Une autre possibilité de découplage consiste à scinder le collecteur en deux parties au niveau des conduits, la première partie est fixée rigidement sur la culasse et la liaison avec la deuxième partie est réalisée pour chaque conduit grâce à un manchon cylindrique en matériau déformable.
