Darüber hinaus soll die Markierung gegen Umwelteinflüsse geschützt sein und eine den Draht umgebende geschlossene Tülle darstellen. Ferner soll die Markierung nachträglich - nach Anschließen des Drahtes und ohne diesen lösen zu müssen - anzubringen sein. - Hier setzt die Erfindung ein.Marking wires and cables on site is a constant problem. Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe umfaßt das Applikationsgerät bzw. die Applikationspistole gemäß Anspruch 1 folgende Merkmale
- ein Folienmagazin für ein Druckfolienband und ein Schutzfolienband,
- von einem Antriebsmotor gegenläufig angetriebene Transportwalzen zum Transportieren und Zusammenführen bzw. Aufeinanderdrücken von Druckfolienband und Schutzfolienband,
- einen Drucker mit einem Druckkopf zum Bedrucken des Druckfolienbandes vor dem Aufdrücken des Schutzfolienbandes und mit einer Steuerung für den Druckkopf,
- einen dem Drucker nachgeordneten Arbeitskopf mit einer Folien- und Drahtaufnahme für das bedruckte Druckfolienband und das aufgedrückte Schutzfolienband sowie für den zu markierenden Draht,
- ein Schneidwerkzeug zum Abtrennen eines bedruckten Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnittes zwischen den Transportwalzen und der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme,
- einen Drahtgreifer zum Einlegen des zu markierenden Drahtes in die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme und auf das darin befindliche Druck- und Schutzfolienband,
- beidseitig und quer zur Längsrichtung der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme einschwenkbare Klemmzangen zum vollständigen Umhüllen des Drahtes mit dem bedruckten Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnitt, und
- einen Schneid- und Schweißkopf zum Abschneiden des nach der Umhüllung gebildeten Druck- und Schutzfolienbandüberstandes und zum Verschweißen der auf Umhüllungsmaß geschnittenen Druck- und Schutzfolienränder.

Druckfolienband meint im Rahmen der Erfindung ein zum Aufdrucken der von Markierungen geeignetes Folienband. Anschließend wird der zu markierende Draht in die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme eingelegt. Es erfolgt dann das Umhüllen des Drahtes mit Hilfe der Klemmzangen, welche die zunächst noch hochstehenden Folienränder umlegen, so daß der Draht schließlich vollständig von dem Druck- und Schutzfolienband umhüllt ist. Zur Bildung einer geschlossenen Tülle erfolgt ein Beschneiden und Verschweißen der Folienbandränder, nachdem zuvor der in der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme einliegende Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnitt unter Bildung der eigentlichen Markierung von dem Druck- und Schutzfolienband abgetrennt worden ist. Weitere erfindungswesentliche Merkmale sind im folgenden aufgeführt. So kann das Folienmagazin eine Rolle oder Kartusche mit Druckfolienband und eine Rolle oder Kartusche mit Schutzfolienband aufweisen. Die Transportwalzen sind vorzugsweise als Nadelwalzen ausgebildet und von einem Schrittmotor angetrieben, der also im Zuge des Bedruckens des Druckfolienbandes nicht transportiert. Der Druckkopf kann mit einem Farbband ausgerüstet sein. Die Steuerung für den Druckkopf steuert erfindungsgemäß zugleich den Vorschub von dem Druckfolienband und dem Schutzfolienband. Der Arbeitskopf weist zweckmäßigerweise ein Lagergehäuse mit dem Schneidwerkzeug auf, welches ortsfest und quer zur Folientransportrichtung angeordnet ist. Das Schneidwerkzeug kann als Messer oder elektrisch beheizter Schneiddraht ausgebildet sein, der auf der einen Gehäuseseite mittels einer Spannfeder beaufschlagt und auf der anderen Gehäuseseite an Masse angeschlossen ist. Das Abtrennen der Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnitte erfolgt durch eine Relativbewegung des Lagergehäuses zu der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme und folglich auch zu dem Druck- und Schutzfolienband. Bei Verwendung eines beheizten Schneiddrahtes erfolgt im Zuge des Schneidvorganges gleichzeitig ein Verschweißen von dem jeweiligen Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnitt. - Nach einem Vorschlag der Erfindung, dem selbständige Bedeutung zukommt, ist vorgesehen, daß in dem Lagergehäuse eine hochfahrbare Bodenplatte gelagert ist, daß auf der Bodenplatte die Klemmzangen mittels Stützhebel abgestützt sind, daß die Stützhebel um eine in Folientransportrichtung verlaufende Längsachse unterhalb der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme schwenkbar gelagert sind, daß die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme in einem im Lagergehäuse