and to the annular space 21 is closed at the lower end of the container neck part by a seal 24 arranged in a region of the container neck part 2, which forms a stop for the sleeve-shaped part 18 2 arranged.

The inner annular space 21 'is connected to the tube interior 25 via the radial bore 14 b and the axial bore 14 a in the shaft 14' 'of the valve 14.

The embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in FIG. 1 in a second operating position, in which a conveying gas enters the washing chamber 13 through the conveying gas connection 6. This rinsing space 13 is connected to the outer tube space 22 via the annular space 21. A liquid contained in the container 1 is then conveyed through the pipe interior 25 and the emptying area 9 to the filling / emptying connection 7, provided the pressure of the conveying gas is sufficient.

Das Ventil 26 entspricht in seiner konstruktiven Ausführung dem bereits beschriebenen Ventil 14.Figures 2 to 4 show a further advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention, in which only the connecting part 3 has a valve 26. The design of valve 26 corresponds to valve 14 already described.

Eine Dichtung 28 ist in dem Bereich des Anschlußteils 3 angeordnet, der den Ventilsitz 26' bildet und verschließt zusammen mit dem Ventil 26 den Entnahmebereich 9.FIG. 2 shows this embodiment in a first operating position, in which the connecting part 3 is mounted on the tank neck part 2 in such a way that the washing chamber 13 is only through the seal 15 arranged at the upper end of the tank neck part 2 is sealed off from the environment. In this embodiment as well, the connecting part 3 has a conveying gas connection 6, a filling / emptying connection 7 and a gas discharge connection 8. The removal area 9 of the connecting part 3 tapers in its lower area and forms a fixed valve seat 26 'for the valve 26. This valve 26 has a valve plate which is bevelled on the sides and which in the operating position shown is biased by a coil spring 27 and is pressed against the valve seat 26 '. A seal 28 is arranged in the area of the connecting part 3, which forms the valve seat 26 'and closes the removal area 9 together with the valve 26.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, an insert part 29 with a stop 30 is arranged in the container neck part 2. A seal 31 is located on the upper end of the plug-in part 29 protruding from the container neck part 2. In FIG. 2, the tube interior 25 of the riser pipe 23 is connected via the plug-in part 29 to the washing chamber 13, which in turn also has a bore 31 in the container neck part 2 the pipe outer space 22 is connected. In this operating position, the washing chamber 13 and the upper region of the container neck part 2 can be flushed with the conveying gas and volatile impurities or liquid residues can be expelled from the gas discharge connection with the conveying gas.

Dadurch ist sichergestellt, daß eine versehentliche Betätigung des Ventils 26 bei abgenommenem Anschlußteil 3 nicht die Gefahr eines unerwünschten Flüssigkeitskontakts birgt.FIG. 3 shows an operating position of the device according to the invention, in which the connection part 3 has been moved in the direction of the container neck part 2 by actuating the union nut 4. The stop 30 of the insert part 29 presses on the valve plate of the valve 26 and opens it slightly without dividing the washing compartment 13 by a seal. Since the tube interior 25 is also connected to the tube exterior 22 via the washing space 13 in this operating position, no liquid is conveyed. This intermediate position is used in particular to allow liquid residues to drain out of the removal area 9 before the connecting part 3 during disassembly is released from the container neck part 2. This ensures that an inadvertent actuation of the valve 26 with the connector 3 removed does not involve the risk of undesired liquid contact.

By tightening the union nut 4, the connection part 3 was moved completely onto the container neck part 2. As a result, the valve 26 is completely opened by the stop 30 of the insertion part 29 against the pressure of the coil spring 27. In this operating position, the washing compartment 13 is sealed off from the surroundings by the seals 15 and 16 arranged on the container neck part 2 and on the connecting part 3 and by means of the seal 17 arranged on the connecting part 3 to the gas discharge connection 8. The seal 31 separates the tube interior 25 from the tube outer space 22, whereby the conveying condition is fulfilled so that the conveying gas can be pressed into the tube outer space 22 and liquid contained in the container 1 through the tube interior 25 and the removal area 9 to the filling / emptying connection 7 promotes.

Figures 5 to 7 show three operating positions of a further embodiment of the device according to the invention, in which a valve 14 is arranged only in the container neck part 2. This embodiment corresponds to that shown in FIG. 1.

Der Rohraußenraum 22 des Behälters 1 steht über den Ringraum 21 mit dem Rohrinnenraum 25 in Verbindung, so daß auch bei versehentlichem Betätigen des Ventils 14 bei abgenommenem Anschlußteil 3 keine Flüssigkeit durch einen etwaigen Überdruck aus dem Behälter 1 heraustreten kann.FIG. 5 shows how the connection part 3 with the union nut 4 is mounted on the tank neck part 2 in such a way that the washing chamber 13 is formed between the connection part 3 and the tank neck part 2. The valve 14 is closed in this first operating position, as is the sleeve-shaped part 18, which is also designed as a type of valve. The seal 34 arranged on the valve seat 18 'and the seal 35 arranged on the chamfered upper end of the sleeve-shaped part 18 ensure that the container 1 faces the washing compartment 13 is tightly closed. The tube outer space 22 of the container 1 communicates with the tube interior 25 via the annular space 21, so that even if the valve 14 is inadvertently actuated when the connecting part 3 is removed, no liquid can escape from the container 1 due to any excess pressure.

