Um andererseits zu verhindern, daß das Deckelteil die Arretierstellung schon beim Ziehen des Gurtbandes zwecks Anpassen der Länge einzunehmen sucht, können an dem Deckelteil und/oder an dem Gehäuse eine Hemmung vorgesehen sein, die das Öffnen des Deckelteils gegen eine definierte Kraft verhindert. Diese Neigung kann wirkungsvoll noch dadurch unterbunden werden, daß das Deckelteil mit seitlichen Grifflächen zum Erfassen und Gegenhalten des geöffneten Verschlusses beim Verstellen des Gurtbandes versehen wird.     - the cross-piece part (2) of the housing (1) is reinforced by a metal insert frame (6) receiving the tension forces of the belt strap (15,17) and
    - the cover part (8) has a construction which at least in the closed position produces a smooth transition between the cover part (8) and housing (1) in the tension direction of the belt strap (17,18).
  2. A fastener according to Claim 1, characterised in that the metal insert frame (6) is a flat punched sheet metal part, which is mounted in the housing (1) by injection moulding.
  3. A fastener according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the cover part (8) on tension loading of the belt strap (17 and 18) is automatically brought into the arresting position.
  4. A fastener according to one of Claims 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that the opening angle of the cover part (8) is limited to approximately 45° by a stop.
  5. A fastener according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that on the cover part (8) and/or on the housing (1) there is a catch, which prevents the opening of the cover part (8) against a defined force.
  6. A fastener according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the cover part (8) is provided with lateral handle faces (14,14a) for picking up and holding the opened fastener on adjusting the belt strap (17,18).
  7. A fastener according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the cover part (8) has a passage (20) for the free end (18) of the adjustable belt strap (17), in order to guide this in the direction of the non-adjustable belt strap (15).
  8. A fastener according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that between the shanks (7) of the housing (1) and the side-pieces (9) of the cover part (8), detent constructions (19) are provided.
