Abstract

An electric shaver wherein the motor housing carries a separable frame for confinement of the cutter and the frame carries a separable casing for an apertured foil which overlies the cutter in assembled condition of the shaver. The frame has a window which is adjacent one side of the cutter and serves for insertion of the casing so that the latter can be attached to or detached form the frame only when the frame is separated from the motor housing. The coupling between the frame and the casing has complementary male and female coupling elements which are designed to confine the casing to movements at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the motor housing. The latter carries a reciprocable slide for a trimmer which can be moved to several positions with reference to the apex of the foil but remains in the general plane of the slide.

Bei den bisher bekannten, offenkundig vorbenutzten Verbindungsarten, erfolgt das Einsetzen des Wechselrahmens in den Scherkopfrahmen in aller Regel in Richtung der Längsachse des Trockenrasierapparates. Dies bedeutet, daß der Scherkopfrahmen eine nach vorn freie Öffnung aufweist, die durch den von oben her einführbaren Wechselrahmen geschlossen wird. Die Verbindungsmittel zwischen dem Wechselrahmen und dem Scherkopfrahmen sind dabei einmal im Bereich der Stirnwandungen des Wechselrahmens und zum anderen an den Innenwandungen von hochgezogenen Seitenwangen des Scherkopfrahmens angebracht. Der Einführbewegung des Wechselrahmens von oben her entsprechend sind sämtliche Verbindungselemente in Längsrichtung des Trockenrasierapparates ausgerichtet.Such dry shavers have obviously been used in numerous embodiments. Diese kann dadurch wieder aufgehoben werden, daß auf dem von der Außenseite der Wange zugänglichen Betätiger ein Druck ausgeübt wird. Aufwendig ist auch, daß das Betätigungselement für sich hergestellt und nachträglich in den Seitenwangen des Scherkopfrahmens gelagert werden muß. Auf diese Weise ist die eine Breitseite des Scherkopfrahmens 12 mit einer seitlichen Einschiebeöffnung 42 versehen, deren untere Begrenzungskante mit 26 bezeichnet ist. Diese untere Begrenzungskante 26 fällt mit der Oberseite des breiteren Steges 33 zusammen. Der Rastfinger 30 und die rinnenförmige Vertiefung 28 des Wechselrahmens 18 wirken beim Zusammenfügen von Wechselrahmen 18 und Scherkopfrahmen 12, welches in Richtung der Pfeile A nach den Fig. 8 und 9 der Zeichnung erfolgt, mit den Führungsleisten 35 bzw. 38 zusammen. Dabei überläuft die Rast 31 des Haltefingers 30 die untere Begrenzungskante der Führungs- und Halteleiste 38 mit dem Erfolg, daß ein Aufbiegen des Haltefingers 30 erfolgt. Die dadurch in dem Haltefinger geweckte Kraft wird dazu ausgenutzt, um in der Endlage die Rast 31 in ihre Sperrlage zu überführen, in welcher sie mit der seitlichen Begrenzungswand der Führungs- und Halteleiste 38 zusammenwirkt. Demgegenüber wirkt die längere Führungsleiste 35 mit der rinnenförmigen Vertiefung 28 des Wechselrahmens zusammen, wobei in der Endlage die hochgezogene Vorderkante 36 in den Durchbruch 29 des Wechselrahmens 18 eingreift. Claims (17)

  1. A dry shaver (10) comprising a housing (11) for mounting a long hair cutter (22) and for accommodating a drive for an oscillating lever (20) and a cutter head (21) and for releasably fixing a shearing head unit (12), the side wall portions (17) of which have guide and holding elements for releasably mounting an interchangeable unit (18) which also has guide and holding elements and the shearing foil (19) of which extends over the cutter head (21), characterised in that the shearing head unit (12) and the interchangeable unit (18) are provided with co-operating guide and holding elements (35, 38 and 28, 30 respectively) and can be brought into and out of engagement in a drawer-like manner by a movement which takes place transversely to the longitudinal direction of the dry shaver (10) after removal of the shearing head unit (12) from the housing (11) of the dry shaver (10).
  2. A dry shaver according to claim 1 characterised in that the shearing head unit (12) has at least one lateral insertion opening (42), disposed following which are holding and guide elements (35, 38) which are arranged at the inside surfaces of the side wall portions (17) and which extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the shearing head unit (12) and which releasably retain the inserted interchangeable unit (18) on the shearing head unit (12).
  3. A dry shaver according to claims 1 and 2 characterised in that the holding and guide elements (35, 38) are in the form of bar portions formed on the inside surface of the side wall portions (17) of the shearing head unit (12).

A dry shaver according to claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the one bar portion is in the form of a guide bar portion (35) which extends substantially over the entire width of the side wall portion (17), the edge (36) of the guide bar portion (35), which is the leading edge in the direction of the insertion movement of the interchangeable unit (18), being extended upwardly.
  5. A dry shaver according to one or more of the preceding claims characterised in that the side wall portions (17) of the shearing head unit (12) are connected together by limb portions (32, 33) which are disposed in displaced relationship relative to each other in respect of height in such a way that the lower limb portion (33) forms at the same time the lower boundary edge (26) for the lateral insertion opening (42) of the shearing head unit (12).
  8. A dry shaver according to claim 7 characterised in that the limb portions (32, 33) are of different widthwise dimensions and that the narrower limb portion (32) is disposed at the level of the holding and guide bar portions (35, 38).
  9. A dry shaver according to claim 1 and claim 2 characterised in that the holding and guide elements of the interchangeable unit (18) comprise a holding finger (30) which has a detent (31) and a channel-shaped groove (28) which is arranged parallel to the holding finger.
  10. A dry shaver according to claim 9 characterised in that the holding finger (30) and the channel-shaped groove (28) are separated from each other by a slot-like recess (43).
  11. A dry shaver according to claims 9 and 10 characterised in that the channel-shaped groove (28) terminates in an opening (29) at its end which is in opposite relationship to the direction of insertion of the interchangeable unit (18).
  12. A dry shaver according to one or more of claims 9 to 11 characterised in that the side walls (27) of the interchangeable unit (18), which have the holding and guide elements (30, 28), are connected together by a narrower front wall (41) and a wider rear wall (39).
  13. A dry shaver according to claim 12 characterised in that the wider rear wall (39) of the interchangeable unit (18) has an angled region (40) adjacent the shearing foil (19).
  14. A dry shaver according to claim 1 characterised in that the oscillating lever (20) and the cutter head (21) carried thereby are arranged inclinedly towards the long hair cutter (22) relative to the longitudinal axis of the dry shaver (10) (Figure 2).
  15. A dry shaver according to claim 12 characterised in that the narrower front wall (41) of the interchangeable unit (18) is arranged above the holding finger (30) and the channel-shaped recess (28) is arranged at the side walls (27) thereof.
  16. A dry shaver according to claim 14 characterised in that the long hair cutter (22) can be put into a plurality of operative positions by means of a slider (23) and that in its first operative position the long hair cutter (22) is disposed at the level of the shearing foil (19) which is disposed on the inclinedly arranged cutter head (21) while in its uppermost operative position it is far above the apex line of the shearing foil (19).
  17. A dry shaver according to claims 1 and 14 characterised in that the cutting tools of the long hair cutter (22) are positioned parallel to the plane of sliding movement of the slider (23).
