Definitions

  • the invention relates to a film dispenser according to the preamble of the main claim.
  • Film dispensers with a separating device in particular for household films such as aluminum, paper, transparent films or the like, are generally known. These household films are usually sold individually packaged in cardboard boxes, which are themselves designed as film dispensers, with the film being able to be separated from the film roll at a sawtooth-shaped tear-off edge. In practice, however, this is often impossible because the cardboard box deforms in the hand during such an attempt or the tear-off edge, which is also made of paper or light metal, bends, so that tear-off is made considerably more difficult and a straight cut is made virtually impossible.
  • separating devices are also known (EP 0 265 552), which, however, have the disadvantage that in each case only one is matched to one type of film Cutting system is used. If other types of film are inserted in the film dispenser, these cutting systems quickly become blunt and can no longer guarantee a clean cut. Furthermore, additional precautions often have to be taken with which a film can be held during a cutting process, which requires additional technical and constructive effort.
  • Foil dispensers are also known (US Pat. Nos. 3,236,427, 2,823,969), in which there is a removal slot and a small space formed by the housing and knife carrier.
  • the knife holder of this film dispenser is movable relative to the housing, preferably rotatably mounted. Opposite to the knife carrier, the gap is formed between the housing and knife carrier, in which a short, grippable film tab is available for gripping and pulling out another film piece.
  • the film flag is held or clamped between edges provided for this purpose.
  • the film roll is guided either in a specially designed chamber in which the film roll lies freely or by means of cylindrical guide bolts which engage in the film roll and hold it.
  • a device for receiving a film roll is also known from DE 38 23 335 A1, which consists of a fixed housing part and a hinged cover arranged at the front, behind which the film roll is mounted and has a cutting carriage which can be moved transversely to the housing and the film width, with its cutting device a flag pulled off the film roll can be cut off outside the film dispenser.
  • a clamping gap arranged between the hinged lid and the housing simultaneously forms the passage for the foil flag, as long as the hinged lid is not loaded. When the hinged lid is loaded, e.g. B. when operating the cutting device, the film flag is clamped.
  • Such a film dispenser can also have a plurality of film rolls in a housing, each with its own cutting devices and hinged covers.
  • a disadvantage of the film dispensers described above is, above all, that, after cutting off a piece of film, the film flag can be clamped in a gap formed between the knife carrier and the housing, but the clamping takes place only in short film regions, provided that the knife carrier is non-positive, preferably by its own weight, the film on corresponding edges of the housing presses. Furthermore, it is a great disadvantage that to pull out a piece of film from the roll between the knife carrier and the housing, two-handed operation is required to lift and hold the knife carrier. Also, the guidance of the film roll in the film dispenser is largely indefinite, which means that, particularly when stored in drawers or the like, the film flag cannot be pulled back into the interior of the film dispenser and it cannot be placed against the film roll.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a film dispenser which ensures that the film roll is securely received and guided in the dispenser with a film flag unwound therefrom by pulling off a piece of film, the secure holding of the film flag in particular having to be ensured and pulling off a further piece of the film is ensured by gripping the film flag with simple, quickly comprehensible operating handles, and the film piece is securely cut off in a handy cutting position.
  • Essential to the invention for the proposed film dispenser is the special arrangement of the removal slot and knife groove with respect to one another, which are arranged at a relatively large angular distance from one another on or in the housing of the film dispenser, at least this area of the housing being covered over the entire area by a knife carrier which corresponds to the contour of the housing is adapted over a substantial part and forms a gap in the cutting position between the removal slot and the knife groove, in which a projecting foil tab completely, ie is covered on both sides and is protected from external influences, and that the knife carrier can be moved from a cutting position to grip the film flag. After the knife holder has been moved out of the cutting position, the protruding film flag can be gripped and a film piece can be pulled out of the film dispenser.
  • the housing of the film dispenser and the knife carrier are cylindrical, the knife carrier on the housing being rotatable in one or both directions.
  • This embodiment like other embodiments, has a removal slot which extends at least to one of the housing ends and through which a film tab for inserting a film roll can be threaded.
  • This removal slot can be very wide by design to make threading as easy as possible. Approx.
