Description

The invention relates to a covering for scaffolding such as facade scaffolding or other scaffolding to be erected on walls or buildings, this covering having a tabular bottom.

Scaffolding coverings are scaffolding elements to be arranged horizontally, which are installed between the vertical beams of a facade scaffolding or the like and which are both horizontal supporting elements and also for walking on or as a base for erecting building materials or the like.

It is known to carry out such coverings both in wood and in steel and aluminum. Such coverings are also called planks, especially if they are made of wood.

The material wood is becoming less and less important in scaffolding, which is primarily due to the weight and the risk of fire, but safety considerations also play a role, because wood becomes slippery when it is wet, so that people standing or walking on such coverings can slip easily.

Because of its lower weight, aluminum is becoming increasingly important in scaffolding. However, the high material costs of aluminum are unfavorable. In addition, there is also a fire hazard in certain areas of application. For example, the use of aluminum scaffolding components is not permitted in many power plants because aluminum burns at high temperatures.

For these reasons, more and more scaffold coverings are made of steel. For welding reasons and because of the steel for corrosion protection is galvanized, one is bound to relatively large thicknesses of the steel sheets used, so that relatively high weights of the individual coverings result, which is disadvantageous especially in scaffolding, since manual transport of the scaffolding components predominates there.

The invention has for its object to be able to reduce the weight of scaffold coverings made of steel.

This object is achieved with a covering of the type mentioned, which has the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The covering for scaffolding according to the invention can be produced from relatively thin galvanized steel sheets and in particular Sendzimir galvanized steel sheets, since no welded connections are necessary. Some of the steel sheets are rolled into rectangular to square hollow profiles, which have groove-like recesses open to the outside in the corner regions of the rectangular to square cross section, which can have a specially shaped and preferably undercut cross section. In each case two of these hollow sections, which are rectangular in cross section, are connected to one another by thin-walled steel plates or intermediate plates, which are likewise galvanized and in particular Sendzimir galvanized, in such a way that they are held parallel to one another. The intermediate plates to be used have webs bent at right angles or hook-shaped on their longitudinal edges, which in a press, i.e. So under pressure, pressed into the specially shaped groove-shaped recesses of the profiles and thereby deformed accordingly or simply hooked into the undercut recesses.

Since the angled webs of the plates provided as intermediate elements are considerably softer than the corner construction of the rolled hollow profiles, the geometry of the corner construction becomes when the webs are pressed into the grooves of the profiles which are not straight in cross section does not change while the webs deform, so that after the pressing-in process, the parallel rectangular hollow profiles with the plates arranged between them are, so to speak, form-fitting and thus permanently and firmly connected, and a stiffened rectangular hollow profile is formed.

If the two parallel hollow profiles are formed in one piece with an intermediate plate connecting them, only a separately produced intermediate plate needs to be installed to finish the covering or the screed. In this case, the separate intermediate plate does not need to be pressed into the grooves of the hollow profiles and deformed in the process in order to achieve a positive connection. Rather, in this case, the separate intermediate plate can be provided with hook-like projections, which can be hung in the grooves of the hollow profiles.

The invention has the advantage that no welding or expensive riveting work is necessary for the design and assembly of the parts of the scaffolding covering made of sheet steel. Therefore, steel sheets can be processed with a much smaller thickness than previously necessary, so that there are also lower overall weights of the scaffold coverings designed according to the invention. Furthermore, there is the advantage that, with the rolled hollow profiles remaining the same, changes to the width of the simple intermediate plates or intermediate profiles can be adapted to individual frame widths. Also, more than two rectangular profiles can be connected in one unit by intermediate plates, so that both the stability and the width of scaffold coverings according to the invention can be varied without having to change the geometry of the rolled rectangular profiles used.

Fig. 4
3 shows a partial top view of the scaffolding covering from FIG. 3.

A covering for scaffolding such as facade scaffolding consists in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 in its basic form of two hollow profiles 1 and 2 which are rectangular in cross section and of two intermediate plates 3 and 4 which initially connect these hollow profiles and are produced separately. Both the hollow profiles 1 and 2 as well the intermediate plates 3 and 4 are rolled from thin steel sheet, which steel sheet can be galvanized and in particular sendzimir galvanized.

