Abstract

The apparatus permits the forwarding of the product units by means of a pair of conveyor belts (1 and 2) which bring the said units onto a pair of take-off discs (5). The product units arrive in the pairs of lines of thin strips (6) and are retained in their slots (7) which permit their uniformly distributed and partially superposed arrangement. Used in this manner, the product units arrive, moving forward towards the expulsion bars (8) which enable them to be expelled from the retaining slots (7) and for them to be stored on a stationary reception and discharge plane (9) vertically in line with the take-off discs (5). Provided at the centre is a separating wheel (10) with separating blades (11) defining successive identical spaces for housing the formed packets (12) for inserting into the packing machine. When the prearranged number of product units for each packet is reached, the separating wheel (10) suddenly accelerates and brings its small blade (11), from the position of alignment with the pair of blades (6), so as to be inserted between the final unit provided for the packet and the following unit in storage phase. In this manner, the packets (12) will be separated by releasing the packet at the packet reception point. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a device for accumulating and counting paper objects, such as cellulose handkerchiefs or the like, which is connected to automatic packaging machines.

Mainly, the counting and the accumulation at the unloading point are carried out continuously of the units of product which advance on a pair of discs provided with retaining slots which cooperate with separating pallets positioned inside the two discs of sampling, to allow easy sending to the packaging phase of the packages counted according to the predetermined values.

At present, in order to take the units of product from the picking discs and to carry out their arrangement in packages, according to programmable values, horizontal reception and evacuation planes are generally used which cooperate in various ways with mobile extraction bars. These are high cost systems which do not allow rapid variability in the production programs since, to predispose a diversification of operation, it is necessary to replace their parts.

Chacune de ces plaques est supportée et entraînée en mouvement par un bras correspondant, lequel, à l'extrémité opposée à celle de support de la plaque, est relié à un levier équipé d'un rouleau coulissant sur la piste d'une première et d'une deuxième came sous la commande d'un arbre moteur correspondant.DE-B-1079078 discloses a device for driving packets of paper in a machine for packaging sheets of paper in bundles, which comprises an arm rotating about a horizontal axis and provided with a plurality of pallets for receiving the sheets, which are fed by a conveyor belt so as to allow them to be deposited, in predetermined number, on corresponding profiled support plates. Each of these plates is supported and driven in movement by a corresponding arm, which, at the opposite end to that of support of the plate, is connected to a lever equipped with a roller sliding on the track of a first and d 'a second cam under the control of a corresponding motor shaft.

But with said known device, due to the positioning of each plate in correspondence of the receiving compartment of the packet of corresponding sheets, it can occur the exit of the last sheet collected before it has arrived in correspondence of the stop point respective final, due to an increase in volume due to the folds which form and due to the relatively high operating speed which causes substantial deformation of the product. As a result, it is not possible to obtain productions beyond a predetermined value. Furthermore, the different packages are not kept in the correct position on each side, but only in correspondence on one side.

Also known from patent DE-B-2461002, a device for receiving cellulose products in packages, taken by means of a wheel provided with several radial pockets to receive the products fed by a belt conveyor, in which, on the two sides of the wheel, are mounted several arms with a profiled receiving plate sheets, acting in a radial direction relative to the wheel and controlled by corresponding cam means, so as to allow the grouping of a predetermined number and the successive transfer to a wheel provided with several compartments for the reception of the packages thus formed . Said radial sliding means are mounted on the same shaft as the first wheel, but so that the respective angular speed is lower. But in this case also, the production is low, because it is not possible to excessively increase the operating speed of said arms due to the presence of the respective control cams.

D'autres caractéristiques de l'invention sont objet des revendications 2 à 8.Said technical drawbacks are resolved, in accordance with the present invention, by adopting the idea of producing a device having the characteristics described in claim 1. Other characteristics of the invention are the subject of claims 2 to 8.

According to the invention, it is possible to carry out by means of separation pallets the intervention of separation on the units of product in accumulation coming from the pair of sampling discs. These separation pallets, mounted equidistantly on a wheel, rotate at a suitable angle speed so that each pallet can be positioned between the last unit of a packet of finished product units and the next product unit. Advantageously, said pallets are rotated at constant speed until the last unit of product in a given package; and in this position, they are advantageously subjected to a chosen speed increase. The separation palette is introduced between the last unit provided for the packet formed and the first unit of the packet being formed, thereby successively determining the separation of the packet thus formed which, by means of transport chains, is expelled from the counting point. In this way, by predisposing the angular adjustments and the parameters of the means which determine the retaining slots on the sampling discs and separation pallets, it is possible to reach the device technically. In said device, by appropriately modifying the rotation ratio between the picking discs and the support wheel of the separation pallets, it is possible to form bundles of different numbers of units in order to adapt the device to specific needs of use.

