Description

The invention relates to a pretreatment system for spray pretreatment according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such pretreatment systems, as e.g. are known from US-A-3 459 201, e.g. addition, components such as cladding elements, window frames or the like. free of grease and dirt in order to be able to coat these components, e.g. by powder coating, painting or anodizing.

This pretreatment can include degreasing with a weakly alkaline medium in a first device, subsequent rinsing with water, neutralization with weak sulfuric acid, a further rinse cycle, the Chromating with weak chromic acid, rinsing with demineralized water and rinsing include, ie a total of seven operations, the respective medium being sprayed on and collected in a tub. The collected media can be reused, as long as it is not rinsing water. Accordingly, care must of course be taken to ensure that the media from different work processes do not mix. In order to achieve this, the individual pretreatment devices, ie the spray nozzles and the associated drip pan, are conventionally arranged at large distances from one another. This means that such pretreatment systems take up considerable space in addition to the space required for the actual coating system and make large transport routes necessary.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to design a pretreatment system of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that a compact, space-saving design is achieved with unchanged effectiveness, and that it is ensured that the individual spray media are separated from one another with absolute certainty, with nevertheless unimpeded transport should be possible by means of the transport device.

This object is achieved according to the characterizing part of claim 1.

This means that the lifting and lowering movement of the winding shaft takes place in a coordinated manner with the winding and unwinding movement, so that the separating element is wound up in the lowered state and accordingly the above the collecting troughs e.g. transport device fastened to the ceiling of the building can transport the holding devices with the parts to be treated forward in cycles without the separating elements hindering the transport. When the winding shafts are raised, the separating element is unwound and now ensures safe separation when the transport device is at rest.

In a conceivable design, it is provided that the take-up shaft laterally protrudes laterally beyond the transport device and at the end there are toothed or friction wheels which wrap around a friction belt or chain belt or a toothed belt such that the one belt or belt end is stationary above it the transport device is mounted, while the other end of the belt or belt is shortened or lengthened by a drive, which can be arranged in the area of the building ceiling, wound up or unwound.

An alternative constructive embodiment provides that at least one drive sits on each take-up shaft, which drive is connected to a take-up roll, around which a holding strap fastened above the transport device or retaining belt can be wound up in such a way that the winding shaft rotates and is lowered or raised during winding and at the same time the separating element is rolled up or unrolled.

With this solution, the winding shaft practically pulls itself upwards into the separating position due to the drive arranged there.

In principle, it would be advantageous to firmly connect the lower edge of the separating element to the area between the longitudinal edges of two collecting trays in order to prevent the lower edge from being disoriented. As a result, it is also possible to work with relatively thin separating elements.

In this context, it is also possible to attach springs to the take-up shaft, similar to a fixed roller blind, which are wound when the take-up shaft is rotated when it is pulled up due to the unwinding process due to the fastening of the lower edge, and which then ensure that these when the take-up shaft is lowered rotated under the action of the springs and the separating element is wound up.

In order to avoid spray shadows being formed on the objects to be treated during the spray treatment, it is particularly advantageously provided that the spray nozzles are arranged so that they can be moved up and down along the holding devices. The spray nozzles can be attached, for example, to a line encompassing the holding devices in a U-shape, a flexible hose line supplying the dimensionally stable U-shaped line with the spray medium and compensating for the up and down movement.

A pretreatment system shown in the drawing comprises a plurality of collecting trays 1, only four trays 1a to 1d being shown in the drawing for the sake of simplicity, although for most practical applications several such trays, e.g. seven such tubs will be provided.

In practice, e.g. a first pan for degreasing by means of a weakly alkaline solution, a second pan for rinsing with water, a third pan for pickling (neutralizing) for weak, e.g. 10% sulfuric acid, a fourth tub for rinsing, a fifth tub for chromating with weak chromic acid, a sixth tub for rinsing with deionized water and a seventh tub for rinsing.

In the area of the ceiling 2 of the building, in which the system according to the invention is housed, a transport device 3 is provided, which comprises rails 4, on which motor-driven carriers 5 run, on which likewise only schematically indicated holding devices 6 for those attached thereto treating objects 7 are attached.

The transport device 3 transports the holding devices 6 in the direction of the arrow 8 in FIG. 1 in cycles in such a way that the holding devices 6 each remain above a tub 1 for the duration of a spray treatment to be described below, in order then to be transported on again in a further transport step, for example from tub 1a to tub 1b.

In the area of each tub 1 there are spray nozzles 9 which are formed on a rectangular, annularly closed line 10, each line 10 having a central inflow 11 which is only schematically indicated in FIG.

The ring lines 1o are provided in the vertical direction (arrow 14 in FIG. 1) via bearings 12 provided outside the respective trough 1 on holding devices 13 by means of drives (motor 23 ') not shown in the drawing, so that those to be treated Objects 7 seen in the vertical direction are sprayed from all sides and in this way spray shadows are avoided.

Whenever the transport device 3 carries out a cyclical transport into the area of the treatment system or from one tub to the next, the lines 10 are lowered so that the holding devices 6 for the objects 7 to be treated can pass freely therewith.

Rollos vorgesehen.Separating elements 15 in the form of curtains or blinds which are resistant to weak alkalis and acids are provided between the individual collecting trays 1.

These separating elements are connected with their lower edge 16 to the region 17 between two collecting trays 1 or to the edge region of the outermost collecting trays. Wind-up shafts 18 are connected to the opposite end region 19 of the separating elements 15 and in turn are mounted in the area of the ceiling 2 via cable pulls 20. The ends of the winding shafts 18 are each rotatably mounted on a horizontal support 21, the two horizontal supports 21 being guided on both sides of the holding device 13 and being able to be raised and lowered by means of a cable 22 and an associated motor 23.

In the area of the carrier 21 or the ends of the winding shafts 18, a spiral spring is provided, which is pulled up like a spring roller blind when the carrier 21 and thus the winding shafts 18 are pulled upwards, so that these springs, not shown in the drawing, on the other hand when Lowering the carrier 21 and the take-up shafts 18 drive the take-up shafts 18 in the direction of arrow 24, so that when the take-up shafts 18 are lowered into the region immediately above the tubs 1, the separating elements 15 are wound up under the influence of the rotary action of these springs.

The above-described system according to the invention thus works so that in the starting position the winding shafts 18 and the lines 10 are lowered to the area below the lower end 25 of the holding devices 6. Accordingly, the holding devices 6 with the objects 7 to be treated can be moved into the area of the Troughs 1 or are moved in cycles from a trough 1a to a trough 1b or 1c or 1d. After the transport device 3 has come to a standstill after such a cyclical transport movement, the winding shafts 18 with the carrier 21 are first moved upward, so that the separating elements 15 between their lower edge 16 and the one moved upwards, in FIG. 1 in their upper end position shown winding shaft 18 excited will. In spite of the spatial proximity of two adjacent collecting trays 1, the space above the same is hermetically separated from the adjacent tray.

The lines 10 with the spray nozzles 9 can now be moved down and up in the direction of the arrow 14, so that the objects 7 are sprayed from different angles and thus very uniformly.

After the lines 1o are all lowered again, which can be the case after one or more up and down movements, the winding shafts 18 are also lowered again, the coil springs tensioned during the previous lifting now setting the winding shafts 18 into rotation, so that after complete lowering of the winding shafts 18, the separating elements 15 are located on the winding shafts 18 in the area below the lower end 25 of the holding devices 6.

The transport device 3 can now initiate a further, cyclical transport step.

Accordingly, it is possible on the basis of the solution according to the invention to carry out a very intensive treatment in a confined space.
