Abstract

PURPOSE: To accumulate postal matters orderly without bending by providing a means to draw in postal matters conveyed by a conveyor route separately from the conveyor route.
CONSTITUTION: A postal matter 13 conveyed between a pair of endless belts 15 and 16 is drawn into a bottom receiving board 6 by a blade belt 22 provided with a number of blades 23a, 23b.... The end of a postal matter 24 sent out along a guide 14 is struck by the operation of photoelectric conversion detectors 10a, 10b, and a switchback device 12. Then, postal matters are orderly accumulated between the blade 23e and the belt 22 as postal matters 25a and 25b show. When they reach the receiving board 6, the blade 23e is drawn off, and they are accumulated by the succeeding blade 23d as a postal matter 26 shows.
