In Figur 1 ist ein schematischer Schnitt in Kettrichtung durch einen erfindungsgemäßen Gurt zu sehen, wobei die Schußrichtung senkrecht zur Darstellungsebene verläuft. Es handelt sich um einen Gurt mit einer Leinenbindung im Bereich der unteren und oberen Schlauchhälfte 1 und 2 und mit einer Einlage 3, die zweilagig ausgebildet ist und eine lose, durch ihre beiden Lagen verlaufende Kettbindung aufweist. Diese Bindung wird auch "englische Bindung" genannt. Der Schußfaden, z.B. 4, verläuft durch alle vier Schichten nacheinander und zyklisch, was dazu führt, daß die Einlage an den Gurträndern, die sich vor und hinter der Zeichenebene befinden, mit dem die Einlage umhüllenden und aus den Schlauchhälften 1 und 2 bestehenden Schlauch fest verbunden ist. Alleine diese Verbindung sorgt schon dafür, daß sich die Einlage, die ja ihrerseits auch wieder eine Webstruktur besitzt und nicht eine ungeordnete Füllung ist, im Gebrauch nicht verschieben kann, so daß ein gleichbleibender Tragekomfort gewährleistet ist. Die Kettfäden 5 in der unteren Schlauchhälfte 1 und/oder der oberen Schlauchhälfte 2 können in Hinblick auf besondere Eigenschaften der Deckschicht des Gurts ausgewählt werden, z.B. als relativ dünne und dicht liegende Baumwollfäden ausgebildet sein, während die Kettfäden 6 der Einlage vorzugsweise als bauschiges Synthetikmaterial ausgebildet sind, die Volumen schaffen und keine Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen. Demgemäß kann auch die Kettfadendichte in den Bereichen des Schlauchs 1 und 2 deutlich höher gewählt werden als im Bereich der Einlage 3.
