Abstract

The cooking hob has an at least partially transparent carrier consisting of glass or glass-ceramic, with heating elements arranged underneath it. Provided on the periphery of the heating element is an optical conductor (which surrounds the heating element) of a lighting device, for visual indication of the heated area and/or for indicating residual heat.
