Abstract

The proposed tool holder has the advantage that accurate round holes can be made with it, using a hammer drill, even if the tool-holding fixture is deflected. For this purpose, the transmission of the precursive-mechanism action is suppressed and a tool holder (28) is fixed to the collar (29) of the hammer drill and centred. A drill chuck (28), arranged in the extension of the tool-holding fixture (4) of the hammer drill and connected to the rotary drive of the hammer, ensures exact concentric running of the inserted drilling tool. <IMAGE>

Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention is based on a tool holder according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a tool holder, which can be coupled as an attachment with a rotary hammer, is known from DE-PS 36 37 354. In this case, only the striking movement is transmitted to the tool holder. Rotary drilling is therefore not possible with this tool holder. The tool holders for grooved shank tools attached to rotary hammers are also not suitable for precise rotary drilling due to the wear on the mounting holes during hard impact operations. Because of the poor concentricity, the quality of holes, for example in metal, is mostly unsatisfactory.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

Zusatzhandgriff anbringen. The tool holder according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that exact round bores can be made with a hammer drill even when the tool holder is knocked out. For this purpose, the transmission of the hammer action is suppressed and the tool holder is attached to the clamping neck of the hammer drill. A drill chuck arranged in extension to the tool holder of the rotary hammer and connected to the rotary drive of the hammer, in particular a three-jaw chuck, ensures exact concentricity of the drilling tool used. The mounting of the shaft of the tool holder corresponding to a drilling spindle via two spaced roller bearings further contributes to a quiet and exact concentricity of the drill chuck. The shaft sits with play in the tool holder of the rotary hammer, so that concentricity inaccuracies are compensated for. The tool holder is quick and easy to assemble and disassemble. On the clamping neck of the tool holder, which has the same diameter as that of the rotary hammer, all usual additional devices such as Attach the additional handle.

Zeichnungdrawing

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. The figure shows a longitudinal section through a hammer drill with a tool holder attached.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

Only the front part of a rotary hammer, which is accommodated in a housing 2, is shown, which shows a striking mechanism 3 and a tool holder 4. The percussion mechanism 3, which is known per se, essentially consists of a rotary wobble finger 5 which drives a piston 6 back and forth. In the cup-shaped piston 6 there is a striker 7 which is accelerated forward by an air cushion formed between the piston and the striker in the direction of the tool holder 4. The striker 7 strikes another striking body, a striker 8. The striker 8 projects into the tool holder 4 and strikes the end of the shaft when the tool is inserted into the tool holder 4.

The tool holder 4 has a receiving bore 10 in which two axially extending rotary driving bars 11 are arranged opposite one another. Otherwise, the tool holder corresponds to that from DE-PS 36 37 354. In particular, it also has spring-loaded locking body 12.

A clamping neck 14 is arranged on the tool holder 4 on the housing 2 of the hammer drill. A tool holder 15 with its push-on part 16 made of plastic is placed on the clamping neck 14. The plug-on part 16, like the tool holder according to DE-PS 36 37 354, has a slot 17 and can be firmly clamped onto the clamping neck 14 by means of a clamping screw, not shown, reaching through a bore 18. Within the plug-on part 16, two roller bearings 20, 21 are arranged at a distance from one another in the area in front of the tool holder 4. The distance between the roller bearings 20, 21 is determined by a spacer sleeve 22. A shaft 24 is mounted in the roller bearings 20, 21 and engages with one end 25 in the tool holder 4. At the end 25, the shaft 24 has, as a means for rotational driving, two opposite rotational driving grooves 26, in which the rotary driving bars 11 engage. Otherwise, the shaft end 25 has a cylindrical cross section, so that in particular the locking bodies 12 do not engage in the shaft end 25. The shaft end 25 is only so far in the tool holder 4 that it can no longer be reached by the striker 8 in its foremost position. At its opposite end, the shaft 24 carries a thread 27 onto which a commercially available drill chuck is screwed. The drill chuck 28 can in particular be designed as a three-jaw chuck into which drilling tools can be clamped exactly centrally. A clamping neck 29 is formed on the plug-on part 16 of the tool holder 15 in the area of the roller bearings 20, 21, and its diameter corresponds to that of the clamping neck 14 of the rotary hammer.

The tool holder 15 transmits the rotary movement of the tool holder 4 of the hammer drill mers via the rotary driving bars 11 and the rotary driving grooves 26 on the shaft 24 and further on the drill chuck 28. The striking movement of the striking mechanism 3 is not transmitted to the tool holder 15. The tool holder 15 is axially fixed on the clamping neck 14 of the hammer drill. Any wear on the receiving bore 10 has no effect on the concentricity of the drill chuck 28, since the shaft 24 sits in the receiving bore 10 with play. This is achieved in that the shaft end 25 has a slightly smaller diameter than the tool shanks usually used in the tool holder 4. The concentricity of the drill chuck 28 is rather ensured by the tight fit of the plug-on part 16 on the clamping neck 14 of the hammer drill.

The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown. In particular, the means for rotary driving as different, e.g. B. not diametrically opposed but otherwise associated grooves or formed as strips.
