Description

The invention relates to a sanitary cell made of prefabricated components, comprising a bowl-shaped floor pan, wall elements and a bowl-shaped ceiling shell.

So far, it is already known to assemble sanitary cells from individual components, these components for the sanitary cell already being assembled in the factory and delivered in the assembled state. To transport these sanitary cells, vehicles with special lifting devices are usually required to lower the sanitary cells. This is very cumbersome, since this procedure is associated with a corresponding transportation effort. Another disadvantage is that such sanitary cells cannot be installed in rooms that have already been specified.

On the other hand, in the course of modernizing buildings, it is often necessary to install new sanitary facilities in existing buildings so that you are tied to the spaces already specified. A recurring criterion here is that the specified rooms always have different dimensions, so that the sanitary cells usually have to be specially adapted and constructed for the purposes of use. This naturally makes installing sanitary cells very expensive. The decisive disadvantage, however, is still that it is not possible to insert the sanitary cells into a building that has already been completed, or only at a corresponding cost. A further disadvantage of known sanitary cells is that their components can only be connected from the outside. Accessibility in the event of a revision or subsequent installation is generally not possible, so that repair and maintenance work is also extremely complex and expensive.

Sanitary cells are also known in which the wall elements and / or corner elements are made from coated pressboard or coated sheet metal or from glass fiber reinforced plastic. These materials have the disadvantages that they have open edges that have to be sealed by a special treatment so that no moisture can penetrate into the sensitive core material. Instead of sealing, special joint seals or glued edges or edge banding can also be used, which, however, leads to an increase in the cost of the material as a result of complex production and assembly. The permanently elastic sealing necessary for GRP constructions is often also the cause of mold growth and the accumulation of bacterial colonies, which must be avoided in particular in sanitary cells used in hospitals. The known coated chipboard and GRP parts are also particularly vulnerable to impact and shock and can hardly be used in the sanitary area, since the inner sensitive core material becomes accessible from the outside if the outer protective layer is damaged as a result of impact or if holes are drilled Exposure to moisture, temperature and sunlight. In the case of glass fiber reinforced plastic, the damage to the protective surface is particularly disadvantageous because the glass fibers attract water as a result of capillary action, so that such wall elements swell and promote the formation of bacterial colonies. Since essentially only the reinforced cover layers are load-bearing in the case of the materials described above, it can also happen that, if no additional reinforcements are installed in the material, the mechanical fastenings become detached, so that the wall elements and / or those fastened to them are held securely Faucets is not guaranteed.

A sanitary cell according to the preamble of claim 1 is known (G. Knappke: " Sanitary cells", 1975, Bauverlag GmbH, pp. 126, 127, 204, 205), which consists of prefabricated elements constructed in a grid-like manner and in particular a bowl-shaped floor pan, includes various wall elements and a bowl-shaped ceiling shell. Element parts that can be added and stacked in any way result in a wall element in a steel frame, which represents the framework for the sanitary cell. In the case of such sanitary cells, the individual elements, that is to say wall elements, ceiling shell and base shell, are usually mounted on the scaffolding by means of screw connections.

A kit for a sanitary cell comprising wall elements, a ceiling plate and a base plate is also known (DE-A No. 2537877), in which the base plate rests on separate profiles and the assembly of the individual components is carried out using commercially available plug connections. On the floor side, the sanitary cell is formed by a double-layer floor plate, which rests on separate edge profiles with a staggered cross-section that continue into the wall elements.

Finally, it is known in connection with modular sink units consisting of basins, mirror receptacles and storage compartments (US Pat. No. 4171545) to hang the entire sink unit on hanging elements present in the wall of the room. Such wash basin units, however, differ from sanitary cells, which essentially represent closed room units and are bounded at the top and bottom by a floor pan or a ceiling shell, and are supported by the floor pan against the floor of the building.

Starting from a sanitary cell according to the preamble of claim 1, the invention aims to simplify assembly and disassembly of the individual components and an advantageous arrangement of the individual components to one another in order to reduce the assembly effort but also the component effort.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1, expedient embodiments of the invention being characterized by the features contained in the subclaims.

