Claims (10)

  1. A connector locking device, of the type including a body (20) generally in the form of a hollow cylinder carried by a first portion (10) of the connector, a pin (31) carried by a second portion (12) of the connector and a locking means which is movable between a first and a second position for which the body (20) and the pin (31) are connected together or free, characterised in that:
    - the locking means is positioned in openings (35) of the pin (31) and movable between a first position for which it is partially outside the openings (35) and a second position for which it is entirely within the openings (35),
    - the pin (31) has internally a control rod (32) and externally an axially movable slide (33),
    - the body (20) has a housing in which is located the portion of the locking means extending outside the openings (35).
  2. A device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the control rod (32) is shaped with a forward end (40) of small diameter moving in a bore of the pin (31) in order to be positioned so as to push the locking means towards the outside of the openings (35).
  3. A device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the control rod (32) has an annular boss (41) against which bears a spring (43) tending to push the control rod (32) such that its forward end (40) pushes on the locking means.
  4. A device according to Claim 3, characterised in that the rear of the spring (43) bears on a plug (39) closing the opening portion (46) of the bore of the pin (31).
  5. A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the control rod (32) extends beyond the pin (31) and in that the rear projecting end (44) is shaped so as to facilitate the gripping of the control rod (32).
  6. A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the slide (33) has tabs (47) of which the ends have internally directed radial enlargements which are applied against the external surface of the pin (31).
  7. A device according to Claim 6, characterised in that the slide (33) is movable between a first position for which the ends of the tabs (47) are close to an annular boss (37) of the pin (31) and a second position for which the radial enlargements of the tabs (47) are against a shoulder, also of the pin, at a distance from the annular boss (37) and in that a spring (48) returns the slide (33) towards the second position.
  8. A device according to Claim 7, characterised in that in the second position, the slide (33) is disposed in front of the openings (35) in order to hold the locking means completely within the openings (35).
  9. A device according to any one of Claims 5 to 8, characterised in that the unlocking is effected by pulling the control rod (32) by its rear end (44) in the direction tending to remove it from the pin (31).
  10. A device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the locking means is formed by balls (34) disposed in radial openings (35) of the pin (31) and in that the housing provided by the body (20) is a circumferential groove (25) on its internal surface.
