Description

The invention relates to a stick winder, preferably to be used at night, for winding human hair, having a support body and a cylinder jacket-shaped stick body covering the circumference of the support body, which has outwardly protruding stick projections, the unit comprising the support body and stick body being elastic. An adhesive roller is understood to mean a hair roller which is handled without a clip, crossbar or other locking mechanism and in this respect only consists of an approximately round body. Characteristic of a adhesive winder are adhesive projections protruding outwards on the adhesive body, which are arranged similar to the Velcro of a felt tape / hook-and-loop fastener and come into direct contact with the hair, so that the adhesive winder does not have to be placed and held separately after the winding process, but by its Adhesive processes on the coiled curl intervenes and thus also stays in the intended place.

A stick winder of the type described in the opening paragraph is known from US-A-4,431,012. It has a support body which is designed in the manner of a cylinder jacket and consists, for example, of an elastic spring or, in another embodiment, of a plastic grid which is rigid and unyielding. An adhesive body is pushed and fixed over the support body, which is also cylindrical in shape and formed from a band-shaped strip. This adhesive body has radially projecting adhesive projections, which are provided with bends at their free ends, so that they attack the hair during a winding process and thus hold it. The unit consisting of support body and adhesive body has at least locally inherent flexibility and elastic deformability to adapt to the user's head. Such a curler is often worn in the hair overnight. Due to its limited deformability, it can adapt to the user's head, but it exerts an uncomfortable pressure when lying down, namely at the places where it is used.

Furthermore, from FR-A-1 248 464 a stick winder is known, the support body of which consists of a correspondingly rigid plastic grid. An adhesive body is assigned to this support body. Due to the relentless training, he puts uncomfortable pressure on the hair or head when lying down, which is perceived as correspondingly disadvantageous. Such a known adhesive roller can also be used and used only on dry hair or on damp hair. He himself has no capacity for a curl-promoting or stiffening liquid. It is therefore disadvantageously necessary to wet the hair in its entirety before individual sections of the hair are then wound onto such adhesive rollers. It is not possible to bring liquid specifically to the individual hair that forms the curl. Adhesive curlers next to each other in the hair easily get caught on one another and thus make it difficult to remove the curlers.

Another adhesive winder of the type described at the outset is known, the support body of which is likewise in the form of a cylindrical jacket as a plastic injection-molded part. This support body has a slight elasticity. When lying down, this adhesive winder also causes pressure marks on the head and is perceived as disturbing. Since the support body is also hollow on the inside, this adhesive winder cannot absorb any liquid either.

From EP-A1-0 115 665 a winder is known which is used in connection with a steam generator. It has a hollow core that is permeable to steam, onto which a cylindrical jacket-shaped section made of polymer plastic foam is pushed. This section of plastic foam is very porous and flexible. It serves as a distributor to distribute the steam in all directions relative to the coiled hair. Finally, the winder also includes a closure device, for example in the form of a clip or an approximately semi-cylindrical cap, which engages over the curl wound on the section of plastic foam.

A similar winder, which is also not a stick winder, is known from AU-B-40 717/85. Here, too, a rigid cylindrical core made of plastic foam is pushed over a rigid core, which is surrounded on the outside by a hollow cylindrical shell body, which has openings, but otherwise consists of liquid-tight plastic material. Finally, this winder also has a locking mechanism in the form of a half-shell. Here, too, a hard, largely unyielding unit of the winder is created, which causes pressure points on the head when lying down and is felt to be uncomfortable. The section made of plastic foam, which is drawn onto the solid core, serves to distribute the steam.

The invention has for its object to provide a stick winder of the type described above, with the targeted and to the extent desired curling fluid can be brought to the hair forming the curl.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that a cylinder section made of foamed plastic as the support body is provided, which is designed so narrow-pored that it is capable of absorbing liquid and sponge-like express, and that the unit of support body and adhesive body is soft and resilient.

The invention is based on the finding that permanent curl formation depends to a large extent on the use of liquids which assist curl formation and are often referred to as hair setting agents. Of course, as before, it is also possible to dampen all of the hair before winding it up, in order to then wind individual damp hair strands onto a hair curler. On the one hand, a larger amount of liquid is used than would be required individually for the individual curls. The design according to the invention now allows the hair to be allowed to dry and only to moisten the support body and to wind up the dry hair over such a moist support body or adhesive winder with adhesive body, so that the liquid is then transferred specifically to the location and only to the location that which should form a single curl. The scalp and the other areas of the hair, which are not covered by a stick winder, remain dry. In addition to the advantage of the targeted local distribution, there is also the advantage of the quantity-adjusted individual distribution. The support body wetted with liquid can be expressed in a sponge-like manner, the amount of liquid remaining in the support body being individually determined and determined depending on the degree of compression. It is thus also possible to keep some curls moist and other curls drier when treating a single head, so that there are locally different solidifying effects. Above all, however, the scalp remains dry, which is felt to be extremely pleasant.