The fact that the wall elements overlap at least the bowl-shaped floor pan on the inside of a bead formed by a gradation with a subsequent bead allows a very favorable component coordination for a sanitary cell because, on the one hand, this simplifies the installation of the floor pan to the outside and a stop at the bottom represents for the wall elements and, as a result of the overlapping arrangement of at least the floor pan and the wall elements, any sealing measures reducing splash water protection is achieved. Due to the lateral edge flanges protruding at right angles from the rear of the wall elements, a flush connection of adjacent wall elements is possible. A further simplification of the assembly results from the connection elements provided on the back, whereby the sanitary cell can be created both from the outside and from the inside. This is based on the fact that the connection elements can be fastened either to connection profiles arranged in front of the wall of the installation space or to construction profiles which accommodate an outer cladding. In connection with the wall elements that extend over the inside of the tub, this also results in a very simple fixing of the shell over the wall elements, since opposing wall shells prevent the tub from moving due to the arrangement.

This sanitary cell 1 comprises a floor pan 2, which is also shown in section in FIG. 1. The sanitary cell 1 has a square or rectangular cross section and comprises a lowered and molded shower tray 3 in one corner. The shower tray 3 is delimited on two sides by the all-round raised edge 4 of the base shell 1. The bottom of the shower tray 3, like the bottom of the bottom shell 2, can be provided with profiles, such as knobs or grooves, so that the stability is increased when the floor is moist. It can also be seen from FIG. 1 that the peripheral edge 4 is pulled down flush with the floor in the area of the entrance 6, so that there is no step in the entry area. Advantageously, there is a slope to the drain in the area of the shower tray 3, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2.

In Fig. 1, the wall elements are shown in plan view, these wall elements having three corner elements 7, a plurality of flat wall elements 8 and wall projection elements 9. The wall projection elements 9 serve to delimit the sanitary cell and can be drawn into the base shell or into the interior of the sanitary cell 1 for different lengths. In the flat wall elements 8, recesses or recesses, which are not apparent from the drawing, are expediently provided, which either form shelves for receiving objects or in which sanitary facilities, such as a toilet bowl 10 or a wash basin 11, are accommodated. Finally, seat elements 12 can be molded into a further corner element 7a. In addition, all edges or corners in the visible area of the sanitary cell, that is to say on the inside, are rounded off, so that the risk of injury is reduced.

The wall elements are manufactured in grid sizes, so that storage is reduced. For example, flat wall elements with a width of 100 mm are prefabricated, whereby in the case of sanitary cells of different sizes, only intermediate pieces with a different width have to be attached. If necessary, the prefabricated flat wall elements 8 can also be subsequently cut to an intermediate dimension.

The sanitary cell is then closed at the top by a ceiling shell 40 which rests on the wall elements.

Separate connection and assembly profiles 13, 14 are provided over the circumference of the sanitary cell, which are arranged at intervals corresponding to the edge flanges of the individual wall elements, which are described in more detail below. The individual wall elements have, at least on their side edges from FIG. 5, edge flanges 16, which protrude at right angles from the wall element from its rear surface. These edge flanges 16 expediently extend over the entire length of the side edges of the wall elements (long side). However, it is also expedient for these edge flanges to be circumferential. Edge flanges 16 of adjacent wall elements abut one another flush, which ensures a sufficient seal of the joint between the individual wall elements. These edge flanges 16 also serve to fasten the wall elements of the sanitary cell to the connection profiles 15. The connection profiles 13 establish the connection between the connection profiles 15 and the existing walls. The construction profile 14 builds on the connection profile and allows an outer cladding or outer planking of the wall of the sanitary cell, as can be seen quite clearly from FIG. 3, where the sanitary cell connects to the customer's walls on two sides and is provided with a separate outer cladding on two sides. The individual mounting options are explained in more detail in a subsequent section. However, it is essential to connect the wall elements to the connecting profiles 15, which are part of the kit, or to the wall shown in a given room by means of connecting profiles 13. As a result, the wall elements are stably anchored, so that an overall load-bearing structure is achieved.

