Description

The present invention relates to a profile strip made of foam for covering the joint area between the wall and ceiling of a room.

Such profile strips, which often serve as decorative strips, are glued in the joint area between the wall and ceiling or are carried by concealed fittings which are fastened in the joint area.

Two individual profile strip sections, which are to abut each other exactly in a corner of the room, must have carefully cut butt surfaces at their opposite ends so that they can be connected largely without gaps during installation in the corner of the room.

For the respective cutting of profile strip sections with angled abutting surfaces to form a largely gap-free profile strip corner, only simple tools are available at the installation location, which are also used by inexperienced or not specially qualified fitters. A sufficiently precise cut at the installation site has so far been largely ensured only for those profile strip sections that do not have any relief-like decorations in the corners of the room, such as. B. rosettes included. It is known from US-PS 3 609 927 that simply profiled profile strips, which are attached to walls as decorative wall decoration, have a plurality of notches at intervals which are designed in such a way that the surfaces of the notches form a 90 ° angle to one another form. In order to be able to attach such profile strips to the wall corners, one cuts or saws the profile strip at the foot of the notch perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the profile strip. The two partial areas of the notches can then be joined together in the wall corner without gaps. According to a special embodiment, the surfaces of the notches can be separated from one another by a strip part, with interfaces also being provided at the foot of the notches, which also run perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the profile strips. The visual impression of the profile bar is improved over the entire part of the profile bar by these intermediate parts. In the case of installation on corners of the room, this intermediate part is then cut out, so that the surfaces of the notches in the corners can be joined together smoothly. To date, however, a largely simple cut of two profiled strip sections, which can only be carried out at the installation site with the simplest means, forms a rosette or the like, which is made up of two mirror-image parts and is butting against one another, in an abutting manner on the wall corners and on the ceiling not possible.

The object of the invention is to provide a profile strip of the type mentioned, the simple cutting of two profile profile sections forming a profile profile corner are permitted, which have a relief-like corner ornament, which is composed of two mirror-image halves each on a profile profile section essentially without a gap.

The above object is achieved in such a way that the one-piece profile strip comprises at least two profile strip sections abutting in a room corner, both on the wall corners and on the ceiling, which are integrally connected to one another by a triangular strip part, the connection surfaces of which on both sides at the opposite ends Butt surfaces of the profile section sections form the partitions for the production of the profile section sections suitable for the butt area.

Here, the relief-like ornamentation of the one-piece profile strip containing the two profile strip sections is designed in accordance with the invention such that, after the triangular strip part has been removed, the individual profile strip sections with the abutments cut to the correct angle are available in the corner of the room, both on the wall corners and also placed on the ceiling form the relief-like ornament, which is composed essentially of two gap-like relief halves without any gaps.

According to the present invention, relief surfaces projecting profile surfaces of the ornament are present, which lie in the planes of the opposing abutting surfaces of the profile strip sections and form the contact surfaces for tools for removing the triangular strip parts.

As a result, the profile strip sections can be cut easily and at an angle from the profile strip according to the invention ensured with simple tools available at the installation site, even by technicians who are not particularly qualified.

An advantageous embodiment according to the invention also consists in that the triangular strip part between the two profile strip sections of the one-piece profile strip is produced essentially without relief. This not only saves material, but due to the relief-free design of the triangular skirting part, relief-like protruding or recessed butting surfaces are created on the connection surfaces to the opposite profile strip sections, which considerably facilitate the guidance of simple tools for removing the skirting section at the installation site.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the triangular strip part is weakened of material at least in the region of the abutting surfaces. The material weakening can also have the shape of grooves, via which the strip part is connected to the abutting surfaces of the profiled strip sections. Such grooves are particularly suitable for safely guiding a simple tool for removing the triangular power section at the installation site.

Hierin zeigt:

The invention is described using an exemplary embodiment which is shown only schematically in a drawing. Herein shows:
Fig. 1
a profile strip according to the invention in a perspective view;
Fig. 2
two pairs of isolated profile strip sections in perspective representations, which form a profile strip corner in pairs and are produced from the profile strip according to FIG. 1 and
Fig. 3
two assembled from the pair of profile strip sections according to FIG. 2, coming to lie in room corner profile strip corners in perspective views.

The profile strip 1 according to the invention in Fig. 1 contains two pairs of profile strip sections 2a, 2b and 3a, 3b, which are opposed in pairs with relief-like projecting abutment surfaces 4 and 5, to each of which a triangular profile-free strip part 6 or 7 is firmly connected, which at the installation site by means of a tool is cut out, which is held in abutment for its angular guidance during the cutting process on the abutting surfaces 4 and 5.

Zur Bildung der zwei Paar Profilleistenabschnitte ist die erfindungsgemäße Profilleiste 1 nach Fig. 1 außerdem entlang der gestrichelten Linie 8 in Fig. 1 senkrecht zur Längsrichtung durchtrennt worden.2 shows the isolated two pairs of profile strip sections 2a, 2b and 3a, 3b after the triangular strip parts 6 and 7 in FIG. 1 have been removed. To form the two pairs of profile strip sections, the profile strip 1 according to FIG. 1 is also along the broken line 8 has been severed in Fig. 1 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

Fig. 3 shows the two from the profile bar pairs 2a, 2b and 3a, 3b assembled according to Fig. 2 profile bar corners 9 and 10 in a perspective view from different views.

The profile corners 9 and 10 can be in the corners of a room between wall and ceiling or between wall and Attach the floor, the abutting surfaces 4a, 5a (FIG. 2), which are cut at an angle, have a relief-like corner decoration here in the form of a rosette 11, which is composed of two mirror-image halves, on two profile strip sections which abut one another essentially without a gap.

It is clear that the invention is not limited to the embodiment. The relief-like ornament that comes to lie in a corner of the room can have any shape and is not limited to rosettes.

The triangular strip parts 6 and 7 according to FIG. 1 need not be designed without a profile. You can also connect via grooves to the abutting surfaces 4 and 5 in Fig. 1, so that a tool for separating the strip parts 6 and 7 at the installation site not only on one side by a abutting surface 4 or 5, but within a groove between a strip part and the Butt surface of a subsequent section section is guided. Corresponding grooves 12 and 13 are only indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1. The depth of the grooves depends on the minimum thickness of the triangular strip parts 6, 7, which must be maintained in order to be able to ensure an integral cohesion of the profile strip 1 of sufficient rigidity and strength.
