Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a flexible cover sheet made of textile material for carpets and stone floors, stairs, interior fittings and facilities, which is provided on one side with an adhesion-increasing coating. The invention encompasses both the cover sheet as a semi-finished product and sections of the aforementioned cover sheet cut ready for use.
A protective cover for floor coverings is known from DE 85 35 319 U1. It consists of a cut, textile rag fleece, which is coated on one side with an adhesion-increasing coating. The adhesion-increasing layer is either a latex layer sprayed on or spread on during laying or a self-adhesive layer covered by a film.
Also known is a fabric sheet to be used as a protective mat (DE 84 17 177 U1). The fabric web consists of interconnected individual fibers, in particular fiber, felt or fleece, with an adhesive layer which is covered with a protective film.
Due to the high absorbency and adherence of the nonwovens and felts to polluting liquid and dusty media, a large part of the adhesion-increasing coating is also covered, so that the adhesive effect wears off and the cover sheet can slip. Furthermore the dust clouds result from heavy dust pollution when impacted, which can also lead to an undesirable allergenic pollution. If, on the other hand, more latex is applied, for example, the cover sheet is very difficult to detach from its base. Another disadvantage is that nonwovens and felts do not have high tensile strength. High tensile loads can only tear open the cover sheet and damage the underlay.
The invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above in a cover sheet of the type mentioned and to create a cover sheet which is characterized by a high tear strength and good adhesion properties.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in a cover sheet of the type mentioned at the outset in that the cover sheet is woven from plastic threads or tapes and that at least partially an adhesive layer which can be detached from the floor and / or from the object is applied to its rear side. The plastic threads or tapes are preferably reinforced, i.e., fine glass fibers or other suitable fibers which increase the tensile strength are built into the threads or tapes.
The advantages achieved by the invention consist in particular in that the cover sheet combines the positive properties of textiles and plastic films through the woven plastic threads, is extremely hard-wearing and is a safe soil and object protection over the entire period of use, for example over an entire construction phase . A special adhesive applied to the back ensures that the cover sheet not only adheres well, but also easily from the floor, e.g. floors, carpets, stairs and the like, as well as objects, e.g. bathroom fittings, such as wash basins and toilet bowls and the like can be detached and, if necessary, can also be stuck on again. Such peelable adhesive connections are known per se. For example, acrylic-based dispersion pressure sensitive adhesives can be used. However, the adhesive layers can also be produced on the basis of latex, synthetic rubber, polyisobutylene or polyvinyl ether, for example also applied from a solution. Numerous variations and applications are known to the person skilled in the art of adhesive materials, so that the adhesive industry can take this into account at his request.
In a special embodiment of the invention, the adhesive layer is applied in spots, strips or sheets. The adhesive layer has to be adapted to the special applications. In the case of smooth surfaces in particular, a strip-like adhesive layer on the edge and isolated, selective adhesive layers distributed on the rest of the underside are sufficient to hold the cover sheet securely. More complex configurations can be held with a sheet-like adhesive layer. In principle, adhesive strips coated on both sides, such as are customary for carpet laying, can also be used.
In order to obtain an optimal adhesive layer, an amount of adhesive - wet - of 30 to 100 g / m² is applied, which has the advantage that a secure adhesion and easy detachment from the surface to be protected as well as a low use of adhesive is ensured. The adhesive preferably has a viscosity (20 ° C) of 24,000 mPa · s and consists of a commercially available dispersion based on acrylate.
So that the cover sheet can meet their special requirements, it is advantageous as Made of polyethylene ribbon fabric. This combines the positive properties of a textile covering - including high tear resistance, easy handling - and that of a plastic covering - including good resistance to wetness and heavy soiling.

If objects (not shown) are present in a room that have a complicated configuration, a
Farbspritzer, aufgenommen.Because the cover sheet is very hard-wearing and adheres well to the floor and to the objects, it sits securely during the entire period of use, for example over an entire construction phase. Due to the fabric character of the
In order to increase the dust tightness, a plastic film is also added between the woven sheet and the adhesive layer, e.g. made of polyethylene, with a thickness between 0.5 and 2 mm welded or glued to the woven web, which is then provided on its free side with the adhesive layer.
After use, the