Since the two hollow profiles 1 and 2, like the two intermediate plates 3 and 4, are each of the same design, only one of the two hollow profiles and only one of the two intermediate plates will be described in detail below, in order to avoid repetitions.

Jedes Hohlprofil 1 bzw. Each hollow profile 1 or 2 is rolled from a thin and previously galvanized steel sheet 5 into a rectangular cross-section, with in each side of the rectangular cross-section there is a web 6 folded inward from the steel sheet and formed by folding the steel sheet 5 is and serves to stabilize the hollow profile. In the side wall 7 of the hollow profile, which is shorter in this drawing and points outwards, the ends of the steel sheet 5 forming the hollow profile 1 or 2 are positively connected to one another, namely by means of an inwardly pointing bent web 8 and an opposite further web folded back over this web 8 9. The steel sheet 5 thus forms a closed rectangular hollow profile 1 or 2 without welding or rivet connections, which is part of the scaffolding covering. The connection of the edges of the steel sheet takes place with the help of a U-shaped cross-section fold, which can be seen in the drawing.

In the area of the four corners 11 of the hollow profile 1 or 2, the steel sheet 5 is complex deformed such that an outwardly open, inwardly arcuate slot 12 is formed, the inlet end 13 in the same plane as the corresponding side wall 14 of the hollow profile 1 or 2 lies or is flush with this side wall. An outwardly projecting extension 15 of the profiled rolled steel sheet 5 delimits the slot 12 to the outside.

The intermediate plates 3 and 4 are provided for connecting two adjacent and parallel hollow profiles 1 and 2. Each intermediate plate, like every hollow profile, is rolled from thin and galvanized sheet steel 5 and has a double-walled web 6 approximately in the middle, which, as the drawing shows, points inwards and how the corresponding webs of the hollow profiles 1 and 2 for stabilization or Reinforcement of the intermediate plate serves.

Jedes Zwischenblech 3 bzw. Each intermediate plate 3 or 4 has an edge 16 which is initially bent at right angles on its two longitudinal edges. When joining the hollow profiles 1 and 2 with the intermediate plates 3 and 4, the right-angled edges 16 of the intermediate plates 3 and 4 are inserted into the inlet end 13 of the relevant slots 12 of the hollow profiles 1 and 2. The intermediate plates 3 and 4 are pressed against the corresponding hollow profiles 1 and 2 by means of a press (not shown here), the edges 16 of the intermediate plates 3 and 4 following the curvature of the slots 12 running inward within the hollow profiles 1 and 2 and thereby being permanently bent , so that finally a positive connection between the intermediate plates 3 and 4 and the adjacent hollow profiles 1 and 2 is brought about and the intermediate plates with the top and bottom of the hollow profiles 1 and 2 lie in one plane. No welding or riveting is required for this connection either.

The covering thus formed has an overall rectangular cross section, which consists of two outer hollow profiles and intermediate plates arranged between them. By adding further hollow profiles with the help of further intermediate plates arranged in between, the width of the covering can be expanded as desired.

Arrows 17 indicate how or in which direction the intermediate plates 3 and 4 and their edges 16 are moved relative to the hollow profiles 1 and 2 in order to permanently connect the intermediate plates to the hollow profiles.

Similar to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the covering shown in FIG. 2 in the final stage of construction forms a screed which is rectangular in cross section and is suitable as a scaffold covering. Compared to the embodiment from FIG. 1, however, the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 is simpler and therefore cheaper to manufacture.

A relatively wide galvanized steel sheet 18 is formed into two hollow profiles 19 and 20 which run parallel to one another and are rectangular in cross section and which are integrally connected to one another by an intermediate element or intermediate sheet 21 consisting of the steel sheet 18. In each of the upper sections 22 and 23 of the two hollow profiles 19 and 20, an inwardly projecting web 24 is provided, which serves as a reinforcement and is folded out of the steel sheet 18.

At the - seen in Fig. 2 - the lower end of the inner wall 25 of each of the hollow profiles 19 and 20, an outwardly projecting flange 26 is angled, which rests on the inside of the intermediate plate 21 and is firmly connected to the intermediate plate 21 by pressure joining. At least one bulge 27 pointing inwards has been created by the pressure joining.

