Definitions
- the invention relates to a storage and stacking device according to the preamble of the main claim.
- Storage and stacking devices that are used to store and stack a wide variety of parts, e.g. Letters, newspapers, magazines, leaflets, cards, film bags and the like are used are known. They are mainly used in Swiss Post distribution and sorting systems and similar operations. The known letter sorting and distribution systems are very limited in the range of those items that can be processed by them. A large part of the mail items found today in the postal service is classified as "not machine-compatible" because there are no distribution systems for these types of mail. Problems lie in separating, sorting, transporting and stacking a wide variety of shipments.
- a device for stacking and storing mail items is known from JP-PS 57-48557. It consists of a continuous endless belt, on which individual compartments are arranged, into which letters or the like are inserted by means of a suitable feed device. These pieces are placed on a stack carrier, which is arranged below the feed device. A stack counter-holder is located on this stack carrier. The mail items are fed into the compartments by means of the feed device. So that they do not fall over and are guided correctly, the letter must be guided through an insertion device, since otherwise there is a risk that the letter will either fall out of the compartment or on the belt or between the belt and the compartment wedged or falling forward.
- a roller which ensures that the letters or the mail pieces are placed vertically by the appropriate course of the tape. Only with this vertical position is it possible that the mail pieces are first fed vertically to the stack to be formed. The letters are delivered to the stack so that the compartment penetrates the stack carrier. However, so that it does not cut open the already stacked mail pieces, the stack counter-holder must move back so that the entire stack can be moved through the moving compartment and through the incoming mail pieces so that the compartment has enough space to penetrate through the stack carrier. This leads to the fact that the already existing stack located on the stack carrier can fall back or is so unstable that the individual mail items move against one another and against the counter-holder as well as against the further incoming mail items.
- JP-PS 57-48557 can therefore only be used to a limited extent.
- the object of the present invention is to design a generic storage and stacking device in such a way that it is possible to form a proper stack from mail pieces which differ both in size and in their spatial extent, the stack itself during the Stacking process remains stable, ie falling, slipping or twisting of individual parts is excluded.
- the construction according to the invention ensures that the parts located in the compartments are combed out of the latter during the relative movement between the stack carrier and the compartments and transferred positively to the stack.
- the device according to the invention is not just a simple depositing device for mail pieces, but rather a device which guides the mail pieces at any time during the stacking process and in which the formation of the stack can be checked at any time during the stacking process.
- the mail pieces that have been placed are guided in a form-fitting manner and are supported on three sides at any time during the stacking process; on the front through the compartments, on the bottom through the stack carrier and on the back through the counter-holder that is always in positive engagement with the stack.
- a further advantage of the device according to the invention is realized, namely that none of the mail pieces or parts that have been put in can get caught in the compartment, regardless of the size of the mail piece that is mailed, since the mail pieces are "combed out” .
- the device according to the invention is therefore suitable for different sizes of mail pieces.
- the formation of a proper stack is possible with almost all types of mail items.
- the parts according to the invention are forced out, ie no part can get caught in the compartment. Because the stack is always supported from three sides, no parts can fall out and parts of different sizes can also be stacked on a stack.
- the station does not have to be blocked during the removal of the stack from the stack carrier, but the storage process can be continued, at least until the compartments between the insertion and removal point are full are.
- the parts are dispensed from the compartments onto the stack carrier such that they first touch the stack carrier with their lower side. This also aligns parts that are twisted in the compartment.
- the stack carrier represents the reference plane for aligning the parts.
- the connecting element For particularly fast storage processes or for storage and stacking processes with a high throughput, it can be particularly advantageous to design the connecting element as a conveyor.
- the combs of the compartments are then arranged on this.
- the parts 1 to be stacked are in compartments 2, which are formed from combs 3 and a connecting element 4.
- the compartments are filled by known techniques, e.g. Belt conveyor possible.
- the following functional principle results: For stacking, the compartments 2 and the stack carrier 5, which is also comb-shaped, are moved relative to one another. Compartments 2 and stack carrier 5 are arranged so that they comb through each other. In this process, the parts 1 are combed out of the compartments 2 and one part after the other is conveyed onto the stack 6 being formed.