hochfahrbar geführten U-förmigen Lagerbett federelastisch abgestützt ist, daß das Lagerbett im Stegbereich die Längsachse für die schwenkbare Lagerung der Klemmzangen aufweist und relativ beweglich zur Bodenplatte gelagert ist, und daß bei auf dem U-Steg des Lagerbettes aufliegendem und von dem Drahtgreifer gehaltenem Draht sukzessive die Bodenplatte bis zum Einschwenken der Klemmzangen und das Lagerbett mit der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme unter Zug/Druck-Wirkung anhebbar sind, wobei die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme gegen den Draht angedrückt und mit dem Draht gegen Federwirkung bis zum vollständigen Schließen der den Draht übergreifenden Klemmzangen niedergedrückt wird. Die Klemmzangen schließen unter Mitnahme der Randbereiche von Druck- und Schutzfolienband, so daß bei geschlossenen Klemmzangen der betreffende Draht von dem Druck- und Schutzfolienband bzw. -abschnitt vollständig umhüllt ist. Durch die federnde Lagerung der Drahtaufnahme kann der Draht im Zuge des Schließens der Klemmzangen bzw. seiner Umhüllung nach unten ausweichen und ermöglicht dadurch das vollständige Schließen der Klemmzangen und zugleich ein Straffen des ihn umhüllenden Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnittes. Um ein vorzeitiges Einschwenken und Schließen der Klemmzangen zu vermeiden, sieht die Erfindung vor, daß die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme an ihren beiden Stirnseiten Rollen zur Abstützung der Klemmzangen bis kurz vor Erreichen ihrer eingeschwenkten Schließstellung aufweisen. Die U-Schenkel des Lagerbettes weisen zweckmäßigerweise seitliche Führungsrillen für das auf den U-Schenkeln aufliegende Schutzfolienband auf. - Der Drahtgreifer kann einen oder mehrere hirtenstabähnliche Haltestäbe - also mit hakenartigem Stabende - besitzen, die beidseitig des Lagergehäuses angeordnet oder Bestandteil des Lagergehäuses sind. Die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme ist zweckmäßigerweise als Lagerrinne ausgebildet und unter Zwischenschaltung von Federn auf dem U-Steg des Lagerbettes abgestützt. Die Klemmzangen weisen erfindungsgemäß V-förmig in die Stützhebel übergehende Wangenbügel mit Anlageflächen für die Rollen und beidseitig die Wangenbügel über die Länge der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme verbindende Zangenprofile auf, welche in geschlossenem Zustand einen V-förmigen Einschnitt bilden, in welchem der Schneid- und Schweißkopf über die Folienränder bewegt wird. Denn der Schneid- und Schweißkopf ist erfindungsgemäß auf dem Lagergehäuse in Folienbandlängsrichtung oberhalb der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme verfahrbar und an einer Leitstange geführt. Dadurch ist es möglich, in einem einzigen Arbeitsgang die überstehenden Folienbereiche abzuschneiden und die auf Umhüllungsmaß geschnittenen Druck- und Schutzfolienränder miteinander zu verschweißen. Anschließend wird der gesamte Arbeitskopf durch Federkraft wieder in seine Ausgangsstellung zurückgestellt. - Das erfindungsgemäße Applikationsgerät ist mit einem Rechner und Datenspeicher sowie einer selbständigen Stromversorgung ausgerüstet und im übrigen aber auch an das Stromnetz anschließbar. Insoweit ist auch eine Übernahme von Daten aus CAD-Systemen und externen Dateien möglich. In den Figuren ist ein Applikationsgerät 1 - bei dem es sich um eine Applikationspistole handeln kann - zum Markieren von Drähten 2 und Kabeln dargestellt. Dieses Applikationsgerät 1 weist ein Folienmagazin für ein Druckfolienband 3 und ein Schutzfolienband 4 auf. Ferner ist ein nicht dargestellter Antriebsmotor zum gegenläufigen Antrieb von Transportwalzen 5 vorgesehen. Diese Transportwalzen 5 transportieren das Druckfolienband 3 und das Schutzfolienband 4 und drücken das Schutzfolienband 4 nach dem Bedrucken des Druckfolienbandes 3 auf das Druckfolienband 3. Ferner ist ein Drucker mit einem Druckkopf 6 vorgesehen, der zum Bedrucken des Druckfolienbandes 3 vor dem Aufdrücken des Schutzfolienbandes 4 dient und mit einer nicht dargestellten Steuerung ausgerüstet ist. Dem Drucker ist ein Arbeitskopf 7 mit einer Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 für das bedruckte Druckfolienband 3 und das aufgedrückte Schutzfolienband 4 sowie für den zu markierenden Draht 2 nachgeordnet. Ein Schneidwerkzeug 9 dient zum Abtrennen eines bedruckten Druck- und Schutzfolienabschnittes. Dieses Schneidwerkzeug 9 ist zwischen den Transportwalzen 5 und der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 angeordnet. Ferner weist der Arbeitskopf 7 einen