Abstract

The door has a door leaf (1) which is articulated on a lower and an upper arm (3, 4). The arms (3, 4) are connected to one another, so that they are pivotable in synchronism. Located at the top of the door leaf (1) is a guide member (9) which runs in a guide track (10). The lock (36) possesses on both the left-hand and the right-hand side of the door leaf a pushbutton (37, 37'), both of these being coupled to the latch bolt (41). The latch bolt (41) is arranged on the same side as the axis of rotation (2) of the arms (3, 4) and, when it engages into the latch orifice (47), prevents the door being opened a little way by pressure on the door leaf (1). The door leaf (1) is held in a secure closed position by means of the rigid connection of the latch bolt (41), the bracket with the arms (3, 4) and the guide member (9). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a door with a door leaf, which is articulated on a lower and an upper arm, which can be synchronously pivoted about an axis of rotation laterally to the side of the door opening, a guide member being arranged at the top and / or bottom of the door leaf, which is used when opening and closing of the door leaf runs in a guideway, and a door lock, which has a handle on the left and on the right side of the door leaf, which are coupled with a latch bolt. Such a door is described in CH 593 411. With this door, the door wing has an extremely small swivel area. The door can therefore be opened and closed without stepping forward or backward. Even a person in a wheelchair can open and close the door without having to maneuver with the wheelchair. The handling of the door is also simplified in that the door leaf is provided with a handle on both the left and right, and the latch bolt can be actuated with each of these handles. The pusher is coupled to the latch bolt via a connecting link. Depending on the side from which the passage is desired, the door can be operated with one or the other handle. However, the known door has the disadvantage that it closes poorly. A relatively small pressure on the door leaf of the closed door is sufficient to swing out the arms to which the door leaf is articulated a little. On the side of the axis of rotation of the arms, there is a gap between the door leaf and the frame. Another disadvantage is that the door leaves an unstable impression when opening and closing. The user gets the impression that something is wrong with the door and after closing the door is also unsure whether the latch bolt has actually clicked in or not. This is particularly annoying for disabled people, for whom the known door was primarily created. Such people very often have a battered self-esteem and tend to attribute their experience with the door to their own clumsiness and disability.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a door of the type mentioned at the outset which avoids the disadvantages described, that is to say in particular allows the door opening to be securely closed.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the latch bolt is arranged on the same side as the axis of rotation of the arms. This solution is in contrast to any normal door, where the hinge is arranged on one side of the door leaf and the latch bolt on the other side. This is probably the reason why it has never been suggested that the latch bolt be placed near the axis around which the door leaf rotates. The arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that it allows the door to be closed properly. As soon as the latch bolt has snapped into the latch opening, there is no longer any danger that the arms on which the door wing is hinged will be pivoted by pressure on the door wing and that a gap will arise between the door wing and the frame on the articulation side. The door closes well because the door leaf is held on one side by the latch bolt and on the other side by the guide element arranged in a guideway. Since the door leaf is stiff, the position of the arms with which the door leaf is articulated is also determined by the latch bolt falling into the latch opening. This also contributes to the stable mounting of the door leaf.

The arms expediently have a length which corresponds to approximately one third of the width of the door leaf. This results in an appropriate geometry of the door leaf movement when opening and closing.

The guide member is advantageously arranged about two thirds of the width of the door wing away from the axis of rotation of the arms. With this removal of the guide member from the axis of rotation of the arms, on the one hand, it is reliably ensured that the door also closes tightly on the side opposite the latch bolt, and on the other hand, a favorable result and space-saving geometry of the door leaf movement when opening and closing.

It is possible to arrange a latch bolt on both sides of the door leaf to ensure the best possible closing on both sides.

A lever is conveniently located on the left and right on opposite door leaf surfaces. It proves to be advantageous if the lock is designed so that the direction of rotation of the handle for opening the door is always the same, regardless of the location of the user. Disabled people in particular appreciate this ease of use. The invention therefore also provides a lock according to claim 7, which takes such claims into account.

The door has a door leaf 1, which is hinged to a lower arm 3 and an upper arm 4. The arms 3, 4 can be pivoted synchronously about an axis of rotation to the side of the door opening. In the exemplary embodiment shown, a pivotable gallows 2, which has arms 3 and 4, is provided for this purpose on the side of door leaf 1. These arms 3, 4 are connected via joints 5 and 6 to the lower end face 7 and the upper end face 8 of the door leaf 1. On the upper end face 8 of the door leaf 1 there is also a guide piece 9, e.g. a pivot, fastened, which is guided in a guide 10 lying parallel to the closed door leaf 1. As shown in FIG. 3, a plate 13 is attached to the top of the door leaf 1 by means of screws 12. This plate 13 has a pin 14 on which a ball bearing 15 is arranged. This ball bearing 15 thus forms a pivot which can run with little friction in the guide 10 of the upper part of the frame 11.

