  • a spring-biased ball 24 is disposed in a hole 25 formed adjacent to each of the lateral edges 16 of the coupling element 14.
  • the balls 24 may be fixed inside the holes 25 by any suitable means, such as screws 26.
  • the balls 24 are allowed to partially protrude out of the inside surface of the coupling element 14. This is best seen in Figs. 5 and 6. With the partial protrusion, the balls 24 are contactable with the teeth 43 each time a tooth 43 passes the balls 24.
  • the coupling element 14 When the coupling element 14 is allowed to rotate about the pivotal pin 15 ( as the situation shown in Fig. 4), the coupling element 14 will be rotated about the pivotal pin 15 by the contact of one of the balls 24 with one of the teeth 43. The contact makes the opposing lateral edge 16 move into the space between the teeth 43 and later abut one of the teeth 43 (Fig. 6). Since this happens rapidly, an impact will be generated and transmitted to the socket (not shown) by way of the follower shaft 40. This impact will then be applied to a nut (not shown) to be loosened and the resistance of the nut results in the slow-down of the follower shaft 40 together with the main body 10.

Claims (4)

  1. Clé à écrous (100) comprenant un boîtier (102), à l'intérieur un moteur réversible (101) servant de source de couple commandé par des moyens contacteurs (104) et un mécanisme de transmission de couple (103) relié à un axe (106) dudit moteur (101) pour transmettre le couple à un manchon s'engageant avec celui-ci, ledit mécanisme de transmission de couple (103) comprenant :
    un corps principal cylindrique creux (10) comportant une partie intérieure avec une extrémité fermée, ladite extrémité fermée ayant une partie en saillie (12) formée sur celle-ci parallèlement à un axe dudit corps principal (10), un trou (13), coaxial avec ledit axe du corps principal (10), formé sur ladite partie en saillie (12) pour recevoir ledit axe (106) à l'intérieur de celui-ci, ledit corps principal (10) comportant en outre une entaille radiale (11) dans laquelle un élément d'accouplement (14) formé de manière complémentaire est introduit et fixé de manière rotative sur celui-ci par un pivot (15) qui est parallèle mais non coaxial audit axe de sorte que ledit élément d'accouplement (14) est rotatif par rapport au corps principal (10) autour dudit pivot (15) pour qu'un premier bord latéral (16) dudit élément d'accouplement (14) tourne à l'intérieur dudit corps principal (10);
    une pluralité de goujons de commande (18), chacun desdits goujons de commande (18) étant positionné dans un trou (21) aménagé sur l'extrémité fermée du corps principal (10);
    un dispositif d'arrêt (30) fixé sur ladite partie en saillie (12) par des moyens de fixation (31), ledit dispositif d'arrêt (30) comprenant une paire de masselottes (32) et un disque (33) coulissant le long de ladite partie en saillie (12), ledit disque (33) étant poussé vers l'extrémité fermée du corps principal (10) lorsque ledit corps principal (10) ne tourne pas, sous l'action de forces centrifuges résultant d'une vitesse de rotation élevée dudit corps principal (10) avec ledit dispositif d'arrêt (30), lesdites masselottes (32) se déplaçant vers l'extérieur et tirant ledit disque (33) de ladite extrémité fermée du corps principal (10); et
    un arbre mené (40) ayant une extrémité effilée (42) pour s'engager dans ledit manchon et une extrémité élargie (41) avec une paire de dents (43), une première et une seconde, formées autour de celui-ci, ladite extrémité élargie (41) de l'arbre mené (40) étant placée à l'intérieur dudit corps principal (10) de sorte que , lorsque ledit élément d'accouplement (14) tourne autour dudit pivot (15) pour que ledit premier bord latéral entre dans ladite partie intérieure, ledit premier bord latéral (16) entre en contact et s'engage sur ladite première dent (43) pour transmettre une quantité de mouvement angulaire résultant d'un couple fourni par ledit moteur (101) à l'arbre mené (40) et audit manchon;
    lorsque ledit premier bord latéral (16) heurte ladite première dent (43), la vitesse de rotation dudit corps principal (10) étant soudainement et brutalement décélérée et ensuite ledit premier bord latéral (16) étant fixé de manière non rotative sur le pivot (15) et se dégageant de ladite première dent (43) pour permettre audit corps principal (10) d'accélérer de nouveau,
    caractérisée en ce que,
    chacun desdits goujons de commande (18) étant monté sur ressort et ayant une extrémité élargie (19) et une extrémité effilée (20), ladite extrémité effilée (20) pouvant coulisser dans les trous en rapport (23) aménagés dans l'élément d'accouplement (14) pour éviter que lesdits goujons de commande (18) ne soient poussés contre les ressorts (22) de ceux-ci;
    lesdits goujons de commande (18) réagissent réciproquement avec ledit disque (33) et sont poussés dans lesdits trous (23) aménagés dans ledit élément d'accouplement (14) par ledit disque (33) lorsque ledit corps principal ne tourne pas de sorte que l'élément d'accouplement (14) ne peut tourner par rapport audit pivot (15) et lesdits goujons de commande (18) quittent lesdits trous (23) aménagés dans ledit élément d'accouplement (14) sous l'action desdits ressorts (22) lorsque ledit corps principal tourne à une vitesse élevée de sorte que ledit élément d'accouplement soit en position rotative par rapport audit pivot (15).
  2. Clé à écrous (100) selon la revendication 1,
    caractérisée en ce que,
    ledit élément d'accouplement (14) comprenant en outre une première bille (24) montée sur ressort placée prés d'un second bord latéral (16) dudit élément d'accouplement (14) qui est opposé audit premier bord latéral (16), ladite première bille (24) étant partiellement en saillie à l'intérieur dudit corps principal (10) de sorte que, lorsque ladite première bille (24) passe ladite seconde dent (43), ledit premier bord latéral (16) tourne dans un espace entre lesdites dents (43) et s'appuie contre ladite première dent (43).
  3. Clé a écrous (100) selon la revendication 2,
    caractérisée en ce que,
    ledit élément d'accouplement (14) comprenant en outre une seconde bille (24) montée sur ressort placée près dudit premier bord latéral (16) avec ladite seconde bille (24) partiellement en saillie à l'intérieur dudit corps principal (10) de sorte que, lorsque ladite seconde bille (24) passe ladite première dent (43), ledit second bord latéral (16) tourne dans ledit espace entre lesdites dents (43) et s'appuie contre ladite seconde dent (43).
  4. Clé a écrous (100) selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle les moyens de fixation (31) sont une bague de retenue.
