Claims (11)

  1. Apparatus for transferring cuboidal cigarette packs from a first packaging member, in particular a drying turret, to a discharge conveyor (57), having a rotating conveyor wheel (61) for conveying the fed packs (10,11) along a path in the form of an arc of a circle, wherein the discharge conveyor (57) has a lower conveyor belt with an upper strand (59), on which the packs (10,11) come to bear in each case with a first side (13), and an upper conveyor belt with a lower strand (58), on which the packs (10,11) come to bear in each case with a second side (12) situated opposite the first side (13), characterised by the following features:
    a) the conveyor wheel (61) and the discharge conveyor (57) are continuously movable,
    b) the packs (10,11) can be fed to the conveyor wheel (61) spaced apart from one another,
    c) the projecting take-up arms (62) for each conveyor wheel (61) having a pack (10,11) receives the packs (10,11) in a position thereof in which the take-up arms (62) bear respectively on the large-area front wall or rear wall of the pack (10,11)
    d) the rotating conveyor wheel (61) extends into the region of the discharge conveyor (57) in such a way that in each case individual packs (10,11) can be conveyed into and set down in the region between the upper strand (59) and the lower strand (58) of the discharge conveyor (57) by the take-up arms (62) of the conveyor wheel (61),
    e) the conveyor belts of the discharge conveyor (57) each comprise two conveyor belts between which the conveyor wheel (61) can rotate.
  2. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised in that the packs (10,11), having a large front wall and rear wall and narrow side walls (12,13) and end walls, can be fed to the intermediate conveyor in a flat position, that is to say with the front wall or rear wall in the conveying plane, and can be transferred to the discharge conveyor (57) in a position which is upright for said conveyor.

Apparatus according to Claim 8, characterised in that the slide member (65) is movable underneath the platform (63), and take-up means, especially vertical take-up pins (67,68) extending on both sides of the platform (63), grasp the pack (11) and take it on the platform (63) into the position for reception by the intermediate conveyor (60), and in that the take-up pins (67,68) can be conveyed back into the initial position outside the path of movement of the pack (11).
  10. Apparatus according to one or more of Claims 6 to 9, characterised in that the platform (63) has assigned to it guiding and leading members for the packs (12,11), especially for the pack (11) distant from the intermediate conveyor (60) after being pushed out of the pocket (16), especially a lower guide (75) and lateral guides (76).