In the new adhesive winder, the unit comprising the support body and the adhesive body is flexible, so that there are no pressure points on the head even when lying flat, for example overnight. As a result of the flexibility, these new adhesive wrappers are also not considered to be annoying. The new adhesive winder can also be used advantageously very easy and inexpensive to produce, as is required for a mass article. It can even be cut into smaller pieces with scissors or another cutting instrument, as can be advantageous for small, narrow curls. In addition to its advantageous moist application, the new adhesive roller is also suitable for dry use, although there is less curling strength. However, it can be handled easily and safely in both cases.

The support body can in particular consist of polyether foam. Other plastics are also suitable. It only has to be such a foam material which on the one hand can absorb liquid and on the other hand can be sponge-like expressed so that the desired amount of residual liquid can be determined before the hair strand in question is wound up.

The resilient support body is advantageously inserted into the adhesive body, fills its free cross section and is held by adhesive forces. There is therefore no need for a separate connection between the support body and the adhesive body. The hair curler can be inexpensively manufactured in its individual parts and also relatively easy to assemble. The support body can be held under tension in the adhesive body, so that a cohesive unit that cannot be lost under normal stress is created.

As adhesive extensions, the adhesive body preferably has cut loops which protrude radially outward and, with their ends or bends, produce the required hold on the wound strand of hair.

The support body and the adhesive body can have substantially the same axial length, the adhesive body expediently without peripheral strips on both ends Has appendage processes. The actual adhesive processes are thus slightly set back from the ends. This has the advantage that adhesive wrappers are attached adjacent to the head get caught in each other comparatively little and can also be easily solved again.

The support body expediently fills the entire cross section of the adhesive body, ie it is designed as a full cylinder cross section. But it is also possible that the support body is provided with axially continuous openings, wherein one or more openings can be used. In such a case, the air permeability is favored and the drying time is shortened, in particular also in connection with a blow-drying process. Conversely, the absorption capacity of liquid is greatest when using a full cross section.

The adhesive winder 1 shown in FIG. 1 has a support body 2 and an adhesive body 3, as shown again in individual representations in FIGS. 2 and 3, respectively are made clear. The support body 2 consists of a cylinder section made of foamed plastic, so it has a full cross section. Polyether foam in particular can be used as the foamed plastic. The foamed plastic of the support body 2 must be designed and adjusted so that it is on the one hand able to hold liquid like a sponge. On the other hand, it must be so soft and resilient that it can be expressed in the manner of a sponge in order to e.g. B. after a dip in liquid to express excess, unwanted liquid and only ensure a residual moisture content in this support body 2. The plastic material of the support body 2 is in any case flexible, soft and flexible.

The adhesive body 3 generally consists of a band section designed according to the circumference in its length, which is connected to one another with an overlap 4 along a surface line of the cylinder. The adhesive body 3 is designed in the manner of a woven or knitted fabric and is permeable to liquids. It has radially outwardly protruding adhesive projections 5, which can be designed as cut loops and extend several times in the radial direction compared to the thickness of the strip material which was formed into the cylinder jacket. As is shown in FIG. 1, the adhesive processes 5 can be arranged next to one another in circumferential strips. It is also possible to use a continuous screw line for the arrangement of the adhesive extensions 5. The diameter of the support body 2 and the adhesive body 3 are coordinated with one another in such a way that the support body 2 can be pushed into the adhesive body, the free cross section of which is appropriately filled and held by adhesive forces. The support body 2 can already be slightly compressed, so that there is a slight tension between the parts, which favors the roundness of the adhesive winder. The Foamed plastic material of the support body in any case has a resilience, which becomes particularly clear when such a stick winder 1 is squeezed flat, for example in the manner of a sponge, after it has previously been immersed in a liquid, for example a hair fixative.

A plurality of axially continuous openings 7 (FIG. 4) or a common continuous opening 8 (FIG. 5) can be provided. From these openings 7, 8, air channels are formed through which the air can pass, in particular during a blow-drying process, so that the drying process is promoted and accelerated. However, if the support body 2 is arranged with a full cross section, the drying process, at least for the most part, can only take place externally or externally, so that the hair is preferably dried and, in so far, a subsequent supply of moisture from inside the support body Towards the hair, which is also desirable.

Figur 6 verdeutlicht auch, daß die Haftfortsätze 5 in Streifen 6 abständig zueinander angeordnet sind.FIG. 6 shows the surface of the adhesive body in a greatly enlarged representation following an edge region 8 which is kept free of adhesive processes 5. As can be seen, the material of the adhesive body 3 is an openwork fabric, which can consist of monofilament plastic material. From this fabric, the individual adhesive extensions 5 are guided radially outwards in the form of loops, which are then cut open to form individual, protruding parts. Depending on the point at which the cut is made on the loop, there are small bends and hooks, on which the adhesion of the adhesive winder essentially depends. Figure 6 also illustrates that the adhesive processes 5 in strips 6 are spaced apart.
