Description

The present invention relates to an ovoid packaging for condiments.
It is intended to contain condiments for dishes based on eggs or any other food and has the particularity of being transformable into an egg cup. Its identical shapes and dimensions to those of common chicken eggs allow it to take place in a packaging provided for the latter. The devices produced to date are receptacles in the form of a cup closed with a lid, most often integrated into the packaging for eggs and therefore requiring a special fabrication of the latter. Said cups can contain only one type of product, which limits possible applications. The device according to the present invention eliminates all these drawbacks. In fact, it can have two completely separate compartments, each closed by a cover and containing different products. Its shape allows it to be placed in any type of packaging for eggs, without the latter having to undergo modifications, and facilitates the mechanization of packaging on production lines. The possibility of transforming it into an egg cup is commercially attractive. It consists of the combination of two concave elements which can be assembled so as to form an egg-shaped container. Preferably made of thin plastic material, possibly transparent, or of edible material. One of these elements, forming a cover, has an annular groove which is forced to fit on an equally annular bulge of the other element, so as to ensure the container thus obtained the seal necessary for preserving condiments, the latter can be contained in sachets preventing the evaporation of the aroma and the penetration of moisture. Each of the two concave elements may include a tight seal and contain a different condiment, the cover of the cover element being set back to allow the assembly of the two elements. A means makes it possible to secure the bottoms of the two aforementioned elements to form an egg cup, the cover playing the role of base, said assembly means being able to be constituted by at least one nipple s' force fitting in at least one depression, or even by the association of a circular groove clipping on a bulge provided on the bottom of the other element. In the accompanying drawings, given by way of non-limiting example of a * of embodiments of the object of the invention: Figure 1 shows the device in its closed together. Figure 2 is a plan view of the device.
Figure 3 is a cross section showing the device transformed into an egg cup.
Les surfaces extérieures 9, 10 du récipient 1 , 2 peuvent recevoir des logos , images ou messages publicitaires.FIG. 4 shows the two separate parts of a variant of the device with two compartments. The device, FIGS. 1 to 3, consists of two concave elements 1, 2, made of thin semi-rigid plastic material, possibly transparent or of edible material, each having the shape of a part of eggshell, and being able to to be assembled so as to form a container intended to contain one or two condiments possibly contained in sachets. The element 1 forming a cover has an inner annular groove 3 which is forcibly fitted onto an also annular bulge 4 of the other element, so as to ensure the container thus obtained the seal necessary for preserving the condiments. Each of the two concave elements may include a sealed cover 5, 6 and contain a different condiment, the cover 5 of the cover 1 being disposed set back from the opening plane of the latter to allow the assembly of the two elements. The bottom of the element 2 has 4 protruding nipples 7 capable of being forced into three corresponding depressions 8 provided on the top of the element 1 allowing, after using the condiments, to form an egg cup, the lid 1 playing the role of a base (figure 4). The outer surfaces 9, 10 of the container 1, 2 can receive logos, images or advertising messages.
Thanks to the attraction which it cannot fail to exert on customers, the device which has just been described lends itself particularly well to the production of packaging for eggs incorporating condiments making it possible to prepare various dishes such as omelets, or flans, and intended in particular for sales areas of a certain size.
The positioning of the various constituent elements gives this device a maximum of useful effects which had not been obtained to date by similar devices.