On one side of the door frame 11, an upper arm 19 and a lower arm 20 are arranged at the top, which carry a steel tube via an upper bearing 21 and a lower bearing 22, which forms the vertical pivot axis of the boom 2. The upper arm 4 consists of a hollow profile which is firmly connected to the steel tube 23. At the free end of the arm 4, a bolt 25 is mounted via an axial thrust bearing 24, which is provided with a thread 26 at its lower end and is screwed into the threaded opening of an upper extension 27 of the door leaf 1. The door leaf 1 can be adjusted in height by screwing the bolt 25 more or less into the thread of the attachment. A nut 28 secures the bolt 25 in the final position. On the lower end face of the door leaf 1, a lower extension 29 is arranged corresponding to the upper extension 27, in which a screw 30 is rotatably mounted and is screwed into a threaded bore 31 of the lower arm 3. The thread of the threaded bore 31 is clamped to prevent loosening of the screw 30. Between the lower arm 3 and the upper extension 29 there is a washer 32 which facilitates pivoting arranged. As can be seen in particular from FIG. 3, the guide element arranged on the upper end face 8 of the door leaf 1, for example a pivot pin 9, engages in the guide 10. In contrast to the exemplary embodiment shown, a corresponding pivot pin with guide could also be arranged on the lower end face of the door leaf 1. The lower pivot and the lower guide could be provided in addition to or instead of the upper guide and the upper pivot. Because of the risk of contamination, however, it is expedient to provide a guide 10 only at the top.

The door leaf 1 is provided with a door lock 36 with two lock parts 36 'and 36' '. The door lock 36 will be described in more detail later with reference to FIGS. 5 to 8. The door lock 36 has a handle 37, 37 'both on the left and on the right side of the door leaf 1. A pusher 37 is located on the front and a pusher 37 'is located on the rear of the door leaf 1. Advantageously, both pusher 37, 37' have the same direction of rotation for opening and closing. However, it would also be possible to provide a pusher on the front and / or on the rear left and right. The left 37 and the right pusher 37 'are coupled via a connecting member 39, such as a connecting rod, a rack or a connecting cable. This means that the door can be operated equally well on both the left and right sides. The pushers 37, 37 'can be arranged in both a horizontal and a vertical position. However, they are expediently vertically upward, so that they can also be operated, for example, with the handle of a stick.

In principle, a standard lock mechanism 40 can be used for a lock part 36 ', in which the latch bolt 41 can be actuated by a handle 37. A connecting rod 39 is provided, via which the Latch bolt 41 can also be actuated via the pusher 37 'of the other lock part 36''.

In Figure 6, only one handle 37, 37 'is shown on each side of the door leaf. However, it goes without saying that 1 pusher could be arranged on each side of the door leaf for each axis of rotation 43, 45 if required.

The lock 36 is designed in such a way that the pushers 37, 37 'can be actuated in the same direction of rotation to open and close the door. In other words, the person standing on the X side (Fig. 2) can open the door by turning the handle 37 clockwise, and the person standing on the Y side can also open the door by turning the handle Open 37 'clockwise. This is a great relief for a disabled door user. However, if one now looks at the lock 36 of FIG. 5 created for this purpose, it is found that this requires a rotation of the axis 43 in a clockwise direction (arrow 51), but that the axis 45 in Must be moved counterclockwise (arrow 53) in order to pull back the latch bolt 41 by means of the connecting rod 39 and thus release the door leaf 1.

The left and right lock parts 36 'and 36' 'are now shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. It should be noted that Figure 7 is a rear view.

As already stated, the lock part 36 '(FIG. 7) can have a standard lock mechanism 40. This has in a housing 42 the latch bolt 41, which is normally held in the position shown by a spring 48. If the pusher 37 (FIG. 5) rotates (arrow 51) against the force of the spring 48, the link 49 with the driver 50 pulls the latch bolt 41 into the housing.

The lock part 36 ″ (FIG. 8), which is connected to the housing 42 (FIG. 7) via the plate 52, has a link 54 with a driver 55. This driver 55 is normally held by the force of the spring 57 in the position shown, in which it strikes the pin 59. If the pusher 37 '(FIG. 5) rotates (arrow 53) against the force of the spring 57, the driver 55 moves the connecting rod 39 coupled to it. This has a pin in the lock part 36' (FIG. 7) 61, which engages in a slot 63 in the latch bolt 41, so that the latch bolt 41 is pulled into the housing 42 even when the pusher 37 'is actuated.

Eine Person, die von der Seite Y her den Türflügel öffnen oder schliessen will, benützt den dem Galgen 2 benachbarten Drücker 37.After considering the lock 36, the functioning of the door can now be examined in more detail. The functioning of the door can be seen particularly in FIG. 4. Figure 2 shows the door in the closed state. In Figure 4, the door leaf 1 is shown in a middle opening position. Curves A and B represent the trajectories of the front and rear edges of door leaf 1. It is clear from these trajectories that the swiveling range of the door leaf 1 is extremely small, so that a change of location is practically no longer necessary for the person operating the door. The actuation of the door is further facilitated by the arrangement of a lever 37, 37 'on the left or right side of the door leaf 1. A person who wants to open or close the door from the X side uses the bracket 2 far away lying push button 37 '. A person who wants to open or close the door from the Y side uses the lever 37 adjacent to the gallows 2.

The above explanations clearly show what advantages the door offers for people who are handicapped and who are in particular bound to a wheelchair. The door is particularly suitable for hospitals, nursing homes and retirement homes. But it can also be used with advantage wherever there is little space for a door, for example in telephone booths.

It should be noted that the door closes very well with the described door construction. When the latch bolt 41 falls into the latch opening 47 (FIG. 1), the door leaf 1 is practically held firmly at half the height. Since the door leaf 1 is relatively rigid, the arms 3 and 4 also remain in the position shown in FIG. 2, so that the door leaf 1 is also held well at 5 and 6. Furthermore, the door leaf 1 is also held by the guide member 9, which is arranged on the guide track 10.
