Beiden Ausführungsformen gemeinsam ist die Ausbildung eines Winkelprofilstabes, der sich über jeweils eine Ecke des Säulenkerns 10 erstreckt und diese Ecke umgreift. Claims (4)

  1. A column with rows of slot-shaped fixing apertures (11), arranged crosswise, for the detachable suspension of bracket or wall elements (2, 3, 12), comprising four cover members (4, 4a) mounted on a central column core (10) for the visual shaping of the column, each cover member having two spaced longitudinal walls (20) disposed at right angles to each other, said longitudinal walls being connected to each other via the region of each cover element forming a part of the outer contour of the column, and being provided at their free ends with a locking flange (18) via which the cover members (4, 4a) are connected to the column core (10), the column further comprising devices for the detachable securement of the cover members (4, 4a) to the column core, characterised in that the column core (10) is made of a metal tube with a square cross-section and has, outside each row of the first fixing apertures (11), at a spacing therefrom, second fixing apertures (13) for receiving and centering guide members (14) which serve to retain the cover members (4, 4a) on the column core (10), and in that the perpendicularly spaced longitudinal walls (20) of each cover member (4, 4a) are at right angles to the adjacent wall portion of the column core (10).
  2. A column according to claim 1, characterised in that the longitudinal walls (20) of each cover member (4, 4a) form, together with the facing longitudinal wall of the adjacent cover member, a guide channel (19) for the bracket or wall elements (2, 3) suspended in the slot-shaped fixing apertures.
  3. A column according to claim 1, characterised in that the guide members comprise a cover plate (16), a support zone (17) and a plurality of resilient pins (15) extending from the latter, and in that the pins are intended to engage in the second fixing apertures (13).
  4. A column according to claim 3, characterised in that the guide members (14) are made in one piece as impact-resistant plastics parts and are each provided with two resilient pins (15).
