In Fig.1 ist die Steckvorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung in der Seitenansicht, teilweise geschnitten, dargestellt. Sie besteht aus einem Stecker (4) und einer Buchse (5), mit welcher zwei Kabel (6) und (7) verbindbar sind. Die Teile (4) und (5) sind aus Kunststoff, und zwar einer Sorte, die den geforderten Bedingungen hinsichtlich Hitze- und Kältebeanspruchung genügen muß. Die Nocken (8, 9) sind im eingesteckten Zustand in entsprechende Ausschnitte (10, 11) der Buchse (5) einrastbar. Claims (2)

  1. Multipolar electrical plug device, especially for the connection of two multi-lead cables (6, 7), with a plug (4) and a socket (5), and also with a locking means which is in the form of a snap connection, characterised by the following features:
    a) the plug device is divided into two end portions (A, C) having a round cross-section, and a middle portion (B) having an oval or flat cross-section;
    b) the middle portion (B) of the socket (5) consists of a hollow, oval or flat housing part (13), which in the inserted state surrounds a corresponding part (contact holder) of the plug (4);
    c) at least two contact pins (1, 2) and two contact sleeves (14, 15) are provided which are preferably arranged adjacent to one another on the longitudinal axis (3) of the oval or flat portion (B) of the plug (4) or of the socket (5);
    d) the snap connection comprises at least one projection (8, 9) which is arranged on the flat sides of the oval or flat portion (B) of the plug (4), and which is able to be engaged in corresponding portions (10, 11) of the oval or flat housing part (13) of the socket (5).
  2. Plug device according to Claim 1, characterised in that a sealing device is provided which consists of an oval O-ring (12) which, in the inserted state, bears against the inner wall of the oval or flat housing part (13) of the socket (5).