Drahtgreifer 10 zum Einlegen des zu markierenden Drahtes 2 in die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 und auf das darin befindliche Druck- und Schutzfolienband 3, 4 auf. Außerdem besitzt der Arbeitskopf 7 beidseitig und quer zur Längsrichtung der Folien-und Drahtaufnahme 8 einschwenkbare Klemmzangen 11. Diese Klemmzangen 11 sorgen für das vollständige Umhüllen des Drahtes 2 mit dem bedruckten Druck- und Schutzfolienband 3, 4 bzw. -abschnitt. Der Arbeitskopf 7 weist ein Lagergehäuse 16 mit dem Schneidwerkzeug 9 auf, welches ortsfest und quer zur Folientransportrichtung angeordnet ist. Nach dem Ausführungsbeispiel handelt es sich bei dem Schneidwerkzeug um einen elektrisch beheizten Schneiddraht 9, der auf der einen Gehäuseseite mittels einer Spannfeder 26 beaufschlagt und auf der anderen Gehäuseseite an Masse 27 angeschlossen ist. - In dem Lagergehäuse 16 ist eine hochfahrbare Bodenplatte 17 gelagert. Auf der Bodenplatte 17 sind die Klemmzangen 11 mittels Stützhebel 18 abgestützt. Die Stützhebel 18 sind um eine in Folientransportrichtung verlaufende Längsachse 19 unterhalb der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 schwenkbar gelagert. Die Folien-und Drahtaufnahme 8 ist in einem im Lagergehäuse 16 hochfahrbar geführten U-förmigen Lagerbett 20 federelastisch abgestützt. Das Lagerbett 20 weist im Stegbereich die Längsachse 19 für die schwenkbare Lagerung der Klemmzangen 11 auf und ist relativ beweglich zur Bodenplatte 17 gelagert. Bei auf dem Lagergehäuse 16 aufliegendem und von dem Drahtgreifer 10 gehaltenem Draht 2 sind sukzessive die Bodenplatte 17 bis zum Einschwenken der Klemmzangen 11 und das Lagerbett 20 mit der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 unter Zug/Druck-Wirkung anhebbar, wobei die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 gegen den Draht 2 angedrückt und mit dem Draht 2 gegen Federwirkung bis zum vollständigen Schließen der den Draht 2 übergreifenden Klemmzangen 11 niedergedrückt wird. Der Drahtgreifer 10 weist einen oder mehrere hirtenstabähnliche Haltestäbe auf, die beidseitig des Lagergehäuses 16 angeordnet oder als Bestandteil des Lagergehäuses 16 ausgebildet sind. Die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 ist als Lagerrinne ausgebildet und unter Zwischenschaltung von Federn 21 auf dem U-Steg des Lagerbettes 20 abgestützt. Die U-Schenkel 28 des Lagerbettes 20 weisen seitliche Führungsrillen 29 für das auf den U-Schenkeln 28 aufliegende Schutzfolienband 4 bzw. den entsprechenden Schutzfolienbandabschnitt mit Druckfolienbandabschnitt auf. Ferner weist die Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 an ihren beiden Stirnseiten Rollen 30 zur Abstützung der Klemmzangen 11 bis kurz vor Erreichen ihrer eingeschwenkten Schließstellung auf. Die Rollen 30 verhindern folglich ein frühzeitiges Einschwenken der Klemmzangen 11 und geben diese praktisch erst kurz vor dem Schließvorgang frei. Die Klemmzangen 11 besitzen V-förmig in die Stützhebel 18 übergehende Wangenbügel 31 mit Anlageflächen 32 für die Rollen 30 und beidseitig die Wangenbügel 31 über die Länge der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 verbindende Zangenprofile 33, welche in geschlossenem Zustand einen V-förmigen Einschnitt 22 für den Schneid- und Schweißkopf 12 bilden. Der Schneid- und Schweißkopf 12 ist auf dem Lagergehäuse 16 in Folienbandlängsrichtung oberhalb der Folien- und Drahtaufnahme 8 verfahrbar und an einer Leitstange 23 geführt. Claims (15)
- An applicator unit, particularly an applicator gun, for marking wires and cables, comprising- a foil magazine for a printing foil strip (3) and a protective foil strip (4),- conveying rolls (5) driven in counter-rotation by a drive motor, for conveying and bringing together the printing foil strip (3) and the protective foil strip (4),- a printer with a print head (6) for printing the printing foil strip (3) before pressing on the protective foil strip (4), and with a control system for the print head (6),- a working head (7) disposed downstream of the printer with a foil and wire receiver (8) for the printed printing foil strip (3) and the pressed-on protective foil strip (4) and for the wire (2) to be marked,- a cutting tool (9) for severing a printed printing- and protective foil section between the conveying rolls (5) and the foil and wire receiver (8),- a wire gripper (10) for placing the wire (2) to be marked in the foil- and wire receiver (8) and on the printing- and protective foil strip (3, 4) located therein,- clamping grips (11) which can be swung in on both sides of the foil and wire receiver (8) transversely to the longitudinal direction of the latter, for completely coating the wire (2) with the printed printing- and protective foil section,- a cutting and welding head (12) for cutting off the excess length (13) of printing- and protective foil formed after coating and for welding the printing and protective foil edges cut to the size of the coating.