There are a total of the following assembly options for the kit, namely:
  • a) Free-standing scaffold with the connecting profiles 15, which are optionally connected with cross struts, wherein a plasterboard cladding is expediently applied to the outside of the construction profiles 14. In this case, the wall elements can be installed from the outside.
  • b) However, this installation option is not applicable if the sanitary cell has to be installed in a space that is already fixed, for example in the case of old town renovation. In this case, a free-standing scaffold can be introduced into the room from the connecting profiles 15 with the construction profiles 14, plasterboard cladding also being possible, and the wall elements are finally installed from the inside. The construction profiles 14 are clamped between the ceiling and floor. This type of installation is particularly advantageous where relatively high rooms are used for the installation of the sanitary cell, ie there are larger distances between the ceiling of the specified room and the ceiling of the sanitary cell.
  • c) The further possibility for predetermined rooms is to fasten the connecting profiles 15 to the wall of the predetermined space via connecting profiles and finally to mount the wall elements on the connecting profiles 15 from the inside.

Ersichtlich erfolgt die Montage der Wandelemente 8 in ausserordentlich einfacher Weise durch blosses Einhängen in die Verbindungsprofile 15, wobei die Demontage von innen her später ohne weiteres durch Aushängen möglich ist.5 shows a possibility of fastening the wall elements 8 to connecting profiles 15, which are fastened to structural profiles 14 and are U-shaped and have fastening flanges 17 projecting laterally from the U-legs. The structural profiles 14 are screwed to the fastening flanges 17 with an outer cladding 18, which expediently consists of plasterboard. The screw connection is indicated by a dash-dotted line. The two U-legs of the connecting profile 15 are bridged by a cross pin 19. Two adjacent wall elements 8 are suspended in the cross pin 19 with their flush-fitting edge flanges 16. This attachment option is shown in more detail in FIG. 6. Thereafter, a hook-shaped opening 20 is provided in the edge flanges 16 so that the edge flanges can be plugged onto the cross pin 19 of the connecting profile 15 and finally hooked in. Of course, several connecting profiles 15 arranged one above the other at a distance can be provided over the length of the profile or the wall elements. It is also possible to design this connecting profile as an elongated rail, in which case a plurality of transverse pins 19 are arranged one above the other. As can be seen, the wall elements 8 are assembled in an extraordinarily simple manner simply by hanging them in the connecting profiles 15, the disassembly from the inside being possible later simply by unhooking them.

As an alternative to the opening in the edge flanges, a hook-shaped extension can also be formed on the back of a wall element 8, which extends over the cross pin 19 from above. 5 further shows a profile web 21 which is inserted into the connecting profile 15, receives the two edge flanges 16 and overlaps the two U-legs of the connecting profile 15 and thus prevents the two U-legs from spreading under load.

From Fig. 6 it can also be seen that the floor pan 2 at the upper end of the peripheral raised edge 4 has an outwardly extending step 22 which forms a bead 24 with an edge bead 23. The wall elements arranged next to one another are accommodated in this bead 24, so that they are supported on the bottom of the bead. In this case, a seal, expediently a sealing tape, can be provided between the bead base and the lower edge of the wall elements, which is shown schematically in FIG. 6. In order to avoid damage, it is expedient here that the edge flange 16, which is a cross-beam, is also provided on the bottom side of the wall element forms. A horizontal edge flange 16 can also be provided on the upper edge of the wall elements 8 and serves as a support for the ceiling shell 40. Finally, it is important that the construction profiles 14 run in front of the floor pan 2 and thus past the cell all the way to the floor and ceiling. The construction profiles are expediently connected to the floor or the ceiling via horizontal cross members 25, with which they are screwed.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the edge flanges 16 are provided with bores, profile pieces 35 and 34 being screwed to the edge flanges (screw connection is indicated by a dash-dotted line). These profile pieces 35, which can also be glued to the edge flanges 16, are screwed to the construction profit 14 at their web sections. This type of fastening of the wall elements of the sanitary cell requires access from the outside to set up the sanitary cell.

From Fig. 4 it can be seen that the cross pin 19 also allows the compensation of tolerance inaccuracies or the use of spacers.

A flush installation in the joint area is also possible here. Otherwise, this exemplary embodiment is similar to the fastening method described in FIG. 5. A sound-insulated intermediate bearing 36 is provided to improve the sound insulation of the wall. Finally, a considerable improvement in airborne sound insulation can be achieved in the construction profiles by increasing the profile height (and thus increasing the overall wall thickness).