  • the knife groove is arranged 90 degrees to the removal slot, the outer diameter of the housing being somewhat reduced in the area in between in order to create the gap space.
  • This gap space has the advantage, on the one hand, that the film is not pressed against the surface of the housing by the knife carrier and therefore does not adhere very firmly to the housing, and, on the other hand, that the direction of rotation of the housing within the knife carrier surrounding the housing is a good two thirds is freely selectable.
  • the housing is also cylindrical, but the knife carrier surrounds it only in an angular range of approximately 100 degrees, the side facing away from the cutting slide, which extends approximately beyond the removal slot, being hinged to the housing via a hinge is attached.
  • the film lug protruding from the removal slot thus remains after separating a film web between the housing and the knife carrier, which can simply be folded away for gripping the film lug.
  • two locking cams which are located on the side at the front end of the knife carrier, snap into two catches of the housing so that the knife carrier remains in this position even when the film dispenser is put down, so that the film flag is fully covered in this version too and is preserved in its original length.
  • Another advantageous embodiment of the invention consists of a likewise cylindrical housing, on the front side of which a knife carrier, which likewise encloses the housing by approximately 100 degrees, is mounted eccentrically. In the removal position, this is pivoted so that it clears the removal slot and the knife groove, so that a film web can be removed from the housing without any problems. In the closed position, the knife carrier is pivoted over the removal slot and knife groove, so that a gap is also created here, which protects the film from external influences. To limit the swiveling movement of the knife carrier, the housing is provided with a notch in the removal position and with a stop cam in the closed position.
  • Embodiments in which the film rolls can be inserted by opening or unscrewing the housing can be emphasized as further advantageous configurations of the subject matter of the invention.
  • the housing is advantageously opened via a snore, which divides the housing into an upper and a lower part.
  • the design of the hinge is freely selectable, the use of a film hinge appears to be a cheap variant.
  • the housing consists of two partial cylinders, of which the outer encloses the inner in such a way that in a certain position relative to one another a lateral longitudinal opening is created which is wider than a film roll to be inserted thick.
  • the knife carrier can have the shape of a cylindrical cutout of approximately 90 degrees, the inner radius of which roughly corresponds to the outer radius of the housing part and at the ends of which are arranged disks arranged perpendicularly thereto, which engage in the front openings of the housing in such a way that the knife carrier opens the housing surface is pivotable.
  • the possible swivel angle of the knife carrier can be limited to any desired angular dimension by housing grooves or the like.
  • These disks like the disks used in the shell-shaped upper part, have a large central bore, which serves to be able to insert a plug axially into the film reel into the film reel after the film roll has been inserted and the housing closed.
  • the housing is kept closed in the simplest way and the film roll is centered. To prevent unwanted removal of the plug from the housing, it is equipped with a catch that strikes an inner surface of the housing when the plug is pulled out.
  • the outside of the housing with smooth and matt surface sections which serve for the functionality of the film dispenser and also for easier handling.
  • thin transparent film adheres specifically to high-gloss surfaces, so that the knife holder can be turned over in any direction without the film lifting off and wrinkled.
  • the transparent film stands out from the matt surfaces, which can be used to allow a narrow strip with a matt surface in the area of the cut edge in order to be able to lift a small piece of film if it is desired to pull out another film web.
  • Aluminum foil on the other hand, partly reacts in opposite ways, i.e. it adheres to the rougher surfaces, which is also desirable in the area of the knife groove, as this can produce an excellent cut quality.
  • the axial storage of a film roll in a dispenser housing can take place not only through the mentioned stopper, but also particularly advantageously via a cuboid block fastened on a spring tab, which is briefly pivoted when the roll is inserted so that a correspondingly rounded end face on the inside Cardboard sleeve rests and presses axially against an inward-facing surface of the block on the opposite side against the end face of the cardboard sleeve and the entire film roll is held in this way.
  • the angular position of the cuboid block determines the pull-out resistance of the film web.
  • a particular advantage of the film dispenser with separating device is the simple construction of the cutting device from at least one rotatable cutting wheel and a cutting knife assigned to it, which cooperates together with a knife groove which is matched to it in shape.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment of the inventive separating device has two rotatable cutting wheels arranged opposite one another, between which a knife is arranged to be stationary or tiltable about an axis.
