Definitions

  • the invention relates to a retractable pivot lever lock provided with a lock device, such as a cylinder lock, for mounting in a thin wall or door leaf, preferably in two rectangular openings in the thin wall or door leaf, and preferably in the canting space of a sheet metal cabinet door, consisting of a base plate which can be placed on the thin wall or door leaf, which has a front recess for the recessed reception of a hand lever, the hand lever being pivotably mounted on an actuating shaft penetrating the thin wall or door leaf and the base plate for the actuator of the closure and being pivotable about a pivot axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the actuating shaft and the hand lever by means of the lock device can be locked and released in the recessed position in the trough.
  • a lock device such as a cylinder lock
  • a pivot lever lock of the type mentioned above is already known from EP 0 261 266 A1.
  • DE 34 07 700 A1 also shows a swivel lever lock, but in this the lock device is not arranged in the hand lever, but in the base plate.
  • the power plant could expediently work in numerous switch cabinets, which can also be at different customers, with cylinders, all of which can be opened with a single key.
  • the customer in turn, can provide the control cabinets in his area with uniform or different cylinders that can be operated with his own general key, or with different keys that are assigned to the respective operating personnel.
  • Rod locks for two profile cylinders are described in a Steinbach & Vollmann catalog, mentioning that such a special lock can optionally be locked by one or two cylinders.
  • the rod lock is intended for doors in which the actuation is required by two different cylinder keys.
  • the catalog also contains a bolt lock with two cylinders for similar purposes, as well as one Mortise lock, which also works with two cylinders.
  • mortise lock No. 651 / 2E748 which is intended for high-voltage systems with an emergency release device, it is mentioned that this lock can be opened from the inside, even if locked, by a handle, from the outside only with a key.
  • the lock can optionally be closed by one of the two cylinders, one cylinder for the owner of the switchgear and one cylinder for the energy supply, in each case in an existing or to be created locking system.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a pivot lever lock of the type mentioned in that it with Several, preferably two, lock devices, in particular cylinder locks, can be equipped without the other advantages of a swivel lever lock having to suffer significant drawbacks, such as the ability to be brought into the canting space of sheet metal cabinet doors if required, simple assembly, simple manufacture of gas tightness.
  • the locking bar has a U-profile in cross section, and the bar is held axially displaceably on the pivot lever with the bar sides forming the legs of the U-profile.
  • This construction is particularly stable and also enables an axially symmetrical arrangement in a simple manner. so that the lock can be used both right and left in a simple manner.
  • both sides of the bar are provided with openings into which the Thumbs of the two lock devices can intervene.
  • This measure allows an even greater compactness and enables accommodation in a pivoting lever which is suitable for a series of locks which can be mounted in the canting space of conventional sheet metal cabinet doors in two correspondingly shaped openings arranged one above the other.
  • the lock devices are not arranged one behind the other, but next to one another with respect to the swivel lever longitudinal axis, and the one lock device with your thumb in an opening in the one strip side and the other lock device engages with your thumb in an opening in the other side of the bar.
  • the lock devices are arranged one behind the other with respect to the pivot lever longitudinal axis and the one lock device engages with a thumb in a first opening in one strip side and the second lock device with its thumb in a second opening in this one strip side.
  • the bar in the form of an elongated box, one narrow side of which, preferably the narrow side facing the free end of the hand lever, has a contact edge or contact nose for engaging behind a solid part of the recess or a door leaf rear surface.
  • the box can have an attachment for receiving a compression spring, such as a spiral spring, which is supported with its other end on a non-displaceable part (pivot lever body) of the pivot lever.
  • a compression spring such as a spiral spring
  • the box can have one or more further openings to enable the insertion or removal of fastening screws which hold the locking devices in the lever base body.
  • the side walls can have one or more longitudinal slots near their free leg ends for receiving the end of a guide pin, which is held in the lever base body. This forms a particularly good guide for the locking bar.
  • the box can also have a reinforcing transverse wall between the two thumb openings.
