1,016,409. Hair curlers. A. M. JEFFERSON. Sept. 24, 1964, No. 38900/64. Heading A4V. A hair curler comprises a cylindrical body 10 of resilient foam material having axial bores 13 arranged circumferentially near the outer surface 11 and opening in the end surfaces 12 to receive, selectively, one leg of a hair-retaining clip 14. The body is preferably of a porous resilient synthetic foam material such as polyurethane having 20 pores per lineal inch. The bores are spaced from the surface 11, and equally from each other, by a distance less than the diameter of the bores. The clip may be a conventional bob pin but is preferably one in which the arms are joined by a flexible part and normally spaced from each other.
