Description

The invention relates to a shower partition with at least one swivel wing according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a shower partition is known from EP 220 978 B1 and is used in particular in connection with bathtubs or shower trays as splash water protection. The known shower partition contains a swivel wing which is pivotally mounted about a vertical axis and is also arranged to be displaceable in the vertical direction. A vertically displaceable profile rail is provided, which is guided in a guide profile. The guide profile has a U-shaped cross section open in the direction of the axis of the swivel wing and contains on its inner surfaces dovetail guides for the displaceable profile rail. The guide profile in turn is arranged in a likewise U-shaped wall profile, which is firmly connected to a room wall. A compensating device, in particular with a gas spring, is provided in the interior of the guide profile in order to absorb the weight of the swivel wing and, if appropriate, other wings connected to it in a suitable manner. The swivel wing and possibly the other wings can thus in their position of use, For example, be brought into a lower, lowered position on the longitudinal edge of a bathtub in order to achieve effective splash water protection. By means of a lifting device which contains a cable pull, the guide profile and the pivoting wing articulated thereon can be raised in the vertical direction, the force required in this respect being reduced due to the compensating device. In the wall profile, pulleys are arranged above and below for the cable pull, and the cable pull is coupled to the displaceable profile via a bracket. The assembly and assembly require a not inconsiderable effort, and the poor accessibility of the deflection rollers and the cable pull poses difficulties with regard to possible maintenance work. : The piston and the rod of the gas spring are also difficult to access within the guide profile, especially since the vertically displaceable profile rail and the swivel wings have to be moved practically over the entire height due to the dovetail-shaped guides for assembly and / or maintenance work.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to further develop the shower partition of the type mentioned in such a way that functionally reliable guidance and actuation is ensured with little production and assembly effort. In order to raise and lower the swivel wing, stable components should be used with a simple construction and the risk of damage to the actuating means and the guide parts should be reduced to a minimum. The attachment and, if necessary, an exchange of the gas spring and other components for weight compensation and / or for raising or lowering should be possible with little effort.

This object is achieved according to the features specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

The proposed shower partition is characterized by a functionally reliable construction and enables the articulated swivel wing to be raised and lowered reliably with little effort. The shower partition has a compact design and enables the weight of the swivel wing and possibly other wings hinged to it or connected to it by means of a telescopic guide or the like to be reliably compensated with a few components. In principle, the guide profile has an H-shaped cross section and an intermediate wall. The gas spring and the associated elements for raising or lowering the swivel wing are arranged in a cavity of the guide profile, which is accessible from the rear over essentially its entire length. Thus, the gas spring and the elements mentioned can be easily installed. The displaceable profile rail, with which the pivot axis of the pivoting wing is defined, engages in a part of the guide profile which is open towards the front, guide elements being provided there. Said partition between the rear and the front cavity of the guide profile has an opening through which a connecting body passes. This connecting body is connected on the one hand to the vertically displaceable profile rail and on the other hand enables both the attack of the gas spring and of the actuating elements mentioned. This requires little space and material. The cylinder of the gas spring is also expediently fastened to the intermediate wall of the guide profile, the free end of the piston rod engaging in a recess or the like of the connecting body. Special screw connections or the like are not required, as a result of which the outlay on production and assembly is kept low.

Particular refinements and developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims and are set out in detail in the description below.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawing.

The drawing shows only a lower part of the shower partition, only a small part of the swivel wing 2 being shown in the vicinity of its swivel axis 4. The pivot wing 2 extends in the usual way according to the drawing to the right and also vertically upwards in height. The swivel wing 2 is associated with a profile rail 6, which can be displaced in the vertical direction with respect to a guide profile 8. Exploded in accordance with the dash-dotted line 10 to the left, a wall profile 12 is provided, which is connected in a known manner by means of screws to a wall of the shower room or bathroom. The swivel wing 2 has at its lower end and also at the upper end a hinge part 14 which are assigned corresponding hinge elements, not shown here, on the vertically displaceable profile rail 8. The hinge designed in this way defines the vertical pivot axis 4 already mentioned, about which the pivot wing 2 is pivotably mounted with respect to the profile rail 6. The inside of the guide profile 8 contains a clamping body 16 which, in cooperation with a screw engaging in a slot 18 of the wall profile 12, enables the guide profile 8 to be fixed on the wall profile 12. A further clamping body is expediently provided in the region of the upper ends of the guide profile 8 and the wall profile 12, which are not shown here. It can be seen that the guide profile 8 can be aligned with respect to the wall profile 12.

