Beim Einsatz des Scherkammkopfes zum Schneiden der langen Haare wird der Distanzkamm über den Rasierteil und den Scherkammkopf geschoben. Um das Gerät auf unterschiedliche Schnittlängen einzustellen, wird deshalb nur der Scherkammkopf verstellt, der hierzu über den Schaltschieber verschoben wird. In der Aus-Schaltstellung weist der Scherkammkopf zur Spitze des Distanzkammes den größten Abstand auf, so daß bei Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes das Haarschneiden grundsätzlich bei längster Schnittlängeneinstellung beginnt. Hierdurch wird eine unbeabsichtigte Kürzung der Haare ausgeschaltet. Erst durch eine Verstellung aus der unteren Raststellung 1 des Schaltschiebers in nachfolgende Raststellungen 2, 3 und 4 wird der Scherkammkopf bei aufgesetztem Distanzkamm auf jeweils kürzere Schnittlängen eingestellt, wobei die Stellung 4 einer Stellung entspricht, in der die Schnittlänge am kürzesten ist. Das obere, in Richtung des Scherkammkopfes (5), Ende des Längsschlitzes 13 zur Aufnahme des Antriebsfingers 14 kann so ausgebildet sein, daß bei Inbetriebnahme des Rasiergerätes durch Verstellung des Schaltschiebers 10 in die Position 1 der Antriebsfinger 14 nicht wirksam wird. Hierzu kann beispielsweise der Längsschlitz 13 eine Erweiterung aufweisen, so daß bei einer bestimmten Stellung des Schaltschiebers 10 keine Antriebsübertragung mittels des Antriebsfingers 14 auf den Scherkammkopf 5 erfolgt und nur der Rasierteil 4 angetrieben wird.The shaving comb head 5 consists of a shaving comb plate 11 and a shaving knife 12 (FIG. 4). Der Schaltschieber 10 befindet sich in seiner Aus-Stellung, die mit 0 gekennzeichnet ist und in der der Scherkammkopf 5 den größten Abstand zur Kammspitze des Distanzkammes 8 aufweist. Der Schaltschieber 10 läßt sich, wie aus Fig. 2 hervorgeht, aus der Rastposition 0 (Aus-Stellung) in die Rastposition 1 (Ein-Stellung) und in weiteren Rastpositionen 2, 3 und 4 verstellen, wobei die Rastposition 4 einer Stellung entspricht, in der die Spitze des Distanzkammes 8 den kürzesten Abstand B zum Scherkammkopf 5 aufweist. In der Rastposition 4 werden die Barthaare am stärksten gekürzt, während in der Rastposition 1 die Barthaare am wenigsten gekürzt werden. Durch den Schaltschieber 10 wird also bei einer Verstellung von der Rastposition 0 in eine Rastposition 1 der Scherkammkopf 5 in Betrieb genommen, wobei er, wie bereits erläutert, den größten Abstand zur Spitze des Distanzkammes 8 aufweist, so daß beim Einschalten des Rasier- und Haarschneidegerätes 1 eine unbeabsichtigte, zu starke Kürzung der Haare nicht möglich ist.Advantageously, the shaving comb head 5 is connected in one piece to the slide switch 10. Wie aus Fig. 4 hervorgeht, ist bei abgenommenem Distanzkamm 8 der Scherkammkopf 5 so angeordnet, daß er weit unterhalb des aktiven Arbeitsbereiches des Rasierteiles 4 liegt, so daß beim Rasiervorgang der Scherkammkopf 5 nicht stört. Bei abgenommenem Distanzkamm 8 läßt sich der Scherkammkopf 5 zum Fassionieren ebenfalls verwenden, wozu der Schaltschieber 10 lediglich aus der Rastposition 0 in Rastposition 1 verstellt zu werden braucht. Um die Handhabung des Scherkammkopfes 5 beim Fassionieren weiterhin zu erleichtern, ist es auch möglich, den Scherkammkopf 5 in der Rastposition 4 einzusetzen, in der er etwas oberhalb des Rasierteiles 4 liegt (siehe obere Stellung des Scherkammkopfes 5 in Fig. 2).As can be seen from FIG. 4, when the distance comb 8 is removed, the shaving comb head 5 is arranged so that it lies far below the active working area of the shaving part 4, so that the shaving comb head 5 does not interfere with the shaving process. Claims (5)

  1. A a shaving and hair trimming apparatus (1), with a motor-powered shaver assembly (4) which is comprised of a lower cutter and an upper cutter (6) for cutting short hair, with a relatively spaced trimmer head (5) which is comprised of a trimmer blade (12) and a trimmer plate (11) for cutting long hair and is slidably guided on the housing (3) of the shaving and hair trimming apparatus (1), as well as with a spacer comb (8) for the trimmer head (5), characterized in that the spacer comb (8) is adapted to be slipped over the shaver assembly (4) and the trimmer head (5) and is lockable in a fixed position on the housing (3), that the trimmer head (5) is adjustable within the spacer comb (8) from a lowermost operating position up to an uppermost operating position, when viewed in the direction of the trimmer head (5), and that the relative distance of the trimmer head (5) to the tip of the spacer comb (8) is at a maximum when the trimmer head is in its lowermost operating position.
  2. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the trimmer head (5) is adjustable by an ON-OFF slide control means (10) for the electric drive of the shaver assembly (4) and/or the trimmer head (5) of the hair trimmer.
  3. The apparatus as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the hair trimmer and the slide control means (10) form an integral unit.
  4. The apparatus as claimed in claims 1 and 3, characterized in that the trimmer head (5) of the hair trimmer, at least in its lowermost operating position, is outside the effective shaving range or below the shaver assembly (4).
  5. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 and/or claim 2, characterized in that the shaver assembly (4) and the trimmer head (5) are driven to oscillate by means of a single drive member (15) which, for driving the trimmer head (5), includes a laterally protruding drive finger (14) received in a longitudinal slot (13) provided in the drivable part of the trimmer blade (12) of the trimmer head (5), which is fixedly arranged at the upper end of the slide control means (10).