  • the cutting wheels perform one or more tasks during the cutting process. In all cases, it holds the film on both sides of the knife groove fixed to the housing or prestresses it between the two cutting wheels engaging in the knife groove.
  • this pre-tension is sufficient to exceed the tensile strength of the respective material, so that the knife arranged between the cutting wheels is not stressed, and when the transparent film is separated, it is stretched tightly by the spaced-apart cutting wheels , can separate them easily and almost without wear.
  • the most advantageous embodiment of the cutting wheels is a bevel gear shape, the cutting wheels with their large end faces being arranged facing one another in the cutting slide. They are about the same size, own the same thickness, the same cone angle and the same diameter of the smaller end face. Parts of the cone surfaces roll on the active surfaces of the knife groove, with a further part of the cone surfaces still extending into the knife groove.
  • the body edge of one of the two cutting wheels which is formed by the large end face and the conical surface, is rounded, while the same body edge of the other cutting wheel is sharp-edged. In embodiments with only one cutting wheel, only the sharp-edged one is present.
  • the fixed cutting knife which can also be designed to be tiltable, has a V-shaped cutting edge, so that it is functional from both end positions of the cutting carriage.
  • the cutting angles are dimensioned such that they lie in the area of the chamfers of the knife groove behind the contour of the cutting wheels, so that the desired cutting or separating effect is made possible at all. Below the bevels, however, the knife tip emerges from the contour of the cutting wheels and extends into the area of the groove base.
  • the knife holder can have a further separating device, which is located, for example, on its front edge in the area of the knife guide, and which consists of teeth cut into the knife holder and sharpened on several sides, which are shaped in this way can that a tooth flank continues to rest on the housing, thereby largely eliminating the risk of injury.
  • the user of such a film dispenser can therefore choose whether he wants to achieve a straight clean cut or a slightly jagged tear-off edge with a very high quality.
  • this film dispenser is therefore its versatility. On the one hand, it can be handled with both hands or one-handed, does not require any special attention after use, but can be stored carefree after removing a film, even on damp documents or in drawers, in which it is flung back and forth when opening and closing the same, without the risk that the foil flag slips back into the housing and can be threaded back into the removal slot only with difficulty. Furthermore, the film dispenser can be used individually or together with several others in permanently mounted wall mounts or table devices, in which it is stored ready for use or can be easily removed for use.
  • FIGS. 1 to 37 Variations of the film dispenser are shown in FIGS. 1 to 37.
  • the housing 1, 11, 21 of the film dispenser is essentially cylindrical, its inner diameter is slightly larger than that of commercially available household film rolls and the film dispenser has a removal slot 5, 15, 25 for a film web 31, which extends at least up to a housing end or also over extends the entire length of the housing. Approx. A 90 ° to this removal slot 5, 15 25 is a knife groove, 6, 16, 26 attached to the outside of the housing, which cooperates with the cutting device of the knife holder, 2, 12, 22 to be explained in more detail.

  • FIG. 26 This is achieved in FIG. 26 in the case of a conical body 42 via a cylindrical end piece which is provided with a thread 45 which interacts with an internal thread 44 of the housing 1.
  • the thread 45 has a very high pitch, which ensures that the friction in the thread 44, 45 is greater than that of the film roll 30 on the conical surface of the cone body 42, so that a set bias of a film roll 30 is maintained.
  • the threads 44, 45 are equipped with right-hand or left-hand threads in accordance with the direction of rotation of the film roll 30 or counter to the direction of rotation.
  • FIG. 27 shows a conical body 43 which is provided at its cylindrical end with a web 47 which is guided in the end slot 5 of the housing.

  • An approximately cuboid block 131 is attached to the inwardly directed disk of the spring tab 136, which block has a rounded end face 134 in a inserted, not shown film roll engages and presses axially against an edge of this end face facing inward against the edge of the film roll, not shown, and thus clamps it.
  • the rolling resistance of the film 104 can be predetermined by the angular position of the block 131 relative to the removal slot 135.
  • FIGS. 56 to 59 Also shown in FIGS. 56 to 59 is a film dispenser variant, the housing 140 of which consists of two partial cylinders 140a, 140b, of which the outer 140a partially encloses the inner 140b and both can be rotated relative to one another in such a way that a lateral longitudinal opening 149 for inserting a not shown Film roll can be generated.