In order to enable a distance compensation between the predetermined wall of the room in which the sanitary cell is to be installed and the wall of the sanitary cell itself, spacer elements 26 are provided according to FIG. The spacer element shown in FIG. 9 is composed of two L-shaped angle pieces 27, 28, which form the U-shaped spacer element 26. Each angle piece has corresponding elongated holes 29 in the web area of the U-profile, so that after loosening a locking screw 30, the span of the spacer element can be changed. Different distances between the wall of the sanitary cell 1 and the wall of the specified room can thus be bridged.

In Fig. 10, the edge flanges are formed by separate profile pieces 16b, which are molded onto the wall elements or attached in some other way. Each of these profile pieces 16b has a recess 16c, with associated profile pieces 16b of adjacent wall elements 8 forming a space in which a sealing element 41 is received. This sealing element 41, which is expediently a sealing strip, also covers the joint between the wall elements 8. The wall elements 8 can be hung or hung in the connecting profiles 15 via the profile pieces 16b, which are otherwise designed in accordance with the edge flanges 16.

A shower cell with a circular floor plan is shown in FIG. 11 in deviation from the sanitary cell shown in FIG. 1. It is obvious that different layouts can be realized, such as hexagonal cells and the like. The circular sanitary cell consists of three wall elements 8, which are fastened in the area of their edge flanges 16 in the manner described above to a framework consisting of connecting profiles 13, which are not shown in the drawing. The entrance to the sanitary cell is formed by a swing door 31, stop projections 32 and 33 being formed in the wall elements, which prevent the door from swinging through and form a splash guard.

Dieser Effekt ist auch durch die in Fig. 6 dargestellte Ausführungsform erreicht.12 shows a support of a wall element 8 on the raised edge 4 of the base shell 2. In this case, a Z-shaped profile rail 37 is fastened, expediently screwed, on the bottom side of the wall element 8, which web rests on the bead 23 ′ of the bead 24. The suspension or support of the wall element 8 is such that an intermediate gap remains between the bottom of the bead 24 and the lower edge of the wall element 8, through which an air exchange is possible in the intermediate space between the wall of the predetermined space and the rear of the sanitary cell is. This is very expedient, since the free space behind the sanitary cell can thereby be very advantageous for the exchange of the moist environment within the sanitary cell and the breathability of the wall of the given room can thus be used. The raised bead 23 prevents splash water from escaping to the outside. This effect is also achieved by the embodiment shown in FIG. 6.

Gemäss Fig. 13 ist die Horizontalfuge zwischen dem Boden des Wandelements 8 und dem Boden der Sicke 24 durch eine Dichtleiste 38 abgedichtet, welche mit einem Fortsatz im Wandelement 8 verankert ist.13, the horizontal joint between the bottom of the wall element 8 and the bottom of the bead 24 is sealed by a sealing strip 38 which is anchored in the wall element 8 with an extension.

Gemäss Fig. 14 liegt das Wandelement 8 mit seinem unteren Randflansch 16 auf dem Boden der Sicke 24 auf, wobei zweckmässigerweise zwischen dem Randflansch 16 und dem Boden der Sicke ein komprimierbares Dichtungsband vorgesehen ist.14, the wall element 8 rests with its lower edge flange 16 on the bottom of the bead 24, a compressible sealing tape being expediently provided between the edge flange 16 and the bottom of the bead.

A very expedient embodiment is finally shown in FIG. 15, wherein one of the edge flanges 16 is formed with a further fold 39, which overlaps the edge flange 16 of the adjacent wall element. This fold also engages in the bottom of the floor pan. As a result, the seal between the edge flanges 16 achieved by the flush installation is further reinforced. It should be mentioned here that, of course, sealing elements can also be provided between the edge flanges 16. Such sealing elements are in any case superfluous with an additionally provided fold 39. Such a fold 39 can be provided on one side on a wall element.

Fig. 2).In summary, it should be noted that with the sanitary cell described, installation from the outside and, in a very advantageous manner, installation from the inside within predetermined rooms is possible. As a kit, the sanitary cell comprises a floor pan, wall elements and a ceiling shell, which, in contrast to the floor shell, can have a peripheral edge that is pulled down (see FIG. 2).

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 16, the floor pan, as is generally the case with a threshold, is returned again. This means that the load on the floor pan can be transferred immediately without any further measures.