  • the lever base body can have an opening adapted to the contour thereof, extending from the lever front surface to the rear, for inserting the lock device either from the front or from the rear, advantageously projecting from the back surface, which comprise the lock device in the area in which it is located has its fastening thread opening.
  • the compactness of the arrangement is used if the projections cover both thread opening sides and if one cover has a first opening for a fastening screw and the other cover has a second opening for a fastening screw in each case for a locking device
  • the two openings are arranged radially offset from one another, it is possible to selectively mount and fasten different standard cylinders as lock devices (e.g. on the one hand a cylinder with a length of 40 mm, on the other hand a cylinder with a length of 45 or 47 mm) .
  • the front surface can be pivoted in front of a cover, which covers the lock devices and thus protects against dust and rain.
  • the cover can also have depressions for receiving locking devices projecting over the front surface.
  • the overall length of the entire arrangement will remain relatively short.
  • the greater weight of the hand lever may be disadvantageous due to the presence of the two (or more) lock devices at the end of the hand lever. It can also be troublesome to insert the two keys in the hand lever, to actuate them and then to pivot the hand lever with these keys. Therefore, an embodiment is also conceivable in which the two (or more) lock devices are not accommodated in the hand lever, but in the base plate, which increases the overall length but relieves the hand lever of the presence of the lock devices. For the rest, however, the construction is to be designed entirely analogously.
  • a pivot lever lock could also be designed such that a second lock device, such as a second cylinder lock, is arranged in the base plate near the free end of the hand lever in addition to the first lock device, such as a cylinder lock, the thumbs of the two Lock devices each engage in a common locking bar that locks the swivel lever in the lowered position and do so independently (e.g. against gravity or spring force) Slide this locking bar out of the locking position.
  • a second lock device such as a second cylinder lock
  • the base plate is preferably provided with two lugs which extend through the preferably two openings in the door leaf, one lug preferably being part of the lock case and the other lug either receiving the lock devices arranged in the end of the pivot lever forms, or even carries the lock facilities.
  • the attachment for the locking devices with a cap attachment which sealingly surrounds the part extending through the wall. The edge of the cap attachment can rest against the edge surface of the thin wall surrounding the opening and thereby clamp the wall between itself and the base plate.
  • the attachment can also have threaded bores for receiving fastening screws which press the cap against the wall or the attachment.
  • the openings will generally be of the same width but of different lengths, in particular the opening in which the cylinders are accommodated is provided with approximately twice the longitudinal extent as the second opening which is penetrated by the actuating shaft.
  • the swivel lever lock according to the invention is versatile and can supplement an existing program that uses a swivel lever lock with only one lock device.
  • FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a swivel lever lock 10 designed according to the invention, which is arranged in two rectangular openings (see FIG. 4) 12, 14 in a thin wall, such as door leaf 16 of a sheet metal cabinet door or plastic door, and consists of a base plate 18 Which base plate can be placed on the door leaf 16 and has a front recess 20 for the recessed reception of a hand lever 22, the hand lever 22 on one of the Door leaf 16 and the actuating shaft 24 penetrating the base plate 18 (only the axis line is shown here) for the actuator of a closure, not shown here, such as a rod closure, is mounted, this hand lever 22 in turn being pivotable perpendicular to the axis of rotation 24 of the actuating shaft (see pivot axis 26 , e.g. shown in Fig. 3).
  • the hand lever 22 can be actuated by means of lock devices, for example by means of cylinder keys 28, 30 in the recess 20 recessed position, which can be seen in Fig.
  • the base plate 20 has projections 32, 34 which extend through the openings 12, 14 and which expediently fit precisely in these openings and thereby center the base plate with respect to the door leaf.
  • One approach, which extends through the opening for the actuating shaft 24, can also be part of a lock case, as shown, for example, by EP 0 261 266 A1, while the other approach (34) has a receptacle for the free end of the pivot lever 22 and the cylinder locks 36, 38 arranged therein form as lock devices.
  • the base plate 18 is held in the door leaf or the thin wall 16 in that the lock case (not shown here) is placed on the extension 32 and / or a cover cap 40 is placed on the extension 34 , in turn, similar to the European patent publication mentioned, the door leaf 16 is centered between itself and the part of the base plate 18 resting on the door leaf.
