Description

The invention relates to a knife with a grommet into which at least the blade of the knife can be countersunk, a shear plate having a side recess on a base body provided on the grommet, which has on one side a nose-like recess lying above the recess of the base body and on which a T-shaped bolt is arranged, wherein the blade has at least one cutting edge and wherein an opening is also provided in the blade through which the bolt can be passed.

Such known knives can be used to cut wires or similar rod-like material. For this purpose, the knife with the opening in the blade is placed over the bolt on the cutting plate of the spout so that the knife around the The pin axis is pivotable, the pin axis also serving to support the blade of the knife. The shear blade then forms the actual cutting tool together with the nose-like recess of the shear plate. A wire is inserted into the nose-like recess for cutting, whereupon the knife blade with the cutting edge is moved towards the piece to be cut and this is first clamped and then cut. In the known knives, the recess of the base body lying under the insert is almost congruent with the nose-shaped recess of the insert. This enables a certain gripping effect of the material to be cut. A taut wire is overlapped by the projection on the cutting plate as well as by the appropriately designed projection of the base body over a certain width, so that the cutting process takes place under pressure loading of the taut material and the cutting movement of the blade. It can now happen that the material to be cut gets stuck between the blade and the cutting plate, since they have a certain amount of play with one another. The cut material is jammed in the scissors and impairs cutting or makes it completely impossible. The jammed wire can also not be moved by moving the scissors made of knife and grommet, because by placing it on the tightly tensioned wire and the gripping action of the base body and the shear plate, there is no scope for the wire to evade in the direction required to loosen the jam .

It is therefore the object of the invention to improve the known knife with grommet so that with the cutting tool formed from the knife and grommet it is also possible to cleanly cut material which tends to become jammed in the cutting tool.

This object is achieved by a knife with a grommet of the type mentioned at the outset with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. An advantageous embodiment is the subject of the dependent claim.

In the case of a knife with a spout according to the present invention, the recess of the base body is U-shaped and in its deepest region it is essentially congruent with the deepest region of the nose-like recess, while in the region of a projection formed below the nose-like recess it recedes behind it.

If the cutting or shearing tool is now formed in the manner described above and is used for cutting, for example, tightly tensioned wire material, the tool can still be moved even if the part of the material to be cut has become jammed between the blade and the shaving plate, because when moving the The material of the shaving tool also has a certain freedom of movement in the direction of the cutting, which is necessary so that the clamping of the material is eliminated since the material no longer lies directly against the base body. However, the gripping effect is retained due to the recess of the cutting plate which is still nose-shaped.

If the recess of the base body forms a corner with the latter, which protrudes beyond the nose-like recess and beyond the cutting plate, the material to be cut can be supported at this corner, thereby avoiding that it avoids the cutting movement.

The knife 1 shown in FIG. 1 has a blade 11 which is firmly connected to a booklet 10. The booklet 10 is made of plastic, for example, and is designed so that it can be gripped by ribs formed thereon. At the top of the booklet 10, a clamping device 9 is attached, which is used to plant the knife on a rifle. The blade 11 has a knife edge 12 which is slightly convex towards the tip 15 of the knife 1. A saw 16 is provided on the back of the knife in the area near the handle 10, which is followed by a shear blade 13 in the direction of the tip 15 of the knife 1. A further, slightly concave cutting edge 14 is provided between the cutting edge 13 and the tip 15, which meets the cutting edge 12 in the tip 15 of the knife 1. At the level of the shear blade 13, an opening 17 is provided on the blade 11, which is essentially rectangular. On the underside of the booklet 10 there is a lever 19 which is fixedly connected to this and a ring 18 opposite, these devices being used as tools.

