Abstract

The toilet seat has a toilet rim (1) and a toilet lid (8) which, for the purposes of cleaning, can be separated from one another and from a bidet (42) which is accommodated in a hollow shoulder of the toilet rim (1) with simple movements and without tools. On the toilet seat (1), flank portions (38,39) are formed, which are hinged on the housing (17) of the bidet with bearing journals (12,13) formed on the inside. In these flank portions there are also actuating mechanisms (34,31) which act in conjunction with a spring-loaded tongue (25) or a disc (21) of the bidet (42) to operate a pressure switch (27) or a valve (28). The housing (17) of the bidet (42) is largely closed and protected against splashing even when the toilet rim is removed. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a toilet seat according to the preamble of independent claim 1. A toilet seat of this type is manufactured by the applicant. It has the advantage that it can be installed on practically all commercially available toilets and therefore an under-shower can be set up with little effort, even in existing toilets. The housing of the under shower consists of a tubular part in which the individual components of the under shower are inserted and which is closed with a screwed-on washer. The hollow attachment of the toilet seat encompasses the tubular housing part and is pivotably mounted on it, so that it moves out of its horizontal Use position can be pivoted upwards by about 90 °. In order to separate the toilet seat from the shower for a thorough cleaning of the toilet seat, the above-mentioned lid must be unscrewed. Such disassembly requires manual skills and therefore often forms an obstacle to frequent and regular cleaning of the toilet seat, which is desirable per se for hygienic reasons.

The invention has for its object to provide a toilet seat of the type mentioned, in which the toilet glasses are easier to dismantle and which is nevertheless inexpensive to manufacture and functionally reliable. The object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1.

In the case of the toilet seat according to the invention, the toilet glasses are mounted on the outside on the front sides of the housing of the shower. The toilet seat can be lifted off the housing of the shower, the housing of the shower being essentially closed when the toilet seat is removed. It is therefore essential that when the toilet seat is dismantled, the interior of the shower is not exposed, so that in principle there is no risk of damage to the components housed in the housing and the risk of electrical contact.

According to a further development of the invention, bearing shells are mounted on the front side of the housing, in which bearing journals attached to flank parts of the toilet seat are inserted. In a structurally simple manner, storage of the toilet seat is thus created which does not require screw connections and in which particularly easy lifting and fitting of the toilet seat is possible. The flank parts of the toilet seat can simultaneously have a button and / or a rotary handle for triggering a switch or regulating a valve.

According to a development of the invention, the button and the twist grip are positively inserted into openings in the flank parts that are coaxial with the bearing. This enables the housing of the shower to be made much more compact. If transmission elements are also arranged on the front of the housing of the shower, which transmit a movement of the button or the rotary handle on a switch or a valve in the housing of the shower, the housing can be largely liquid-tight and is nevertheless a reliable triggering and regulation of the shower possible. Further advantageous features result from the remaining dependent claims and the following description.

The sub-shower 42 has a tubular, essentially closed housing 17 with a base part 19 and a cover part 18. The bottom part 19 is fastened in a known manner with screws 16 and wing nuts 15 on a toilet bowl 14. Among other things, a shower arm 20 and a boiler for the shower water are accommodated in the housing 17. There is also a switch 27 in the housing with which the shower process can be triggered, as well as a valve 28 with which the shower water can be regulated can. The housing 17 is completely sealed against splash water with labyrinth seals, not shown here.

Diese Stege 11 befestigen die Lagerringe 10 in geeignetem Abstand an der Unterseite des Deckels 8.The shower 42 is housed in a hollow extension 5 of the toilet seat 1. This approach 5 has laterally formed flank parts 38 and 39, each of which has a stepped bearing pin 12 and 13 on the inside. These journals 12 and 13 are inserted radially from above into bearing shells 23 and 24 of the base part 19. The bearing shells 23 and 24 are each open at the top as can be seen from FIG. 2. The cylindrical bearing surfaces 7 and 5 lie on fitted bearing surfaces 43 and 44 of the housing 17 when the toilet seat 1 is fitted. The bearing journals 12 and 13 also serve to support a toilet lid 8 and, for this purpose, have stepped bearing surfaces 2 and 3, onto each of which an open bearing ring 10 (FIG. 7) is detachably snapped. The bearing surfaces 2 and 3 are out of round, in such a way that the bearing rings 10 can only be placed on them and then lifted off again when the cover 8 is opened backwards by approximately 120 °. Since the cistern is mounted on the toilet bowl 14 behind the seat, this pivoting position cannot be reached, so that the lid 8 can only be removed from the toilet seat 1 when it is removed from the toilet bowl 14. 7 shows, the bearing rings 10 are each over several Shaped webs 11 on the toilet lid 8. These webs 11 secure the bearing rings 10 at a suitable distance on the underside of the cover 8.

The flank parts 38 and 39 have openings 6 and 4 which are coaxial to the axis C of the journals 12 and 13. In the opening 6, a button 34 is inserted from the outside, which can be pushed by hand in Fig. 1 against the restoring force of a spiral spring 36 to the right, an extension 35 pivoting a tongue 25 against the switch 27 and actuating it. The tongue 25 is integrally formed on the cover part 18, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. When the button 34 is released, the spring 36 returns it to the position shown in FIG. 1 and the tongue 25 resiliently returns to the rest position shown in FIG. 2. So that the button 34 does not fall out of the opening 6, a detent cam 45 is formed on the extension 35.

An externally accessible rotary handle 31 is inserted into the opening 45 from the inside of the flank part 39. This rotary handle 31 also has a locking cam 32 which prevents the rotary handle 31 from falling out. When the toilet seat 1 is placed on the lower bushing 42, when the rotary handle 31 is disengaged, a cam 33 projecting from the inside moves into one of the grooves 40 in a disk 21. As shown in Figs. 2 and 4, these grooves 40 are crossed by two Depressions formed. The disk 21 is rotatably supported in the housing parts 18 and 19 and connected to the valve 28 on the inside. When turning the rotary handle 31, the cam 33, which is arranged eccentrically to the axis B, takes along the disk 21, which in turn adjusts the valve 28. By pulling out the rotary handle 31 (to the right in FIG. 1), the engagement of the cam 33 with the disk 21 is released, whereupon the toilet seat 1 with the cover 8 put on can easily be lifted off the under-shower 42. The toilet seat 1 can thus be separated from the shower 42 without tools and very easily. after putting on the toilet seat 1, the button 34 and the rotary handle 31 can be actuated again immediately without further measures by disengaging. Even when the toilet seat 1 is removed, the switch 27 can be actuated by means of the tongue 25 and the valve 28 can be actuated by means of the disk 21 in order to check the function of the shower.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, a mat 46 is arranged between the shower 42 and the toilet bowl 14. This preferably consists of closed-cell foam and has the advantage that unevenness in the toilet bowl 14 is compensated for and no dirt can penetrate between the toilet bowl 14 and the shower 42.

A major advantage of the toilet seat according to the invention is seen in the fact that there is greater freedom in relation to the known design with regard to the shape of the toilet seat and the lid.