  • a pivot lever lock of a similar type is shown, in which the cylinder locks 36, 38 are not housed in the pivot lever 122, but in the base plate 118, but with the cylinders (similar to that in FIG. 1 to 4 shown embodiment, there at least in the swung-in state) again through the second opening 114 not provided for the pivot axis 24 in the door leaf.
  • the second opening 114 required for the pivot lever lock is provided with a substantially longer axial extent, while the opening for the pivot lever actuating shaft 24, reference number 12, can have, for example, identical dimensions to the corresponding opening 12 according to FIG. 4.
  • the width of these openings 12, 14 and 114 is relatively narrow and can be adapted to the customary dimension of 25 mm for already known pivot lever locks, for example according to the European patent mentioned.
  • the longitudinal dimension for the opening 12 can also have the usual values, for example twice the width dimension (eg 50 mm). This makes these closures more universally applicable and also allows a relatively problem-free subsequent exchange of already existing closures, which for example only have a cylinder lock, by closures according to the invention with, for example, cylinder locks, for which purpose only the opening 14 or 114 would have to be enlarged with regard to its longitudinal extent.
  • the two cylinders 36, 38 are arranged in such a way that the thumbs, indicated schematically in Fig. 2 at 42 and 44, respectively, these two cylinders 36, 38 in a common locking bar 46 which locks the pivot lever 22 in the lowered position, see Fig. 2, engage and thereby (e.g. against the force of a spring or, if the hand lever is arranged substantially vertically with its longitudinal axis, possibly also against the force of gravity) independently pushes this locking bar 46 out of the locking position .
  • the direction of displacement is indicated by the arrow provided with the reference number 48 in FIG. 2, ie the locking bar 46 can be displaced by a certain amount in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the pivoting lever 22 against, for example, spring force, the rest position, for example, the one shown in FIG. drawn with solid lines is, while the position shifted against the spring force, for example releasing the pivot lever, is shown in FIG. 1 with dashed lines.
  • the locking bar 46 has a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile 50, so that this locking bar with the legs 52 of the U-profile forming bar sides on the pivot lever base 54 in its end region receiving the cylinder locks axially against the force of a spring 56 can be mounted displaceably by a dimension 58, the locking bar 52 being shown in broken lines in FIG. 13 in its unlocked position which is displaced against the force of the spring 56. From this unlocking position, the spring 56 automatically moves the locking bar into a position 58 (not shown here) to the right when the thumbs of the two cylinder locks no longer hold the locking bar 52 in the unlocked position.
  • the lock can be formed according to the embodiment shown here, see for example FIGS.
  • this contact surface can also be formed by part of the base plate 18, see for example the projection region designated by 66 in FIG. 8, which has the advantage that the locking function does not depend on whether the edge 64 of the opening 14 is correctly formed.
  • the inner surfaces of the legs 52 form an edge or a recess which matches a corresponding recess groove or edge in the side surface 68 which is aligned therewith
  • a construction is more favorable which, in addition to guiding the U-profile guide bar 46 in the axial direction with respect to the handle lever, also limits the displacement path and is also very space-saving, which is preferred in the applications envisaged here (installation in the canting space of control cabinet doors ) is of particular importance.
  • At least two, in this case even three axially extending slots 70 are provided in the locking bar 46 in the legs 52 at an axial distance from one another, while in the pivoting lever base 54 transverse openings 72 are provided at corresponding points, which penetrate into the Slots 70 of both legs of the U-profile of the locking bar 46 protrude and in this way on the one hand bring about an axial guidance and on the other hand determine the axial displacement path (reference number 58) caused by the length of the slots 70.
  • the two outer bores 72 are arranged in the area in which the insertion spaces 74 and 76 for the two cylinders 36, 38 run perpendicularly thereto, so that a split pin is to be provided here so that this Space for inserting the cylinder remains free and is not blocked by a pin running across this space.
  • enough wall thickness remains for the bore 72. in order to securely arrange this split pin or the two partial pins.