  • the separating device 108 is here accommodated directly on the outer housing part 140a, so that an extra knife carrier 102 can be dispensed with.
  • the outer housing part 140a is displaced along a radial groove 146.
  • the knife carrier 132 is directly molded onto the upper housing part 130a and the separating device 108 is held displaceably between a section of the housing surface and a guide 137 of the knife carrier 132.
  • the axis of rotation 138 of the cutting wheels of the separating device 108 runs approximately radially to the central axis 139 of the housing or approximately parallel to the vertical or horizontal division plane 155, 156 of the housing.
  • FIG. 62 A conceivable lateral closure of the dispenser housing 130 is shown on the left in FIG. 62, which can be achieved by the deformation of an elastic ring 133.
  • 66 to 69 finally show a variation of the separating device 108, in which a frustoconical friction wheel 148, 158 is provided on the axis of rotation 138 of the cutting wheels, this being arranged such that it lies behind the knife 165 in the pull-out direction of the film and with its larger diameter is also installed in the pull-out direction, this larger diameter being greater than the distance between the axis of rotation 138 and the surface of the housing 1, so that the conical friction wheel 148, 158 must deform in order to roll on the surface of the housing 1 to be able to.
  • a film to be cut is advantageously held down and stretched before the separating device 108 is used.
  • FIGS. 66 to 69 and 70, 71, 72 to 74 show the separating device 108 which can be used universally for all types of film.
  • the universally usable cutting device 108 consists of a cutting carriage 64 with a knife 165 and at least one rotatable cutting wheel, in particular a bevel gear-shaped cutting wheel 175 and / or a further cutting wheel 176, which with its large end face is directly adjacent and the knife 165 is arranged so that different separation mechanisms can be generated during the separation process according to the type of film.
  • two oppositely arranged, rotating cutting wheels 72, 73 can also be arranged in the cutting carriage 64 on both sides of the knife 70, the two large end faces of the conical cutting wheels 72, 73 facing the knife 70 and the body edge of a cutting wheel 73, which is formed by the large end face and the conical surface, is rounded, whereas the corresponding body edge of the other cutting wheel 72 is sharp-edged.
  • the knife edge 94 of the separating device 108 is V-shaped and sharp on both sides. Its tip 93 extends beyond the diameter of the cutting wheel 72 into the knife groove 6, the cutting edges 93 receding in the region of the chamfers 74 of the knife groove 6 behind the contour of the cutting wheels 72, 73.
  • the cutting wheels 72, 73 can be designed on their contact surfaces with the knife groove 6 as well as the active surfaces of the knife groove 6, the chamfers 74 so that a cutting wheel 72, 73 rolls frictionally and / or positively on the active surfaces 74, the outer part of the conical surface can still extend into the knife groove 6.
  • a friction wheel 96 can be integrated in the cutting carriage 64, which is either frustoconical in cross-section and behind the knife 70 or the cutting wheel 175 or 72, 73 in the pull-out direction of the film 31 , in particular is arranged on the shaft 92, a larger diameter pointing in the direction of extension and this diameter is larger than the distance between the friction wheel axis of rotation 91 and the housing surface 1 or which is set obliquely to the housing surface 1 of the film dispenser, so that the film 31 during of the cutting process is additionally clamped in the cutting area.
  • the separating mechanism in the case of thin transparent film 31 is approximately that that a bevel gear 72 or both bevel gears 72, 73, by pressing the film 31 into the knife groove 6, clamp the latter so that that which emerges in the lower region over the radius of the cutting wheel 72 Knife 70 cuts the transparent film 31.
  • the cutting of aluminum or paper foils 31 is carried out by a similar mechanism, only that the foil 31 is separated at the sharp edge of the cutting wheel 72 at the latest during tightening while the foil material is less stretchable.
  • both separation mechanisms can be involved in the separation process alone or in any part. Because the optimal separation mechanism is used for each type of film inserted in the film dispenser, the separation device 108 is extremely wear-free. The complete film dispenser with separating device 108 is therefore extremely robust due to its simple structure and extremely handy and user-friendly due to its practical orientation.
