Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung entsprechend dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1. Eine solche Einrichtung ist bekannt aus der DE-A-34 17 487. Im Falle der dort in Figur 1 dargestellten Anordnung sind zwei Preßwalzen, die sich horizontal einander gegenüberstehen, dazu vorgesehen, in dem zwischen ihnen gebildeten Preßspalt die auf ihre Mantelfläche aufgetragene Beschichtungsmasse auf die Warenbahn zu übertragen. Als Auftragswerk dient hier jeweils eine Vorrichtung, die einen elastischen Rakelhalter trägt, wobei als Rakelelement eine mit Umfangsrillen versehene Rollrakel verwendet wird. Es ist mit dieser Einrichtung möglich, sehr geringe Auftragsmengen mit Auftragsmassen von sehr geringem Feststoffgehalt aufzutragen. Die Auftragsmengen können pro Seite der Warenbahn 2 bis 3 g/m² betragen. Dazu ist weiter ein schwenkbares Traggestell für eine oberhalb der oberen Walze angeordnete Umlenkrolle vorgesehen. Weitere Umlenkrollen führen die Bahn in den Keller unterhalb der Bedienerebene der unteren Walze für den Fall, daß die Bahn den Preßspalt zwischen den beiden Walzen nicht durchlaufen muß. Dieser Fall gilt für die Beschichtungsvariante, wenn das Düsenauftragswerk der unteren Walze zum Einsatz kommt. In diesem Fall werden Streichmassen aufgetragen - im allgemeinen mit einem Strichgewicht von mehr als 7 g/m². Claims (4)

  1. Device for applying at least one coating onto a moving web, especially of paper or cardboard, the device having the following features:
    a) two rolls (1, 2) are provided one above another,
    b) on the first side of the lower roll (1) a nozzle applicator device (5) for applying a coating mass of more than 5 g/m² directly onto the one side of the web is provided, and
    b1) on the other side of the lower roll (1) there is a wiper element (15) having an elastic wiper holder, adjoining them a basin (16) of a second coating mass for application of same onto the roll face, which mass is then applied onto the second side of the web,
    c) on the same side of the upper roll (2) as the first side of the lower roll (1) provided with the nozzle applicator device (5), there is a further wiper element (18) and its elastic wiper holder (18), adjoining which a second basin (19) of flowable coating mass for application of same onto the roll face can be formed, the web then being guided through the pressing gap then formed between the two rolls (1, 2) and the coating mass being transferred onto each side of the web in a second web guidance mode,
    d) a mounting that can be lowered is provided for one of the two rolls for making and adjusting the pressing gap between the two rolls (1, 2), and
    e) for the purpose of making possible both web guidance modes, at least a part (36) of the operator platform for the applicator device (18, 19) of the upper roll (2) can be pivoted away, as also can an upwardly situated guide roll (32) mounted on pivot arms (34), this upper guide roll (32) serving for guiding the web out of the region of the upper roll (2) and above it.
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized by web guide rolls (27, 28, 29) in the basement - that is underneath the operator level (A) of the applicator devices (5, 6) of the counter-roll (1) - for guiding the web to the counter-roll (1) and to the nozzle applicator device (5) of same from below (basement) on the side of the counter-roll (1) which possesses the applicator device (6) having the basin (16).
  3. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 2, characterized in that the wiper element of the applicator devices (5, 6, 7) is a roller wiper having circumferential grooves for a low application weight per unit area with consistencies of the application mass of at most 50%.
  4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the first side of the counter-roll (1) is that side at which the web is conducted away out of the papermaking machine.