  • the middle opening designated by 72 'in FIG. 14
  • the openings 74, 76 for the cylinders are not detected and it is sufficient to insert a single pin, while in the third opening (72' ') again a split pin is required is.
  • the shape of the openings 74, 76 is adapted to the usual profile cylinder peripheral shape and therefore allows insertion commercially available cylinders, which are so-called half cylinders, ie cylinder locks that are operated from one side only with a key. These half cylinders are available in different standard sizes, the arrangement here being such that three different standard sizes can be installed. These standard sizes differ essentially in that the distance of the mounting hole from the cylinder front surface varies.
  • the insertion space 74 or 76 provided for inserting the cylinders each has a first transverse bore for a cylinder lock of a first standard size and a slightly offset transverse opening 82 for a cylinder of a different (smaller) standard size.
  • the dimensions are such that the two bores 82, 80 come very close, but they do not overlap, so that sufficient material is left around the fastening screw passed through these bores 80 and 82, respectively to give sufficient hold in the swivel lever base for the respective cylinder.
  • head depression areas 180 for the bore 80 or 182 for the bore 82 are also on different sides of the pivot lever base 54; according to FIG. 16, it is the side 84 for the depression 180 and for the depression 182 the side 86. If the two depressions 180, 182 were to be laid on the same side, these depressions would at least overlap strongly and would lead to an undesired weakening of the material.
  • the side surface 84, 86 is eliminated in the region of the thumb arrangement, so that a Free space 88 or 90 arises, which begins at a point 92, that is the point at which the thumb edge of a cylinder emerges from the smallest space size to be used here.
  • the space 88 or 90 then extends to the edge 94, which has the distance C from the front surface 78 of the swivel lever base 54, this distance can be chosen, for example, such that the cylinder profile fastened with the bore 80 fits exactly into the insertion space 76, this cylinder lock therefore has the length C.
  • a shorter standard cylinder is chosen, for example, such that the cylinder profile fastened with the bore 80 fits exactly into the insertion space 76, this cylinder lock therefore has the length C.
  • the thumb of these three cylinder types can be excluded on the left or right, depending on the design, and then breaks through the plane of the side surface 86.
  • the two U-legs of the locking bar are provided with openings 94 and 96, the extent of which perpendicular to the direction of movement of the locking bar is selected so that the thumb can pass through for all locks to be installed, and its extension in the direction of the locking bar movement is selected such that the circle 98, see FIG. 18, which the outer surface of the thumb describes during its pivoting movement, can be received by the breakthrough 94. The movement of the thumb is therefore not hindered by the side wall.
  • the thumb 92 of the cylinder 38 can engage a cam surface 100 formed by an intermediate wall 101 and the corresponding thumb, not shown here, of the cylinder 36 can engage a corresponding cam surface 105 of an end wall 103 the spring already mentioned 56, which is carried on the one hand on a nose 107 carried by the end wall 103, but which is supported on the other hand in a depression 109 at its inner end, the locking bar 46 is in the direction of the arrow 111 and thus in the locking direction (see the locking tab 60 in FIG 19), unless a thumb against surface 105 or 100 prevents this.
  • the spring 56 can now push the locking bar 46 along the pins sliding in the longitudinal slots 70 in the direction of arrow 111 into the closed position, which is reached when on the one hand, the nose 60 abuts somewhere with its stop surface 113, or the pins arranged in the slots 70 reach the end of the slot 70, or, for example, the cam surface 105 on the thumb of the cylinder which is in the 45 ° position (reference number 192) 36 or on the cylinder peripheral surface 115.
  • the pivot lever lock is unlocked by bringing the thumb 92 or the thumb 192 of the cylinder 38 or 36 back towards the upward-pointing position during which rotational movement the thumb actuated in each case slides along the somewhat curved cam surface 100 or 105 and thereby moves the locking bar 46 against the direction of arrow 111 and against the force of the spring 56 into the unlocking position until the position shown in FIG. 18 is reached.
  • FIG. 17 and 19 each show round openings 117 and 119, which are also arranged in the side walls of the locking bar 46 and serve as a passage opening for fastening screws which are to be screwed into the bore 80 and 82, respectively.
