Description

The invention relates to a device for removing high-purity liquids, in particular high-purity liquid chemicals from containers while largely avoiding particle contamination.

When removing high-purity liquids, such as organic solvents, acids and alkalis, which are necessary for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, polymer optical fibers, optical memories or highly integrated semiconductor components, from transport containers, the quality of the high-purity liquid must not be questioned. This means that in addition to chemical, particle contamination must also be largely excluded. In the removal device, therefore, parts sliding on one another, dead volumes and the supply of contaminated ventilation media must be avoided.

The invention solves the problem by a device which is characterized in that the device exists
  • a) from a connection plate with three holes, two of which each penetrate a connecting piece for risers and
  • b) a head plate with an integrated valve body for receiving at least two valve heads, the head plate having three holes congruent to the connection plate, one of which extends through the valve body and the other two holes on the one hand end in pipe sockets which protrude into the holes in the connection plate and on the other hand in channels for the high-purity liquids, which are arranged in the valve body and interrupted by the valve heads.

One of the holes can be arranged centrally and the other two holes can be arranged in mirror image to the central hole.

The valve body can be provided with two further channels which are connected to the channel system for the high-purity liquids via two additional valve heads. The connection plate can be designed as a matrix for the head plate and both plates can have devices for connecting to one another. Guide devices such as pins or small tubes can be arranged in the bores of the head plate provided with pipe sockets.

The advantages of the invention can be seen essentially in the fact that when the head plate is removed, the small liquid volumes remaining in the bores provided with pipe sockets inevitably and completely run back into the container. The removal system can be flushed without separating the top plate from the connection plate. The device has a low dead volume; the formation of particle nests in the chemical-carrying lines and bores is prevented. The construction of the valve body, which is integrated in the head plate, in conjunction with the use of diaphragm valve heads, enables switching processes that produce only a few particles.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of drawings which illustrate only one embodiment. It shows
  • 1 shows the connection plate in plan view,
  • FIG. 2 shows the removal device partially cut,
  • FIG. 3 shows a view of the head plate,
  • Figure 4 shows the section III-III of Figure 3 and
  • 5 shows the section IV-IV of Figure 4.

The removal device consists of a connection plate 4, which can be attached to the filling and removal opening 1 of a container with a union nut 21 or the like. 22 indicates the seal between the connecting plate 4 and opening 1. The connection plate 4 is provided with a continuous central bore 7, to which two bores 5, 6 are arranged in mirror image, each of which penetrates a connection piece 8 for the riser tubes (not shown) projecting into the container. The connection plate 4 is designed as a matrix for the head plate 9. It can have recesses 27, 28 which are arranged concentrically (27) around the central bore 7 or (28) around the bores 5, 6 and which receive the head plate 9 with the cylindrical bolts 19, 20. The bores 5, 6 open into the recesses 28. The head plate 9 has an integrated valve body 23 which is provided with at least two valve seats 16, 17 for receiving valve heads 2, 3. The top plate 9 has a central bore 12 which extends through the valve body 23 and forms the ventilation line for the container with the central bore 7 of the connection plate 4. The central bore 12 is a mirror image of two central bores 10, 11, which end on the one hand in pipe sockets 29, 30 which protrude into the bores 5, 6 of the connecting plate 4, and on the other hand in channels 31, 32, 33, 34 for the high-purity liquids , which are arranged in the valve body 23 and interrupted by the valve heads 2, 3. The top plate can be sealed against the connection plate with seals 24, 25, 26. For rinsing the removal device, the valve body 23 can be provided with channels 13, 14 for introducing rinsing liquids which end in two further valve seats 37, 38 and are connected to the channels 33, 34 via two valve heads (not shown). The channels 33, 34 are provided with line connections 35, 36. The ends of the projecting into the bores 5, 6 Pipe sockets 29, 30 can be chamfered, which accelerates an empty running of the bores 10, 11 when separating the connecting plate 4 and the top plate 9. A further acceleration of idling is achieved by arranging guide devices 18, such as pins. 15 indicates the coupling ring for connecting the head and connecting plate, 39 the cams of the connecting plate 4 into which the coupling ring 15 engages and 40 positioning cams for the head plate 9.

In order to ensure that only containers of the same content can be connected to the removal device and in the event that the connection plate 4 is to remain at the filling and removal opening 1 of the container, the connection plate 4 can be provided with a coding (holes) which correlated with corresponding means on the head plate 9 (not shown).