The two hollow profiles 19 and 20, which are integrally connected to one another by the intermediate plate 21, are an inherently relatively stable structure, which is given its final stability by an intermediate plate 21 receives another separate intermediate plate 28 to be inserted opposite.

The intermediate plate 28, which is initially separate, likewise consists of galvanized steel plate and has in the central region a web 29 serving as reinforcement and pointing inwards, which is created by folding the steel plate. On the longitudinal edges of the intermediate plate 28 there are hook-like projections 30 which point obliquely inwards and which end with an angled flange 31 pointing outwards.

The lugs 30 can, when the intermediate plate 28 is moved in the direction of arrows 32 against the hollow profiles 19 and 20, be hooked into undercut grooves 33 located on the inner upper corners of the hollow profiles, as a result of which the scaffolding covering according to FIG. 2 is completed.

Although it is expedient to plug the intermediate plate 28 onto the hollow profiles in the direction of the arrows 32 and to move it so to speak perpendicularly to the surface of the hollow profiles, the intermediate plate 28 can also be pushed on from one end face of the covering.

In any case, it is expedient to press the hollow profiles 19 and 20 somewhat upwards and thus against one another when the intermediate plate 28 is being put on or pushed on, so that the grooves 33 approach each other to an extent which allows the intermediate plate to be plugged on or pushed on easily. If the intermediate plate 28 is in its desired end position, the hollow profiles 19 and 20 can be released so that they return to their starting position and a firm, positive connection between the intermediate plate 28 and the hollow profiles 19 and 20 is now established.

When moving the hollow profiles 19 and 20 against each other, the intermediate plate 21 connecting them is bent. Since this intermediate plate is made of sheet steel, this bend is without permanent deformation possible so that the intermediate plate 21 allows the hollow profiles 19 and 20 to spring back in their initial position after the intermediate plate 28 has been put on. This resilience effect can be further intensified by an opposite curvature of the intermediate plate 21 that is to be provided when the steel plate 18 is deformed, which can be done by rolling.

The covering shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is designed in its basic form similarly to the covering according to FIG. 2, but is even cheaper to produce.

Again, from a relatively wide galvanized steel sheet 18 two parallel and rectangular in cross-section hollow sections 34 and 35 are formed, which are integrally connected to each other by an intermediate element or intermediate sheet 21 made of steel sheet 18. As shown in FIG. 23 in particular, the hollow profiles 34 and 35 are shaped as simple rectangles in cross-section and are thus even simpler than the hollow profiles 19 and 20 of the embodiment according to FIG. 2. Also in the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 the lower one End of the inner wall 25 of each of the hollow profiles 34 and 35 each angled as an outwardly projecting flange 26 which rests on the inside of the intermediate plate 21 and is firmly connected to the intermediate plate by pressure joining. The inward bulges 27 resulting from the pressure joining can be seen in particular in FIG. 4.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the hollow profiles 34 and 35 are also connected to one another by means of band-shaped tabs 36 which are arranged opposite the intermediate plate 21. The tabs 36 are narrow metal strips that are provided at a mutual distance of, for example, about one meter. 3 and 4, these tabs 36 lie with their two ends 37 and 38 on the outside 40 or the hollow profiles 34 and 35 and are fastened to these hollow profiles by means of rivets 41.

The riveting of the tabs 36 is a particularly advantageous type of connection. Since no continuous sheet is required to connect the sides of the hollow profiles 34 and 35 opposite the intermediate sheet 21, but rather narrow strip-shaped tabs 36 arranged at a greater distance from one another, for example at a distance of about one meter, the total weight of the covering can be reduced further.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the covering is expediently arranged in the frame so that the tabs 36 point downward.

Der Belag ist tatsächlich wesentlich länger und kann den Abstand zwischen zwei benachbarten senkrechten Säulen eines Traggerüstes überbrücken.4, dash-dotted lines 42 indicate that the plan view shown in this drawing figure shows only a partial section of a scaffold covering in the area of a tab 36 used as a connecting element. The covering is actually much longer and can bridge the distance between two adjacent vertical columns of a supporting structure.