1).The device can provide for the conveyance of the product units by means of a concomitant pair of conveyor belts 1 and 2 on rollers 3 and 4 which feed the said units on a pair of sampling discs 5 (as shown in FIG. 1).

In particular types of folding machines, it is not possible to apply conveyor belts for advancing units, in this case provision is made for positioning the pair of sampling discs 5 directly adjacent to the folding cylinder 14 ( as shown in Fig. 4) which keeps the product units already adherent formed up to the point of tangency of the sampling discs. After the release phase, the advancing segments will arrive directly in the retaining slots of the sampling discs. The device provides for the routing of the product units on a pair of sampling discs 5. Successively, the product units arrive in the pairs of strip lines 6 and are retained in their slots 7 which allow them to be arranged uniformly distributed and superimposed partial, a condition which makes it possible to reduce the speed of progression. Thus used, the product units arrive by advancing to the expulsion bars 8 which allow their expulsion out of the retaining slots 7 and their accumulation on a fixed receiving and evacuation plane 9, arranged vertically from the sampling discs. In the center, between the pair of picking discs 5, there is provided a separation wheel 10 comprising on its circumference a set of projecting separation pallets 11 uniformly distributed, arranged radially, delimiting identical spaces in succession for housing the packages formed at introduce into the packaging machine. When the number of units of product predisposed for a package is reached, there is a sudden acceleration of the separation wheel 10 which brings its interference pallet 11 (which performs the separation) from the alignment position with the pair of coverslip lines 6 on the sampling discs 5 to be introduced between the last unit provided for the package and the next unit in accumulation phase. In this way, the separation of the packages will be obtained with the successive release of the package formed on the plain 9 for receiving the packages 12 and the suspension of the package being formed on the pallet 11 until the transport chain 13 releases from sequentially the plain reception of packets.
The packages thus formed are pushed by transport chains 13 provided with elements 17 projecting from the plane itself which, by acting in a sequential manner, release the receiving plane 9 from the formed packages 12 and transport the product to the machine. to package.

To feed packaging machines with inclined entry of 45 ° or less, the product pack will be predisposed vertically on the extraction guides 15 (as shown in fig. 5) and, with an appropriate rotation of the separation wheel 10, we will maintain the vertical position of the package being formed. When the last unit arrives on the formation packet, the separation pallet 11 will be aligned with the lamellas 6 of the sampling discs 5, then a sudden acceleration of the separation wheel 10 will follow, thus achieving the separation of the packets in formation (as shown in fig. 6). There will thus be a continuous supply of product packages which, bearing on the guides 15 and kept separated by the pallets 11 placed on the separation wheel 10, will reach advancing the reception plane 16 where the projecting elements 17 of the reception plane 16 and pushed by transport chains will allow sequentially to release the reception and evacuation plan 16 and to transfer the product to the packaging machine . In particular, with the system according to the invention, it is possible to position the plane 16 with the transport chain 13 with different inclinations without compromising the correct functioning of the device.

In Table 2, FIG. 4 is a view of another system for transporting the product to the sampling discs 5 produced by means of a folding cylinder 14. FIG. 5 is a view in longitudinal section of the device intended for feeding packaging machines which use an inclined input chain. Fig. 6 is a detailed view of the device of FIG. 5 in the phase preceding the extraction of the product unit from the retaining slot 7 of a strip 6. We can see in this figure the condition of alignment of the separation pallet 11 with the strip 6. The device can be variously made and adapted in its diagram and its components to specific needs of use. In table 3 fig. 7 is a variant of the device of FIG. 5 and FIG. 8 is the view of the device of FIG. 7.

In particular, provision is made, in accordance with the invention, to size the diameter of the wheel (10) so that, subject to a constant rotational movement, its peripheral speed is such that it allows a blade to be passed ( 6) discs (5) on the part of the pallet (11) of the wheel (10) which is each time, in the direction of movement, from behind, that is to say after the last unit of product that makes up the package (12). On the other hand, this results in an increase in the radius of the wheel (10) compared to that of FIG. 5, which results, for the same number of pallets (11) and of the units that make up the package (12), the angular distance between two consecutive pallet is greater than that of the wheel of Fig.5, so that the product units are no longer held tight with each other or all arranged exactly perpendicular to the guides (15), but variously inclined to the right; if the units of product were thus abandoned, they would then be transported to the packaging machine irregularly and moreover imperfections would occur in the packaged package.

To overcome these drawbacks, it is advantageously planned to partially replace the guides (15) with corresponding bands (25), closed in rings, with the curvilinear upper branch and coplanar with the remaining guides (15) and with movement concordant with that of the wheel (10), but with a speed slightly higher than that which the wheel has in correspondence with the support curve of the product units. In this way, the foot of each unit of product of the package (12) in formation and those already finished is pushed forward and against the corresponding pallet (11) which precedes the package (12) so that each unit is correctly maintains perpendicular to the strip (25) and thus until it is deposited on the evacuation plane (16).