- the stack 6 is constantly supported on three sides by the stack carrier 5, by the movable counter-holder 7 and by the combs 3.
- the process is independent of the type, size and weight of parts 1 in compartments 2.
- the following functional principle of the storage and stacking device results:
- the parts 1 are conveyed by one or more conveyors 9 into the compartments 2 of the storage and stacking device.
- the storage and stacking device is shown in this figure as a rotating conveyor.
- the connecting element 4 is designed as a chain, on the links of which the combs 3 are attached.
- the guide rail 8 prevents the solution that the parts 1 slip into the chain 4.
- the stack carrier 5 By rotating the chain 4, the stack carrier 5 combs through the compartments 2. If the stack carrier 5 is filled, it can be replaced while at the same time further parts are introduced into the compartments 2 by the conveyors 9.
- the stack carrier 5 can be designed as a container.
- the storage effect of the device shown is determined by the number of compartments 2, which are located between the conveyor 9 and the stack carrier 5, here designed as a container.
- cover strips 10 which prevent the parts 1 from slipping out when conveying overhead, parts can be temporarily stored in all compartments 2 of the storage and stacking device.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a storage and stacking device according to the preamble of the main claim.
Storage and stacking devices that are used to store and stack a wide variety of parts, e.g.
A device for stacking and storing mail items is known from JP-PS 57-48557. It is necessary that a roller is provided, which ensures that the letters or the mail pieces are placed vertically by the appropriate course of the tape. This shift can take place laterally as well as forwards or backwards. Another disadvantage is that through an opening that corresponds to the size of the compartment, smaller pieces of mail can fall through. The device disclosed in JP-PS 57-48557 can therefore only be used to a limited extent.
The object of the present invention is to design a generic storage and stacking device in such a way that it is possible to form a proper stack from mail pieces which differ both in size and in their spatial extent, the stack itself during the Stacking process remains stable, ie falling, slipping or twisting of individual parts is excluded.
This object is achieved by the invention specified in the main claim.
The construction according to the invention ensures that the parts located in the compartments are combed out of the latter during the relative movement between the stack carrier and the compartments and transferred positively to the stack. The device according to the invention is not just a simple depositing device for mail pieces, but rather a device which guides the mail pieces at any time during the stacking process and in which the formation of the stack can be checked at any time during the stacking process. According to the invention, the mail pieces that have been placed are guided in a form-fitting manner and are supported on three sides at any time during the stacking process; on the front through the compartments, on the bottom through the stack carrier and on the back through the counter-holder that is always in positive engagement with the stack. Due to the comb-like design of the compartments and the stack carrier, a further advantage of the device according to the invention is realized, namely that none of the mail pieces or parts that have been put in can get caught in the compartment, regardless of the size of the mail piece that is mailed, since the mail pieces are "combed out" . The device according to the invention is therefore suitable for different sizes of mail pieces. The formation of a proper stack is possible with almost all types of mail items. Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous that the parts according to the invention are forced out, ie no part can get caught in the compartment. Because the stack is always supported from three sides, no parts can fall out and parts of different sizes can also be stacked on a stack. Furthermore, it is advantageous that the station does not have to be blocked during the removal of the stack from the stack carrier, but the storage process can be continued, at least until the compartments between the insertion and removal point are full are.
By attaching additional elements, you can save until all compartments are full.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the parts are dispensed from the compartments onto the stack carrier such that they first touch the stack carrier with their lower side. This also aligns parts that are twisted in the compartment. The stack carrier represents the reference plane for aligning the parts.
For particularly fast storage processes or for storage and stacking processes with a high throughput, it can be particularly advantageous to design the connecting element as a conveyor. The combs of the compartments are then arranged on this.
- Fig. 1: Eine schematische Darstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Speicher- und Stapeleinrichtung.
- Fig. 1: A schematic representation of the storage and stacking device according to the invention.
- Fig. 2: A spatial representation of the penetration of the combs with the stack comb combs.
- Fig. 3: A schematic representation of another embodiment of the stacking and storage device.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the
According to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 3, the following functional principle of the storage and stacking device results: The