The guide profile 8 has an essentially H-shaped cross section and contains an intermediate wall 24 between its two mutually parallel outer legs 20, 22. It is thus a rear cavity 26 which is open to the wall profile 12 and a front cavity which opens to the pivoting wing 2 28 present in the guide profile 8. The Profilesclhiene 6 partially engages in the front cavity 28. In the front cavity 28 there are 6 U-shaped guides 30 on both sides of the profile rail, in which guide elements 32 connected to the profile rail 6 engage. At least two such guide elements 32 are advantageously spaced apart in the vertical direction over the vertical length of the profile rail 6. These guide elements 32 are made in particular of plastic, which, with the material of the guide profile 8, results in the lowest possible coefficient of friction, so that the raising and / or lowering of the pivoting wing has to take into account the lowest possible frictional resistance. The profile rail 6, the guide profile 8 and also the wall profile 12 are made of a metallic material, preferably anodized aluminum or an aluminum alloy, whereby the combination with the plastic guide elements 32 ensures smooth movement during vertical movements of the profile rail 6 with respect to the guide profile 8 becomes. The guides 30 are open and preferably U-shaped and do not have to absorb any forces transverse to the vertical longitudinal plane or the outer legs. The intermediate wall 24 is arranged in the immediate vicinity only at a short distance from the guides 30, as a result of which high stability with little use of material is preferably achieved. According to the invention, the guide elements 32 are only arranged at the upper and lower ends of the profile rail, which makes assembly considerably easier.

A connecting body 34 is connected to the profile rail 6 by means of screws or the like, as indicated by the dash-dotted lines 36. The intermediate wall 24 has an opening 38 through which the connecting body 34 engages from the front cavity 28 into the rear cavity 26. The vertical height of this opening 38 is greater than the height of the connecting body 34 by a predetermined amount. The swivel wing 2 is shown in the drawing in its lower, lowered position. The vertical height of the opening 38 is predetermined such that the swivel wing 2 can be lifted vertically in the required manner, the upper edge of the connecting body 34 largely approaching the upper edge of the opening 38, with direct contact advantageously being avoided.

A gas spring 40 with a cylinder 42 and a piston rod 44 movable relative to the latter is arranged in the rear cavity 26 for weight compensation. As can be seen, the cylinder 42 is inserted into a recess of a bearing body 46 which is open at the top and which is closed at the bottom. The bearing body 46 is inserted and locked with a fastening element 48 in a second opening 50 of the intermediate wall 24.

The free upper end of the piston rod 44 engages in a downwardly open recess in the connecting body 34. By means of the gas spring 40, a vertically upward force is exerted on the connecting body 34 and guided by this onto the vertically displaceable profile rail 6. The gas spring is dimensioned in such a way that, taking into account the lowest possible frictional forces between the profile rail 6 and the guide profile 8, the weight of the pivoting wing 2 and, if necessary, other wings connected to it is compensated. The spring characteristic of the gas spring is such that the weight compensation mentioned is practically independent of the respective vertical position of the piston rod 44 with respect to the cylinder 2. Since the gas spring with the cylinder 42, on the one hand, is only serrated into the recess of the bearing body 46 and, on the other hand, the free end of the piston rod 44 only engages from below into the associated recess of the connecting body 34, assembly can be carried out very easily, with complex fastenings, Screws or the like are not necessary. The gas spring 40 is easily in the rear cavity open to the wall profile 12 to use. If necessary, the gas spring 40 can also be replaced, for which purpose only the connection between the guide profile 8 and the wall profile 12 has to be made by loosening the clamping body 16 and the associated screw connections.

To raise or lower the profile rail 6 with the pivoting wing 2, actuating elements are provided which have a lever 52 in the rear cavity 26 of the profile rail 6. This protrudes into an upwardly open recess of the connecting body 34 and is articulated there by means of a bolt 54. The upper end of the lever 52 is connected eccentrically to a rotating body 56 in the rear cavity 26. This rotating body 56 has a central bore through which a pin 58 is passed. This pin 58 is designed here as a hexagon, but for example a groove and key or the like can be provided to prevent rotation of the pin with respect to the rotating body 56. The pin 58 penetrates the outer legs 20, 22 of the guide profile 8 on both sides and is pivoted there. Furthermore, a rotary handle 60 is also connected in a rotationally fixed manner in the pin 58. On the other side, a second twist grip is correspondingly provided outside the outer leg 22. The rotary body 56 is rotated by actuating one of these two rotary handles. Because of the eccentric arrangement of the lever 52, the lower end thereof and the connecting body 34, the profiled rail 6 and finally the pivoting wing 2 are raised or lowered vertically. The above-mentioned components of the actuating elements, like the connecting body 34, are light due to the arrangement in the rear cavity open to the wall profile 12 or on the outer sides of the guide profile 8. accessible so that assembly work and any maintenance work can be carried out easily.
