Abstract

A hair dryer (10) is described which has a housing (12) having an air inlet opening (14), an air-conducting channel (18) and an air outlet opening (16), there being arranged in the air-conducting channel (18) a fan (20) for generating an air flow (26) and a rotor element (22) which is mounted rotatably, has at least one perforation (24) and means, by which the rotor element (22) can be set in rotation when subjected to the air flow (26). A stationary baffle (30) is assigned to the rotor element (22), the baffle (30) at least partially covering the air-conducting channel (18) and having passage openings (32) so that, during the operation of the hair dryer (10), perforations (24) of the rotor element (22), which can be set in rotation, and passage openings (32) of the baffle (30) temporarily coincide with one another. As a result, it is possible to vary the air flow emerging from the hair dryer (10) individually in terms of time and space. <IMAGE>