  • These bores 117 and 119 have the diameter of the head of the respective fastening screw for the cylinder lock and are arranged such that they are aligned in the unlocked position of the locking bar 46 for the respectively associated opening: the two openings 115 are then coaxial with the bores 80, and the openings 117 coaxial with the openings 82.
  • the displacement of the locking bar 46 by the thumbs 92 could also take place by these thumbs engaging in openings of a similar design to those formed by the openings 94, 96, with a corresponding arrangement of the locking bar 46 perpendicular to the direction of movement side edges to be arranged engaging edges for the thumb 92 or 192 could be created.
  • the embodiment shown here is preferable for reasons of stability and because of the easier assembly.
  • the aforementioned cover cap 40 is provided, which is shown in FIGS. 21 to 24 is explained in different representations.
  • the locking bar ultimately forms an elongated box, the a narrow side, here the narrow side pointing to the free end of the pivoting lever, the contact edge or contact nose 60 for engaging behind a fixed part of the recess or the door leaf rear surface, as already explained.
  • a corresponding locking lug either on the left or right, or on the other narrow side, but the embodiment chosen here is particularly advantageous because the greatest possible distance from the lug to the pivot axis 26 of the lever means that the lug acts on the lug Force is smallest when unauthorized attempts are made to actuate.
  • Another advantage of this arrangement is that it can be achieved in a simple manner that a corresponding breakthrough edge 121 of the trough 18 shown in FIG. 8 acts as a cam when the pivoting lever is pivoted in through the inclined surface 119 at the front end of the locking bar 46 slides along the cam track 119 and thereby (regardless of the position of the thumbs 92 or 192) presses the locking bar 46 against the arrow 111 into the unlocked position until finally this cam track 119 ends at the break-off edge 123, whereupon the spring 56 locks the locking bar 46 in can press their closed position unless the thumbs 92 and 192 prevent this.
  • the trough 18 into which the pivot lever base 54 described so far with the locking bar 46 can be pivoted is no longer symmetrical.
  • the Trough a type of tub shape, with tub walls 127, which appropriately accommodates the correspondingly spherical handle shape according to FIG. 15, in particular the wall shape thereof in area 129.
  • the trough forms a perforated bottom 131 in order to allow the rear ends of the cylinders and the parts of the pivoting lever base 54, which protrude approximately as far, to pass through.
  • a thumb excluded by 45 ° see reference number 192 or 92 in FIG.
  • the opening 131 still has opening extensions 133, 135 on one side, such opening extensions only here are provided on one side because it is always possible to arrange the cylinders so that they exclude their thumbs on only one side.
  • By means of the breakthrough extensions 133, 135 it is in turn possible to bring the swivel lever back into its swiveled-in position even with the thumbs of one or both cylinders 36 and 38 in the locked position, without first bringing the thumbs into the unlocking position in which Position they would not emerge from the outer walls of the locking bar 46.
  • the special conical shape of the breakthrough extensions or recesses 133, 135 have a dovetail shape.
  • the trough 18 with the attachment 32 can be inserted axially centering through the corresponding opening 12 in a door leaf or the like, 16, with a circumferential recess 139 for receiving an annular seal for sealing the trough against the door leaf, there are also two circular lugs 141 with associated blind holes 143 for receiving a thread-cutting nut, this nut, for example, connecting a gear box or the like to the trough 18 and simultaneously between himself and the trough jammed the door leaf, as described in the European patent mentioned.
  • the encirclement of the opening 131 forms an extension 34 (again with a circumferential groove 239 for a sealing strip) and two extensions 241 for receiving fastening screws for a covering cap 40 which can be seen in different representations in FIGS. 21 to 24.
  • This covering cap closes on the one hand, the opening 131 in the direction of the interior of the space to be locked (for example, the interior of the control cabinet), on the other hand, this cap protects the movable parts of the pivoted lever against dirt and other influences that can occur in the interior of the control cabinet, for example arcing gases and the like.
