In this case, the end-side handle regions (1f and 1g; 1h and 1i) which are separated from one another by the slots (1d; 1e) are bonded to the paper bag on different sides of the folding line (2a) of said paper bag. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a paper bag with a closure flap folded over along a fold line and with a paper carrying flap which is glued to the paper bag.

It is known to glue two handles on opposite sides of unfilled paper bags or carrier bags. Such a construction, which is used in conventional shopping bags, is comparatively complex. On the one hand, the attachment of the two support straps in the manufacturing process is complex, on the other hand, the provision of two support straps increases the cost.

It is also known to provide only a paper carrying tab and to glue it on one side to a still empty bag. With this construction the bag is closed after filling, by sewing. When sewing the carrying strap is necessarily sewn through, with the result that a considerable weakening effect occurs at the seam. In addition, with a handle attached on one side, there is the disadvantage that a peeling effect occurs under the attached weight, which aims to separate the handle from the bag.

Even with a paper bag (US-A 2,661,892), the handle of which is designed as a rigid cardboard blank, there is the disadvantage of a peeling effect under load.

It is also already known to design the carrying tab as a multilayered strip folded over in the longitudinal direction, which is slit from its two sides over part of its length along the fold line. Such a strip with its slotted end regions is pushed over a wall of the paper bag and glued to it from both sides. With this type of attachment, each bag must have two carrying tabs, which are glued to the opposing paper bag walls. With this attachment, it is possible to fill the paper bag after the carrying tabs have already been attached, but the bag is not to be closed in the area of the carrying tabs. If, on the other hand, only one carrying strap is to be provided, it can only be attached after filling. This is very time-consuming.

Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a paper bag of the type presumed to be known, which avoids the disadvantages of the known solutions. In this case, a simple, secure attachment of a handle which is only provided is to be made possible after the closure on the closed bag. In addition, a partial attachment of the handle to the sealed paper bag should be possible, and the final attachment should be possible after the closure.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the carrying flap is designed as a multilayered strip folded over in the longitudinal direction, which is slit from its two ends over part of its length along the fold line, the end flap regions separated by the slits on different sides of the Fold line of the paper bag are glued to it.

The construction according to the invention combines the advantages of the known solutions without each having their disadvantages:
It is possible to get by with a single carrying strap and still achieve a symmetrical load attack. The attachment of the carrying strap in the manufacturing process is simple. The carrying strap itself is inexpensive to manufacture. The adhesive connections can be dimensioned sufficiently firmly. A peeling effect is completely avoided.

In Figure 1, the carrying tab 1 is drawn in the pre-folded state. This carrying strap consists of a total of four or six layers of paper. The fold line 1a is located in the center of the carrying strap. In the extension of the fold line 1a, the two slots 1e and 1d provided on the end face. To the side of the slot 1e, the end-side tab areas 1f and 1g are provided, next to the slot 1d there are the end-side tab areas 1h and 1i.

The carrier flap 1 is folded around its fold line 1a in the manner shown in FIG. 2. The end regions are then folded over to form the shape of the carrying strap 1 shown in FIG. 3.

In the closed state, the paper bag 2 is folded over at its end region to form a closure flap 2b around a fold line 2a. Two opposite flap areas 1f and 1g as well as 1h and 1i overlap the flap 2b from different sides and are glued to the flap or the paper bag in the position shown.

Figur 5 zeigt den befüllten Papierbeutel mit Tragelasche 1 im Transportzustand, in dem der Beutel unterhalb der Enden der Traglasche noch einmal entlang der Falzlinie 2c umgelegt und der umgelegte Bereich bei Bedarf auf dem gegenüberliegenden Beutelbereich fixiert ist.FIG. 5 shows the filled paper bag with carrying tab 1 in the transport state, in which the bag is folded over again along the fold line 2c below the ends of the carrying tab and the folded area is fixed on the opposite bag area if required.

Only the shape of the carrying strap 1 differs from the embodiment described above. This carrying strap according to FIGS. 6 to 9 consists of two areas 1m and 1n. In the flat, twisted state, the two tab areas 1n and 1m enclose an angle α of approximately 90 ° with one another.

It is also possible to attach the carrying strap to the still empty paper bag. This is done in the flat state, which is shown in Figure 10. The flap areas 1f and 1h are glued on the one hand by the fold line 2a and the flap areas 1i and 1g on the other side of the fold line 2a.

After the paper bag 2 has been closed by folding the staggered closure flap 2b, the image shown in FIG. 12 results, which corresponds to the image according to FIG.
