Definitions

  • the invention relates to handling boxes, such as in particular "clod” tanks, of generally parallelepiped shape with substantially rectangular section, stackable and nestable, of the type with substantially vertical support pillars.
  • the handling box to which the invention relates has side walls, at least some of which include substantially vertical "I" pillars projecting from these walls in the lower part of the box, the upper edge of these walls being capable of receiving said pillars bearing in an identically oriented relative position of two such superimposed identical boxes, and of accommodating these pillars in open housings in said walls in the upper part of the box, this in a inversely oriented relative position of two such boxes superimposed on each other, thus ensuring the stacking in abutment on one another of said identically oriented boxes and the interlocking of approximately 50% of the boxes one inside the other for successively inversely oriented positions of the boxes stacked.
  • side walls at least some of which include substantially vertical "I" pillars projecting from these walls in the lower part of the box, the upper edge of these walls being capable of receiving said pillars bearing in an identically oriented relative position of two such superimposed identical boxes, and of accommodating these pillars in open housings in said walls in the upper part of the box, this in a
  • Document BE-A-681274 further describes a handling container according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention relates to improvements to this type of boxes making them compatible with boxes or bins of the same dimensions but simply stackable, while facilitating and locking them, both in the nesting position and in the position stacking, two identical superimposed boxes according to the invention.
  • the upper rim of the box of the invention will also advantageously have a projecting area formed along the length and in the central part of the above-mentioned walls, the spacing between the notches or between the ribs formed on said walls being substantially equal to, or slightly greater than, the length of said projecting area,
  • both a longitudinal and transverse blocking can be ensured between the stackable / nestable box of the invention and the already existing boxes or bins, only stackable.
  • the box will preferably have, at about 50% of its height, a perimeter edge which is substantially horizontal, continuous, suitable for receiving an upper box inversely oriented on it.
  • the box of the invention is very particularly usable as a "clod" tank, that is to say as a tank allowing young shoots to develop, it may be preferable provide large openings, in particular at the top of the long sides of the body.
  • the walls devoid of the aforementioned notches and ribs to be open from and above their perimeter rim, so as to present there only primers of walls forming angles with the walls which are adjacent to them at the corners of the body, these primers of walls being substantially interrupted at the level of the pillars.
  • the box is of generally rectangular shape with a rectangular section and has a bottom 1 from which two opposite long side walls of great length 3, 5 stand vertically and two equally opposite side walls of short length 7 and 9.
  • two projecting pillars are formed, respectively 11a, 11b for the large wall 3 and 11c, 11d for the large opposite wall 5.
  • one of the pillars (11b or 11c) is formed away from the corresponding angle of the body, while its counterpart on the same wall (11a or 11d) is located in the immediate vicinity of the 'opposite corner.
  • the pillars 11b, 11c separated from the corners correspond to housings or cavities, substantially of the same width, 13b, 13c. These vertical cavities are formed, with an offset corresponding to the thickness of the pillars, this in the immediate vicinity of the same angles of the body, and in the upper part of the latter, in the inner face of the corresponding walls 3 and 5.
  • These different pillars correspond to cavities 13th and 13f respectively (wall 7) and 13g, 13h (wall 9). Like the previous ones, these cavities are offset relative to the pillars respectively near and more away from the corresponding angles of the body.
  • FIG. 3 two identical boxes have been illustrated in superimposed nesting position. In this position, the boxes are turned 180 ° relative to each other around their common vertical axis 17, the pillars assigned the premium index for the upper box thus being housed in the corresponding cavities of the box. lower, thus allowing the formation of a stack of superimposed lockers with interlocking of the boxes at about 50% one inside the other.
  • each box has at about half height (h / 2).
  • FIG. 3 provides a better understanding of the possible absence of cavity on certain parts of the large walls 3 and 5.
  • the walls 3 and 5 then have above their rim 19 only wall primers, respectively 3a, 3b (Figure 1) and 5a, 5b ( Figure 2) so as to constitute angles with the walls 7 and 9 which are adjacent to them at the angles considered of the body.
  • these wall primers are substantially interrupted in line with the pillars, thus leaving a void in correspondence with the pillars 11a and 11d, void occupied by the pillars 11′b and 11′c respectively of the box upper ( Figure 3).
  • the transverse walls 7 and 9 may advantageously be provided in the central part with a long tongue of material forming a projecting zone 21, 23 ensuring the longitudinal holding of boxes stacked by cooperation of one of these projecting stops with the central lower part 7a, 9a respectively of the walls of short sides of an upper body.
  • these lower parts 7a, 9a of walls will be located externally under the rim 19 and bounded laterally on one side by the vertical pillars 11e, 11f and, on the other, by two narrow vertical ribs 25 and 27 (wall 9 , Figure 1) extending between the pillars 11g, 11h.
  • the spacing e between the ribs 25, 27 on the one hand and the vertical pillars 11e, 11f on the other hand will be substantially equal to or slightly greater than the length l protruding zones of complementary stop 21, 23.
  • vertical notches 29, 31 will advantageously be formed in the upper inner part of the opposite wall 7, so that these notches can receive the blocking ribs in the inversely oriented position of the stacked boxes.
  • openings 31 ′, 33 for example three in number on each side, separated by reinforcing columns 35, so as to thus constitute zones favorable for gripping the boxes, without weakening the mechanical qualities of the latter.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 it can be seen that the stackable-nestable box 10 illustrated is entirely compatible with the clod tanks existing between two of which the box 10 is here interposed.
  • these pillars 11e, 11f laterally block the box, by cooperating with the longitudinal projection 21a of the lower conventional tray 20, while in the upper part, the same projecting zone 21 of the box 10 comes itself cooperate laterally in blocking with the return of the large pillars of angles 32 and 34 of the upper tank 30 (which is of course identical to the lower tank 20).
  • the box of the invention could comprise vertical "I" pillars only on its sides provided with ribs 25, 27 and complementary locking notches, and thus be devoid of pillars with large sides (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d).