  • the outer shape of the cap is only important insofar as it must extend beyond the breakthrough extensions or depressions 133, 135, which is why the cap has the bulge 125 and the asymmetry caused thereby, similar to the asymmetry formed by the breakthrough extension 133, 135 is, the cap can be mounted so that the bulge 125 faces the breakthrough extensions 133, 135.
  • the cap should only be so large that it does not hinder the insertion of the pivoting lever with its moving components, just as little as the displacement of the locking bar 46.
  • the cap has two injected holes 145 which are aligned with the blind holes 243 in the trough 18 and serve to receive a self-tapping fastening screw in each of the blind holes 243. With their lower edge 147, the cap lies against the thin wall or door leaf 16, as can be seen in FIG. 1.
  • the fastening screws 149 not only hold the cap 40 in place, but also the recess 18 in the door leaf.
  • a cover cap 151 can also be provided, which can be seen in different representations in FIGS. 25 to 27.
  • This cover cap can be fastened with an axle extension 153 located at one end, which is inserted through a suitably shaped bore 153 located in the pivot lever base 54 and then through a locking disk or the like, which can be inserted into the depression region 155 from the other side, is set. Subsequently, this space 155 and also the receiving space 109 for the spring 56 can then be closed by a plate 157 by means of a again self-tapping screw 159, see FIG. 13, for which purpose a projection 161 again has a blind hole 163 from the pivot lever base 54 like.
  • the cap 151 may have depressions 163 for receiving slightly projecting cylinders if such projecting cylinders are used. Furthermore, this cap has a depression 339 running around the pin 153 for receiving a seal.
  • a breakthrough 165 can also be seen, which in connection with a corresponding breakthrough 167, to which it is aligned when axially aligned with the pivoting lever, enables a sealing wire to be pulled through, so as to be able to seal the cover cap in its position covering the cylinders.
  • projections 169 can be seen, which protrude somewhat and the pivot lever on its top grasp slightly and hold the cover in its covering position.
  • this cover 151 To release the cylinders, this cover 151 must therefore be raised slightly so that the projections 169 are pushed over the front surface 78 and the part 151 is pivoted about its axis 153 until the two cylinders of the pivot lever are released.
  • FIG. 30 a fully assembled swivel lever lock with double cylinder can be seen in a side view, as has already been described in its individual parts, although some minor modifications can also be seen, see also the top view of the swivel lever lock according to FIG. 30, which is shown in FIG 28 and the sectional view according to FIG. 29 along the line XXIX-XXIX of FIG. 28.
  • FIG. 28 shows a somewhat modified cover 251, in which the depressions 263 for receiving slightly protruding cylinders are led out to one side, see reference number 263 in FIG. 28, so that the cover, when pivoting out of the cylinder covering Position no longer has to be raised so much to release the projecting cylinders.
  • the hand lever 222 has a laterally projecting strip or thickening 171 in the area of the cylinders 36, 38, which is included in a corresponding thinning of the material in the base plate 18, as can be seen in a sectional view in FIG. 29.
  • a laterally projecting strip or thickening 171 in the area of the cylinders 36, 38 which is included in a corresponding thinning of the material in the base plate 18, as can be seen in a sectional view in FIG. 29.
  • the thumb of the locking cylinder needs a little more space than in the possible 45 ° position.
  • the thickening 171 extends straight from the area of the 90 ° thumb position of the lock 36 to the area of the 90 ° thumb position of the cylinder 38.
  • FIG. 19 where somewhat wedge-shaped depressions 133, 135 are provided, which are also intended to allow a cylinder thumb lying in the direction of these recesses and having an essentially 90 ° position to slide past.
  • 9 causes a certain thumb guide when pivoting the lever out of the base plate 18 according to FIG. 9, because when the hand lever is pivoted in and locked as a result of lock cylinder play, the position of this thumb is not necessarily exactly 90 °, but can deviate somewhat therefrom. Due to the dovetail-shaped bevel, which can be seen in FIG. 9 at 133 and 135, the thumb is then guided through the bevel into the 90 ° position when the hand lever is pivoted out.
  • the reference number 38 here refers to the opening in which the cylinder lock provided with the corresponding reference number can be installed.