Fig. 2 shows a spout 2, in which the blade 11 of the knife 1 can be lowered. The spout has one in its upper area Stop 26 for the booklet 10 or the tools attached to the booklet. At the stop 26, a fastening piece 27 is also provided, in which a belt 29 or the like can engage by means of a snap spring 28. The grommet 2 also consists of a housing 20 made of rigid, unyielding material, the lower region of which is designed as a base body 22. A cutting plate 3 is fastened on the base body 22 with the aid of three screws 35, 36, 37. The screws 35, 36 are countersunk, the screw 37 is raised and at the same time serves as a stop for the cutting edge 13 when the cutting or shearing tool is formed from the knife 1 and the spout 2. A bolt is provided on the shear plate 3, the outer dimensions of the bolt plate 31 being designed such that it can be guided precisely into the opening 17 of the knife 1. The base body 22 ends with an elevation 21, which serves as a stop for the shear plate 3. The shear plate 3 is angled in its upper region and lies against such an angled recess of the elevation 21, so that the shear plate 3 is largely secured against pivoting. At the lower area of the shear plate 3, a screw blade 32 is provided as an additional tool. The shear plate 3 also has a laterally arranged nose-like recess 33 which, together with a projection 34 of the shear plate 3, ensures that a piece of material guided into the nose-like recess 33 is held in a gripping manner. The base body 22 is also provided with a recess 23 in the region of the nose-like recess 33.

Fig. 3 shows the arrangement of the shear plate 3 and the base body 22 with their recesses 23, 33 in detail. The recess 23 of the base plate 22 is essentially U-shaped and extends in its deepest region 41 approximately congruently with the nose-like recess 33, even if the deepest region 38 of the nose-like recess 33 protrudes somewhat above the deepest region 41. The base body 22 also forms the recess 23 has a corner 40 which projects beyond the shear plate 3 and its nose-like recess 33. The recess 23 is in the lower region of the base body 22 behind a projection 34 of the shear plate 3. The pin is arranged on the central axis of the shear plate 3, the pin plate 31 having its longitudinal axis being pivoted about 40 ° against the central axis of the shear plate 3. The countersunk screws 35 and 36 are arranged on both sides of the bolt. The screw 37 serving as a stop is also attached to the central axis in the lower area of the shear plate. The elevation 21 serving as a stop for the shear plate 3 is formed in one piece with both the base body 22 and the housing 20.

A bore 24 serving as a centering aid is provided in the lower area of the base body, a corresponding cam of the shear plate 3 engages in this bore. In the vicinity of the screw blade 32, a bushing 25 is attached to the base body 22, through which a cord or the like can be pulled. The recess 23 of the base body 22 is in its lower region behind the nose-like recess 33 and the projection 34, while in the upper region it projects with the corner 40 over the shear plate 3.

The bolt arranged on the shear plate 3 consists of bolt shank 30 and bolt plate 31. The height of the bolt shank 30 is chosen so that the blade 11 can be pivoted with play between the shear plate 3 and the bolt plate 31, ie it can be tilted by small angles . The shear plate 3 protrudes little above the elevation 21. The distance between screw 37 and bolt shaft 30 is chosen so that the back area of the blade 11 is can move between these two parts and that the cutting edge 13 strikes against the screw 37 after completion of the shearing movement. The screw blade 32 projects beyond the base body 22. The overall dimensions of the recess 23 are larger than the nose-like recess 33, as a result of which a certain play is given to the part of the material to be cut which is not sheared off.

Nach Beendigung der Schneidbewegung schlägt die Scherschneide 13 an die Schraube 37 an.Fig. 6 shows the arrangement of knife 1 and spout 2 as a cutting tool in detail. The blade 11 is guided with the opening 17 over the bolt plate 31 and can move about the bolt shaft 30 as an axis. The piece of material to be cut is placed in the deepest point of the nose-like recess 33. The blade 11 is then moved in the direction of the arrow into the bolt shaft 30 until the material is cut off. After the cutting movement has ended, the cutting edge 13 strikes the screw 37.

The aim of the invention is to avoid that the material to be cut tilts during the cutting process, because by tilting the material to be cut can push the blade away from the shear plate. This would make the cut imprecise and possibly even the material to be cut is not cut or cut at all, but only bent.

The material to be cut can tip over in particular if the material to be cut is particularly hard and / or if the cutting edges of the blade and the shear plate are no longer very sharp and / or if the play between the blade and the shear plate is too great.

In order to prevent the material to be tipped from tilting and thus the blade and shaving plate being able to be pushed apart to an undesirable extent, a counterhold for the material to be cut has been proposed according to the invention. For this purpose, the V- or U-shaped nose recess is designed as described.
