La présente invention a pour objet une charnière à arrêt de porte intégré destinée à être montée sur les portes de véhicules automobiles, mais pouvant s'appliquer à tout
système comportant des ouvrants. Généralement, la liaison entre la porte et la caisse d'un véhicule est assurée, d'une part, au moyen de deux charnières, et, d'autre part, avec un dispositif appelé "arrêt de porte" dont le but est de limiter la course d'ouverture de la porte et d'assurer deux arrêts à des positions intermédiaires de ladite porte, dites positions de parking et de pleine ouverture.

Sur la figure 1 on a représenté une porte P de véhicule automobile avec ses charnières C1 et C2. La charnière inférieure C2 peut être une charnière de type connu, la charnière supérieure C1 étant une charnière selon la présente invention qui va être plus particulièrement décrite en se reportant aux figures 2 à 6.
La charnière à arrêt de porte C1 selon l'invention est constituée d'un charnon fixe 1 monté sur la caisse V du véhicule au moyen d'une bride 1a et d'un charnon mobile 2 fixé sur la porte P du véhicule également au moyen d'une bride 2a de façon connue en soi.
Le charnon fixe 1 comporte un alésage cylindrique 3 pourvu d'encoches 4 et d'évidements 5. Il reçoit un axe d'articulation 6 tournant entre deux paliers 7 et 8 munis de bagues autolubrifiantes 9 et 10. Ces paliers 7 et 8 sont vissés à chaque extrémité de l'alésage 3 du charnon fixe 1 pour permettre le montage de l'axe d'articulation 6. Cet axe d'articulation 6 comporte une partie centrale de plus grand diamètre, 6a munie de bossages 11 répartis à sa périphérie par groupe de deux.
Entre l'alésage 3 du charnon fixe 1 et l'axe d'articulation 6a sont insérées trois lames élastiques ou ressorts 12 (figures 4 et 5) destinées à coopérer avec les bossages 11 de l'axe d'articulation 6a.
Chaque lame élastique ou ressort 12 (figure 6) comporte en son milieu une protubérance 13 prenant appui sur les bossages 11 de l'axe d'articulation 6a et des pattes 14 destinées à venir se loger dans les encoches 4 de l'alésage 3 du charnon fixe 1 pour maintenir la lame élastique 12 en place dans ledit alésage lors de la rotation de l'axe 6.
Le charnon mobile 2 fixé sur la porte P est monté à l'extrémité supérieure de l'axe d'articulation 6 (fig.1 et 2) et est rendu solitaire dudit axe de façon que l'ouverture et la fermeture de la porte entraîne le pivotement dudit axe 6.
Cette solidarisation peut être obtenue par trois moyens représentés sur les figures 7 à 9 :

Each elastic blade or spring 12 (FIG. 6) has in its middle a protuberance 13 bearing on the bosses 11 of the hinge pin 6a and lugs 14 intended to be housed in the notches 4 of the bore 3 of the fixed knuckle 1 to hold the elastic blade 12 in place in said bore when the axis 6 rotates.
The movable knuckle 2 fixed on the door P is mounted at the upper end of the articulation axis 6 (fig. 1 and 2) and is made solitary of said axis so that the opening and closing of the door causes the pivoting of said axis 6.
This connection can be obtained by three means shown in Figures 7 to 9:

Le fonctionnement de la charnière selon l'invention est le suivant :
. Lorsque l'on ouvre la porte, le charnon mobile 2 entraîne l'axe d'articulation 6 en rotation par l'intermédiaire d'une des trois liaisons décrites et représentées sur les figures 7 à 9.
La rotation de l'axe 6 amène ses bossages 11 contre le bossage 13 de chacune des lames élastiques 12 provoquant la flexion de chaque lame 12 entraînant l'effacement du bossage 13 à l'intérieur de l'évidement 5 du charnon fixe 1. C'est l'effort d'effacement des lames élastiques (ressorts) 12 qui génère un couple de manoeuvre au niveau de la porte P du véhicule.
Les pattes 14 des lames élastiques 12 logées dans les encoches 4 les empêchent de tourner sous l'effort de rotation de l'axe 6.
Les lames élastiques 12 comportent des renforts 12a de manière à assurer la rigidité du bossage 13 (figure 6).
Sur les figures 10 à 12, on a représenté en coupe l'axe d'articulation 6a avec les lames élastiques 12 montées dans l'alésage 3 du charnon fixe 1 dans trois positions différentes. Comme on peut le voir sur ces figures, les bossages 11 de l'axe 6a sont disposés par groupe de deux afin d'obtenir deux points 11a et 11b de maintien sur la course de rotation de la porte, la variation du nombre de bossages 11 par groupe permettant de faire varier le nombre de points de maintien de la porte. Sur les figures, on a représenté l'axe 6a dans la position porte ouverte (fig.10) porte ouverte en position parking (fig.11) et porte fermée (fig.12).
Bien entendu, le nombre de bossages et de lames élastiques peut être moindre ou plus élevé pour obtenir des efforts de manoeuvre différents.
Par exemple, on a représenté sur la figure 14 une variante de réalisation de la charnière selon l'invention dans laquelle chaque moyen élastique est constitué de deux lames superposées, 12 et 12′. Ces lames peuvent avoir une configuration identique ou bien être différentes selon l'effort de manoeuvre que l'on désire obtenir.
De même, les angles sont donnés à titre d'exemples et ne sont pas limitatifs.
La butée pleine ouverture est assurée par une patte 22 du charnon mobile 2 qui vient au contact avec une portée 23 du charnon fixe 1 comme représenté sur la figure 13 qui montre, en plan, la charnière selon l'invention, la porte du véhicule ouverte au maximum.
Par ailleurs, le dispositif d'arrêt de porte précédemment décrit peut être inversé. Dans cette réalisation, l'axe d'articulation 6 avec sa partie centrale 6a, comportant des bossages 11 et les lames élastiques 12 destinées à coopérer avec les bossages 11 de l'axe d'articulation 6a sont disposés dans le charnon mobile 2.
Une variante de réalisation de la charnière à arrêt de porte intégré va maintenant être décrite. Cette réalisation a pour objet de renforcer la résistance des lames élastiques et d'augmenter ainsi leur longévité. Dans cette variante de réalisation on insère des butées en matériau élastique entre les lames 12 et l'alésage 3 du charnon fixe 1.
Ces butées disposées dans des logements prévus à cet effet dans le corps du charnon fixe, jouent un rôle d'amortisseur ou de ressort. Lors de la rotation de l'axe 6 du charnon mobile 2 lesdites butées élastiques sont comprimées et permettent d'obtenir des couples de manoeuvre importants.
Par ailleurs, la configuration des lames élastiques 12 est modifiée.
Dans la réalisation précedemment décrite ces lames comportaient chacune, trois pattes de fixation 14 ainsi que trois renforts 12a, destinés à assurer la rigidité du bossage 13. La lame élastique selon la variante ne comporte plus qu'un bord ou rebord continu plié assurant plus de rigidité à ladite lame.

As can be seen in these figures, the bosses 11 of the axis 6a are arranged in groups of two in order to obtain two points 11a and 11b for holding on the door rotation stroke, the variation in the number of bosses 11 per group allowing the number of door holding points to be varied. In the figures, the axis 6a is shown in the open door position (fig.10) with the door open in the parking position (fig.11) and the door closed (fig.12).
Of course, the number of bosses and elastic blades can be lower or higher to obtain different operating forces.
For example, there is shown in Figure 14 a variant embodiment of the hinge according to the invention in which each elastic means consists of two superimposed blades, 12 and 12 ′. These blades can have an identical configuration or be different depending on the maneuvering effort that one wishes to obtain.
Likewise, the angles are given by way of examples and are not limiting.
The full opening stop is provided by a tab 22 of the movable knuckle 2 which comes into contact with a bearing surface 23 of the fixed knuckle 1 as shown in FIG. 13 which shows, in plan, the hinge according to the invention, the door of the vehicle open to the maximum.
Furthermore, the door stop device described above can be reversed. In this embodiment, the articulation axis 6 with its central part 6a, comprising bosses 11 and the elastic blades 12 intended to cooperate with the bosses 11 of the articulation axis 6a are arranged in the movable knuckle 2.
An alternative embodiment of the hinge with integrated door stop will now be described. The object of this embodiment is to strengthen the resistance of the elastic blades and thus increase their longevity. In this variant embodiment, stops of elastic material are inserted between the blades 12 and the bore 3 of the fixed knuckle 1.
These stops arranged in housings provided for this purpose in the body of the fixed knuckle, act as a damper or spring. During the rotation of the axis 6 of the movable knuckle 2 said elastic stops are compressed and make it possible to obtain significant operating torques.