In the embodiment shown, the connection part 3 also has the gas discharge connection 8 in addition to the conveying gas connection 6 and the filling / emptying connection. In this constructive embodiment of the device according to the invention, the removal area 9 is also flushed during the flushing process, provided the filling / emptying connection 7 and the gas discharge connection 8 are open. This is advantageous since, in particular when the device is taken out of operation, liquid residues are removed from the removal area 9 and in this way an undesired liquid contact is also avoided in this embodiment.

In der dargestellten Betriebsstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung kann es somit auch nicht zu einem versehentlichen Austritt von Flüssigkeit aus dem Behälter 1 kommen, was die Sicherheit bei der Benutzung der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung erhöht.FIG. 6 shows the described embodiment in a third operating position, in which the valve 14 arranged in the container neck part 2 is opened by the stop 12 of the plug-in part 10 against the pressure of the spiral spring 20 in order to equalize the pressure. Since the sleeve-shaped part 18, which is also designed as a type of valve, is not depressed in this third operating position, the tube outer space 22 is also connected to the tube interior 25 via the annular space 21 here. This ensures that a liquid contained in the container 1 is not pressed out of the container 1 by an overpressure in this operating position. Furthermore, in this operating position, the liquid vapor escaping from the container 1 is transported out with the conveying gas flow to the gas discharge connection 8. In the illustrated operating position of the device according to the invention, there can thus be no accidental leakage of liquid from the container 1, which increases the safety when using the device according to the invention.

The second operating position of this embodiment shown in FIG. 7 corresponds to the illustration in FIG. 1. By completely tightening the union nut 4, the connecting part 3 is moved completely onto the container neck part 2. As a result, the stop 12 of the plug-in part 10 presses the valve 14 downward against the elastic bias caused by the spiral spring 20. The arranged at the edge of the plug-in part 10 seal 11 presses on the sleeve-shaped part 18 and separates the washing compartment 13 from the removal area 9. At the same time, the sleeve-shaped part 18 is pushed by the plug-in part 10 against one in a region of the container neck part 2, which is a stop for the sleeve-shaped part 18 forms, arranged seal 36 pressed so that the connection between the tube interior 22 and tube outer space 25 is interrupted.

Further features of this embodiment of the device according to the invention which are important for this operating position have already been described with reference to FIG. 1.

Die Figuren 8 bis 10 zeigen eine dritte Ausführungsform der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung, bei der sowohl in dem Behälterstutzenteil 2 als auch in dem Anschlußteil 3 jeweils ein Ventil 14, 26 angeordnet ist, in verschiedenen Betriebsstellungen.FIGS. 8 to 10 show a third embodiment of the device according to the invention, in which a valve 14, 26 is arranged both in the container neck part 2 and in the connection part 3, in different operating positions.

In the operating position of the device according to the invention shown in FIG. 8, the connection part 3 is mounted on the container neck part 2 by means of the union nut 4 in such a way that the washing chamber 13, which is sealed off from the environment by the seal 15, is formed. The valves 14 and 26 close both the container 1 and the removal area 9. Except for the fact that a stop 37 is formed on the valve plate of the valve 14, the container neck part corresponds completely in construction and function to that described in FIGS. 5 to 7 Container neck part. The valve 26, which closes the removal area 9 of the connection part 3 in the operating position shown, also has a stop 38 on its valve plate. The end of the connecting part 3 forming the valve seat is in This embodiment is designed as an elevated edge 39, on which an annular seal 40 is arranged.

The first operating position shown in FIG. 8 corresponds to the first operating positions shown in FIGS. 2 and 5. In contrast to the embodiments shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, in the embodiment in FIG. 8, during the flushing process, only the flushing space 13 formed by the connecting part 3 and the container neck part 2 is flowed through by the conveying gas, as a result of which any liquid residues adhering, in particular when decommissioning the Device to be driven to the gas discharge port 8.

Voraussetzung hierfür ist jedoch, daß die elastische Vorspannung der in dem Anschlußteil 3 angeordneten Spiralfeder 27 größer ist als die der in dem Behälterstutzenteil 2 angeordneten Spiralfeder 20.FIG. 9 shows a third operating position of the aforementioned embodiment, in which the valve 14 is slightly opened to equalize the pressure between the container interior and the conveying gas pressure. This position is set by actuating the union nut 4, by means of which the connecting part 3 is moved further in the direction of the container neck part 2. The stop 38 on the valve 26 presses the stop 37 of the valve 14 and opens it against the bias of the coil spring 20. A prerequisite for this, however, is that the elastic bias of the coil spring 27 arranged in the connecting part 3 is greater than that in the Container neck part 2 arranged coil spring 20th

As described in the explanations for FIG. 6, the tube outer space 22 is also connected to the tube interior 25 via the annular space 21 in the operating position shown in FIG. 9, so that even in this embodiment of the device according to the invention an unwanted liquid leakage from the container 1 because of a possible Overpressure is not possible.

The union nut 4 is fully tightened and the connecting part 3 moves so far in the direction of the container neck part 2 that the valves 14 and 26 are open and the washing chamber 13 is closed by the seals 15 and 16 to the environment and by the seal 17 to the gas discharge connection 8. The seal 40 arranged on the raised edge 39 of the connecting part 3 separates the washing space 13 from the tube interior 25 or the removal area 9. At the same time, the sleeve-shaped part 18 is pressed against the tension of the spiral spring 19 to such an extent that the sleeve-shaped part 18 on the seal 36 presses and separates the annular space 21 from the tube interior 25. As a result, even in this operating position of this embodiment, the conveying condition, ie the separation of the tube outer space 22 and tube interior 25 while simultaneously connecting the tube interior 25 with the removal area 9 and the tube outer space 22 with the washing space 13, is realized.
