Dazwischen sind Vorrichtungen 15, 16, 17 zum Entfernen von Behandlungsflüssigkeit von der Warenbahn angeordnet. So wird auf einfachste Weise eine Führung der Behandlungsflüssigkeit entgegen der Laufrichtung der Warenbahn ermöglicht. Bei normal durchlässigem Gewebe kann ohne Berührung der Warenbahn gefahren werden, um das Durchdrücken der Flotte im Keilspalt voll zu nutzen. Überschüssige Flotte wird trotzdem aufgefangen und in den Zwickel der inneren Unterwalze 21 geleitet. Hier hat sie freien Durchtritt, da auf der anderen Seite der Warenbahn hier keine Flotte vorhanden ist.
