Description

Containerstaugerüste für Container verschiedener Längen- und Breitenabmessungen an Bord von SchiffenContainer stowage frames for containers of various lengths and widths on board ships

The invention is used in cell guides on container ships and enables containers of different standard sizes in length and width to be stowed.

The introduction of different length and width standards for containers makes it increasingly difficult for ships to correctly adapt the scope of container parking spaces in storage racks to the changing range of requirements. The adjustment is made by using size-adjustable scaffolding on board the ships. In the current state of the art, the storage racks for containers can be varied in length as required, as in US-A-3 380 422. If the containers to be loaded are to be loaded in the container storage racks to the same width dimension, a considerable expenditure of time and costs occurs for the conversion of the container cell scaffolding, which extends the port's berthing time. The economy of container transport is worsened by the associated conversion.

The aim of the invention is now to eliminate the disadvantages in terms of costs and time for the transport economy and to increase the cost-effectiveness of container transport by sea.

The object of the invention is to develop cell guides on board ships for containers with different standard sizes in length and width. The problem is solved in such a way that both the length and the width of the containers in the cell guides can be varied. A fixed, graduated container cell guide is provided in the container stowage frame to accommodate the different widths of the containers. To accommodate the various container lengths, the container stowage structures are designed in a manner known per se as a stationary and or longitudinally displaceable container stowage structure.

According to the invention, a cell guide for two different container widths is designed so that a stepped container cell guide is created. This stepped container cell guide has the smaller width on the inside and the larger width on the outside. This means that containers with different widths can be stowed in a container cell guide.

The stepped container cell guide extends upwards, the stepped area smoothly merging into a spherical insertion surface. This ensures problem-free insertion of the containers into the graduated container cell guides. When inserted into the cell guide, the container inevitably slides on the insertion surface via random sliding lines into the cell guides corresponding to its dimensions in length and width. The solution according to the invention creates the possibility of stowing containers of different lengths and widths in a loading area.

The invention is explained in more detail with reference to drawings. Figures 1 and 2 show possibilities of stowing containers of different lengths and widths in a cargo area. Figures 3 and 4 show the upper part of the container cell guide.

In order to meet the different width requirements of the container sizes, the container cell guides 3 are designed in stages on the container stowage structures 1 and 2, so that the narrower width is on the inside and the larger width is on the outside. Each stepped container cell guide 3 is extended upwards in the insertion area.

The stepped part of the container cell guide 3 merges smoothly into a spherical insertion surface 8, so that problem-free insertion of the containers into the stepped container cell guide is ensured. When the container 4, 5 or 6 is inserted into the stepped container cell guides 3, the container necessarily slides on random sliding lines 9 or 10 of the insertion surfaces 8 into the width and length of the stepped container cell guides 3 intended for it.
The container stowage structures 1 are stationary at the ends of the cargo area.
Between them, the two container stows 2 are designed to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction.

In Figure 1, the possibility of optional stowage of 2 x 49 'long containers or 2 x 40' plus 1 x 20 'long containers is shown. The gradations of the container cell guides 3 are used to accommodate the different container widths of 8 1/2 'and 8'.

In Figure 2, the possibility of optional stowage of 2 x 49 'plus 1 x 20' long containers or 3 x 40 'long containers is shown.

In this application, too, the gradations of the container cell guides 3 are used to accommodate the different container widths of 8 1/2 'and 8'.

In the container arrangement for 49 ′ long containers shown in FIG. 1, a certain empty space remains between the two container stows 2 for the compensation of construction tolerances.

In the container arrangement shown in FIG. 2 there is no empty space to compensate for construction tolerances. In this embodiment, the two container stowage structures 1, which are stationary per se, can also be made adjustable at the ends in order to ensure the required dimensional accuracy of the container stowage structures 1 and 2 in both applications.
