Auf der Innenseite der kurzen Seitenschenkel des Verkleidungselementes sind für den Eingriff mit jeweils wenigstens zwei Riegelelementen Verschlußelemente in Form eines Schließbleches vorgesehen, die einen in Längsrichtung verlaufenden Schlitz aufweisen. Am Traggestell sind vertikal ausgerichtete und in der Vertikalebene verschwenkbare Riegelelemente vorgesehen, deren oberes und unteres Ende jeweils als Riegelzunge ausgebildet ist. Beide Riegelelemente sind schwenkbar am Tragrahmen befestigt und über eine Koppelstange miteinander verbunden. Eine Rückhaltefeder sorgt dafür, daß die Riegelelemente in Schließstellung gehalten werden. Dies erfordert bei der Montage eines Verkleidungselementes entweder einen zweiten Mann oder die montierende Person muß mit einem Fuß gegen die Kraft der Rückhaltefeder die beiden Riegelelemente in Öffnungsstellung verschwenken und dann das Verkleidungselement aufschieben. Es ist ohne weiteres einsehbar, daß bei dieser Handhabung der Fuß der handhabenden Person durchaus das freie Aufschieben des Verkleidungselementes behindern kann, zumal das Verkleidungselement bei aufgeklebten keramischen Fliesen sehr sorgfältig gehandhabt werden muß und zudem bei dieser Größe ein nicht unbeträchtliches Gewicht aufweist. Nach dem Aufschieben des Verkleidungselementes auf das Traggestell kann dann der von unten zugängliche Schwenkriegel losgelassen werden. Sieht man hierbei lösbare Befestigungsmittel für die Verkleidungsplatten vor, so ergibt sich zusätzlich der Vorteil, daß anstelle einer gesonderten kleinen Revisionsöffnung nunmehr die gesamte raumseitige Verkleidung auch in Teilstücken abgenommen werden kann, so daß hier die "Technik" frei zugänglich ist. Da der Frontrahmen mit dem die Whirlpool-Wanne tragenden Rahmenwerk verbunden ist und damit zugleich die Positionierung der Oberkante der Verkleidungsplatten genau definiert ist, entfallen hier umständliche Regulierungs- und Anpassungsarbeiten. Der Frontrahmen kann hierbei starr mit dem Rahmenwerk verbunden sein, da derartige Whirlpool-Wannen fertigmontiert geliefert werden, so daß durch die feste Anordnung des Frontrahmens kein erhöhter Raumbedarf für den Transport gegeben ist. Ein weiterer Vorteil besteht darin, daß auf der oberen Quertraverse noch eine zusätzliche, horizontal verlaufende und vom Wannenrand überdeckte Verkleidung vorgesehen, werden kann, da bei normalen Badewannen der für die "Technik" benötigte Raum seitlich über die Projektion des Wannenrandes hinausreicht. Zugleich bietet sich hierdurch die Möglichkeit eines einwandfreien und praktisch "fugenlosen" Anschlusses der vertikalen, mit dem Frontrahmen zu verbindenden Verkleidungsplatten, da die Positionierung der horizontalen Verkleidung und der vertikalen Verkleidungsplatten zueinander durch den Frontrahmen vorgegeben ist. Eine derartige Ausbildung der Verbindung zwischen Verkleidungsplatte und Frontrahmen hat den Vorteil, daß die Verkleidungsplatte in einfacher Weise lösbar mit dem Frontrahmen verbunden ist und zu Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten in einfacher Weise abgenommen werden kann, so daß bei entsprechender Bemessung der lösbaren Verkleidungsplatte die "Technik" vollständig freigelegt werden kann. Die Ausbildung der unteren Halteelemente als Schwenklager hat den Vorteil, daß beim Einsetzen diese um eine definierte horizontale Achse gegen den oberen Wannenrand verschwenkt werden, so daß hier je nach Ausbildung der oberen Längskante ein zumindest optisch dichter Anschluß gewährleistet ist. Zweckmäßig ist es hierbei, wenn in weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung der jeweils am Frontrahmen befestigte Teil der Schnappverbinder im Abstand zum Frontrahmen einstellbar ist.
