Abstract

The fresh air snorkel for divers and similar users has the effect with the result that the diver breathes easier due to breathing the air in through one tube and breathing air out through the other tube based on that it is installed one or several one-way-valves (1, 2) in each tube. The fresh air snorkel is equipped with one mouthpiece (3) which can be arranged to a middle piece (7), if necessary, or directly to two separate inlet and outlet tubes (5 and 6). The inlet tube and the oulet tube can be constructed close to each other so that another person can close his mouth over both tubes without knowing which tube is the inlet tube.

Description

----------------------------------------------------
Fresh air snorkel for divers. -------------------------------------------------------
The invention relates to an fresh air snorkelwhich make it easier for the diver to breathe.
A conventional snorkel has only one tube and have the result that the diver breathe in the used airwhich remains in the tube. This cause the result that the diver will be very quikly exhausted and therefore have to take a relative deep brethe to gain the fresh air.
using the fresh air snorkel according to the invention, will active a result that the diver do not need to brethe so deeply to gain the fresh air and the result of that the diver will not be so quikly exhausted. The fresh air snorkel can be maked twice as long as the conventional snorkel and the diver need not to breathe deeper to gain the fresh air.
This can be attained according to the invention, from the mouthpiece where it is maintained an breathetubewhich is divided in two separate tubes near by or inside.the mouthpiece. One of the tubes conduct the air in to the diver and the other tube conduct the air from the diver. In each of the tubes it is installed a one-way-valve which opens only while the diver take a inlet breathe an another one-way-valve opens only while the diver breathe out the air. The fresh air snorkel according to the invention, described at fig.1 a schematic construction of the fresh air snorkel and fig.2 described an axampel of a construction of a one-way-valve.
Fig.1 describe the mouthpiese3 connected to an middel-piece 7, at 4, connected to two separate air tubes, one inlet air-tube 5 and one outlet air-tube 6 where both tubes in their whole length are both constructed closed to each other. Both tubes are approximately of same length. In theopposite end of the mouthpiece it is arranged an one-way- valve 1 and 2. These are constructed so that one opens while inlet breathing carries out and the other opens at outlet breathing. Fig.2 showes that the valves are fitted in the tubes free end, but other placeing are possible. For axample the valves can be fitted in the opposite end, at A, not shown in the figure. It is also possible to place several valves in each tube, for example one valve fitted in both ends in each tube.
While useing the fresh air snorkel the diver continously keep the mouth closed around the mouthpiece while the fresh air and used air can pass through the mouthpiece.
Based on that the tubes are fitted closed to each other, it is therefore possible for another person, in an emergency situation, to close his mouth over both tubes at the same time, and blew air into the needed diver. This operation can be carried out without knowing which tube is the inlet air tube.
It is also within the frame of invention to arrange the two tubes direct connected to the mouthpiece without the middel-piece, not shown at the drawings.

Claims

Patent demands.
1. The fresh air snorkel for divers and similar users is equipt with one mouthpiece (3) one airtube (7) which include two separate tubes, one inlet tube (5) and one outlet tube (6) where it is in each tube innstalled one or several setbackvalves, c h a r a c t e r i s t i c feature of that the breathing tube divides in two separate tubes closed to or inside the mouthpiece (3) so the diver can keep his mouth closed around the mouthpiece when inlet or outlet breating take place and that the airtubes (5,6) in their free ends which are constructed close to each other so that an outstanding person can enclose his mouth around both tubes at the same time and blew air into the diver in an emergensy situation.
2. The fresh air snorkel according to the demand 1, c h a r a c t e r is t i c feature of that the one-way-valve (1) in the inlet tube (5) installed in the free end of the tube opposite where the mouthpiece (3) is fitted and that the one-way-valve (2) in the outlet tube (6) is fitted near by the place where the tubes are divided (near 4).
3. The fresh air snorkel according to the demand 1-2, c h a r a c t e r is t i c feature of that the one-way-valve (1,2) in both outlet tube and inlet tube is fitted closed to the place where the tubes are divided (near 4).
4. The fresh air snorkel according to the demand 1-3, c h a r a c t e r is t i c feature of that in the inlet tube is fitted a one-way-valve as well as in the free end of the tube and close to where the tubes are divided (near 4) and that the one-way-valve in the outlet tube is placed close to where the tubes are divided (near 4).