- An applicator unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the foil magazine has a roll (14) or cartridge with printing foil strip (3) and a roll (15) or cartridge with protective foil strip (4).
- An applicator unit according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the conveying rolls (4) are constructed as needle rolls and are driven by a stepper motor.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the print head (6) is equipped with an inking ribbon.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the control system for the print head (6) controls the advance of the printing foil strip (3) and of the protective foil strip (4).
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the working head (7) has a support housing (16) which supports the cutting tool (9) and which is disposed fixed and transverse to the foil conveying direction.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the cutting tool (9) is designed as a knife, or as an electrically heated wire which is acted upon by means of a tension spring (26) on one side of the housing and is connected to earth (27) on the other side of the housing.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that a raisable baseplate (17) is mounted in the support housing (16), that the clamping grips (11) are supported on the baseplate (17) by means of supporting levers (18), that the supporting levers (18) are pivotally mounted below the foil and wire receiver (8) about a longitudinal axis (19) running in the foil conveying direction, that the foil and wire receiver (8) is resiliently supported in a U-shaped support bed (20) which is guided so that it can be raised in the support housing (16), that the support bed (20) has the longitudinal axis (19) for the pivotal mounting of the clamping grips (11) in its web region and is mounted so that it can move in relation to the baseplate (17), and that with the wire (2) lying on the U-web of the support bed (20) and held by the wire gripper (10) the baseplate (17) and the support bed (20) with the foil and wire receiver (8) can be raised successively under the effect of tension/compression until the clamping grips (11) swing inwards, wherein the foil and wire receiver (8) is pressed against the wire (2) and is pressed downwards with the wire (2) against the spring force until the clamping grips (11) engaging over the wire (2) have completely closed.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the U-limbs (28) of the support bed (20) have lateral guide ribs (29) for the protective foil strip (4) lying on the U-limbs (28).
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the wire gripper (10) has one or more holding rods formed similarly to crooks which are disposed on both sides of the support housing (16) or are constructed as a component of the support housing (16).
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the foil and wire receiver (8) is constructed as a support channel and is supported on the U-web of the support bed (20) with springs (21) disposed therebetween.
- A applicator unit according to any on of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the foil and wire receiver (8) has rollers (30) at both its end faces for supporting the clamping grips (11) until shortly before they reach their swung-in closed position.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the clamping grips (11) have V-shaped bearer yokes (31) which extend into the support levers (18) and which have contact faces (32) for the rollers (30), and the bearer yokes (31) on both sides have gripper sections (33) engaging over the length of the foil and wire receiver (8), which gripper sections form a V-shaped indent (22) in their closed state.
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the cutting and welding head (12) can travel on the support housing (16) in the longitudinal direction of the foil strip above the foil and wire receiver (8) and is guided on a drag rod (23).
- An applicator unit according to any one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the unit (1) is equipped with a computer (24) and a memory and a separate power supply (25) and can be connected to the mains.
